After dressing in one of Harry's t-shirts which I oh so gracefully tied around my waist to show I actually cared and teaming it off with a high waisted black skirt, I proceeded with doing my hair and make up. Harry had left while I was getting ready to meet Taylor. It was her last day in London before she had to complete the rest of her tour in Europe and he was showing his support by being by her side.
The next time we would be seeing her is at the engagement party. Ever since Harry had dropped the bomb shell of their planned wedding date, myself and Louis didn't have time to prepare. Even though Taylor had chosen Selena to be her maid of honour, it was me doing all the work. Harry calls me his 'best woman' while Louis is the best man.
We were meeting in Louis' home. As he is one of the members of the biggest boy band, it was hard to find a suitable place where we didn't get bombarded with paparazzi. I didn't mind the fans as much, they were all adorable.
I pulled up in Louis' driveway, his brilliant security system granting me access straight into his home. Louis had everything planned out, whereas Harry went the first couple of months without a security system and fans ended up inside his sanctuary.
"Don't you look lovely today" My frenemy greeted me in his squeaky yet deep voice. I knew Louis was referring to the t shirt I was wearing, I could practically see the sarcasm dripping in his statement.
"Still your charming self I see" I reply back, my eyes raking up and down his body as a smirk formed on my lips.
Mine and Louis' love hate relationship is something of a treat to watch. I can see from the corner of my eyes, a gleam of red hair. Looks like Anna is on time for once and from the smirk on her lips I could tell she is enjoying watching me and Louis at it again.
"Now now, don't be a spoilt sport. come here and give me a hug" Louis opened his arms wide as I ran into him. Even when we are cruel to each other, there's no denying the brother/sister relationship we had.
"I've missed you lou" I whisper into his chest. The last time I had seen him was at the airport and that was only a brief encounter.
"It wasn't like you wouldn't see me again Sydney" Louis replied in a cheeky tone.
I lightly slapped his chest as we pulled away from each other.
"A simple I miss you too would suffice" I glared at him before breaking out into a smile. Damn was it hard being mad at these boys.
I looked towards Anna who was standing beside me now. Her beautiful red hair fell over her shoulders in waves, her fair skin contradicting the piercing cloudy green of her eyes.
"Didn't you miss me?" She asked, her eyes gleaming with playfulness.
We had been friends since college and although our personalities clashed, she was still one of the people I hold closest to my heart.
"I missed you more than I missed Lou" I replied with a childish grin etched across my face. Louis huffed and stomped his feet like a child making me and Anna erupt into a fit of giggles. Now this is a friendship group that meant more to me than anything.
We hugged before making our way to Louis' luxurious cream sofas and vintage looking coffee table which had various papers scattered upon it. I sighed inwardly, today is going to be a long day.
"Where shall we start?" Anna asked. she was also a bridesmaid, and although Taylor knew nothing about her, the idea of having tens of thousands of bridesmaids made Taylor a happy human.
"The theme" Louis suggested.
We rifled through a few pieces of papers within Taylors wedding book, before each grabbing a theme we liked. I was the first to speak.
"I like this one" I said as I showed the piece of paper entitled 'Little black dress'. It listed all the plans and ideas Tay liked.
"It's elegant, and not in your face if you know what I mean" I continued as I looked at my two good friends who were jotting down what I was saying in their separate notepads.
"I know how Harry likes being subtle and Taylors a classy woman so this fits them perfectly. It's very simple and we can keep the decorations to being white or cream so it contrasts from what everyone is wearing"
I finished my explaining as Anna and Louis looked my way.
"I agree, plus no one can pull off black better than Harry" Anna added, making us all chuckle lightly.
"Lets just hope people don't take 'Little' too seriously and turn up in skimpy dresses" Louis added cheekily. I smiled at him before looking at Anna.
"Your turn Anna"
She let out a deep breath before smiling my way.
"Well I like the idea of having a masquerade ball for their engagement. You know I'm a sucker for fairy tales and I can see us planning this! With Sid's knowledge on books and our creativity put together, it will be a ball everyone will remember" She said.
I kept my eyes glued to my notepad, Taylor had gotten the idea for a masquerade ball when I had told her my dream engagement party.
I could feel both pairs of eyes on me as I groaned loudly.
"Don't you like the idea?" Anna asked looking offended. But before I could reply, it was Louis who spoke up on my behalf.
"The idea is great but it is a no no. That's for our beauty here" he pointed my way as my mouth formed an 'O' shape. How the hell did he know?
"I don't get it" Anna questioned as she stared at me, trying to figure out what Louis had meant. Again, Louis stepped in. I am grateful as I seem to have lost my voice.
"Harry once told me Sydney's dream engagement is having a masquerade ball, and I think we should keep her dream alive. There's plenty of other themes we can follow"
I looked at my frenemy and gave him one of my biggest smiles, that's one of the sweetest things he has ever said to me.
Actually, if I think about it, that is the only nice thing he has ever said to me.
"Oh, I'm sorry Sydney I didn't know" Anna frowned as she looked at her fingers.
"It's not your fault babe" I shot her a small smile, earning a heart warming smile from her.
"My turn" Louis shouted, making us both stare at him.
"I also liked the idea of having a black dress and black tie engagement party. Like Sid said, it fits them both perfectly. And since Harry will be leaving so..."
My body froze as Louis trailed off, not fully completing the sentence. My eyes widened at the mention of Harry's departure of leaving after his wedding. Even if Louis hadn't fully said it, I knew exactly what he was referring too. Anna's eyes seem to be popping out of her head as she sent Louis a death glare. She was also there when Taylor had 'accidently' let slip their plans.
"I-I'm so sorry Sydney, I shouldn't have said anything" Louis quickly rushed to my side and hugged me tightly. I truly am grateful for how Lou is being today.
I whispered a small 'It's okay' before pulling away.
"I can't believe he still hasn't mentioned anything to you" Anna growled, the anger evident on her soft features.
"Still nothing?" Louis questioned, his arm still around my shoulder. I shook my head lightly before dropping my gaze on the notepad in my lap.
"I don't understand why he hasn't. He's told you and the lads" I whispered, but it was still audible in the quiet room.
"He's probably just scared love" Louis whispered as he placed a kiss against my forehead.
"Your being awfully nice today" I replied light heartedly, a feeble attempt to change the subject. From the looks I am currently receiving, I can tell both Lou and Anna know I have no intentions to keep the conversation on the horrible revelation that my best friend will be leaving me soon.
"What are big brothers for?" Louis said as I wrapped my arms around his waist and hugged back tightly.
"So we aren't frenemies any more?" I asked with a pout, earning low chuckles from both Louis and Anna.
"We're both love" he replied. Anna moved closer to both of us as we came together for a group hug.

The clock read 10:00pm when I entered my home. The plans for the engagement party was almost complete as we began making phone calls to make things official.
Louis had called Harry to check if the plans were okay and I called Taylor. After hearing several squealing sounds and happy claps, it's safe to say we decided on the perfect theme. We all agreed on having the guests wearing black. Louis had suggested the decorations to be all white with a hint of an icy blue, while also having lanterns hanging from the ceiling.
We debated on whether we should have any flowers, but finally agreed on having centre pieces on each table. Anna was still determined to have a fairy tale like feeling and so we came to the conclusion of having a huge dance floor situated in the middle and all guests will have to dance.
I felt content with the arrangement but a small voice kept reminding me that now the engagement was official, it also meant that Harry's soon departure had become very real. I don't know how I feel about that.
I checked my phone and replied back to Marks text messages, I had only briefly spoken to him to let him know the plans. Mark reckons I could have a career in wedding planning. I couldn't help but laugh at the thought, My mind felt at ease as my phone rang beside me, Marks name illuminating the dark room.
A content smile graced my lips as his voice travelled through the phone.
