Harry Potter
It's been a year since the war happened. And because of the war, everyone was to repeat the year because we haven't completely finished half of the year. Now that the war is finally over, everything's back to normal... well, at least magically normal. And just in case another war happens, Dumbledore's Army remains active. Hopefully the Death Eaters won't cause Hogwarts anymore trouble. All of Hogwarts are living in peace, but unfortunately the war left not only battle scars, but emotional scars as well. Professor McGonagall became the new substitute teacher in Defense Against the Dark Arts, since all of the professors who fought in the war faced great fatalities. Even though we have Professor McGonagall, we're all still saddened about the destruction and fatalities the war caused. As for me, the relationship with my friends remains close; the same with Ron and Hermione. I'm glad that even though we faced such difficult times, we all still remained sane and strong.
Hogwarts is finally rebuilt thanks to the Aurors and teachers. All of us were excited to go back in the castle. Me, Hermione, and Ron needed to complete our seventh year. And there were rumors about Draco and the Dark Angels returning in Hogwarts to complete their year. Hopefully they really changed for the better. Despite Draco being a mean bully to almost everyone in Hogwarts, many still expected him to fight Voldemort and save Hogwarts.
"Blimey, Harry! Aren't you gonna go inside?" Ron exclaimed, he was more ecstatic than I was.
"Uhm... I was about to when—." I said and he cut me off by dragging me in the Great Hall. Wow! The Great Hall has decorations in the ceiling like before when the school is about to end. Old times...
"Okay guys! The boy who lived has arrived!!" Ron announced to our friends. They all cheered and clapped for me. I felt slightly uncomfortable, knowing that I wasn't, good in taking this much attention.
"I knew you'd beat you know who." Seamus beamed, happily. This cause the cheer a bit louder. I took a seat next to Hermione and prepare to eat breakfast. Everything changes this year. It's kinda odd that Dumbledore and Snape are not here anymore. The kind of odd that makes you feel empty... like something's missing. I realized that Snape loved my mom ever since he laid his eyes on her. It made me feel pity for him. I actually understand why he hates the three of us together now. I remind him of my mother's eyes, Ron remind him of her Ginger hair, and Hermione remind him of my mum's intelligence and that she's a muggle. Snapping me out of my fantasy, I ate my meal and began a conversation.
"Hey, Hermione..." I started.
"Yeah...?"
"Do you think everything is going to be alright after the war?" I asked Hermione, remembering all what happened last year.
"I don't know. We can never tell if something bad is about to happen." She replied, before drinking her orange juice. I'm just really worried. What if You-Know-Who is still alive. "If you're thinking about Voldemort and the Death Eaters, they wouldn't dare attack Hogwarts again."
"Well, yeah... It's just that, everything changes." I mumbled.
"I know it's hard to accept the fact that Dumbledore is dead... but no one will dare to declare another war after you defeated Voldemort by yourself." She said, while reading a book. Hermione always spend her day reading in the library, that's how smart and responsible she is. "What's our first class?"
"Potions." Ron replied, stuffing some foods in his mouth. He always does that every morning.
"Ronald Weasley! That's very disgusting to eat your breakfast." Hermione scolded. Some Gryffindor students turned to looked at Ron with a strange look. Then we heard some footsteps from behind. I turn around and saw Draco Malfoy with his gang. Vincent Crabbe, Daniel Cheng , Brian Thompson, and Blaise Zabini. I know Draco is sad because he lost one of his best friend, Goyle, who died because of the fire spreading in the room of requirement. Some of the students whisper something to their friends when they saw Draco. He never wanted to join the Death Eaters. It's just because his father forced him to and his mother Narcissa. By the way, where is Charles? He's one of our friends in Gryffindor and the younger brother of Brian. They don't get along that much because Charles likes muggle stuffs and Brian doesn't. He strictly believes in Pure Blood Lineage while Charles believes that Pure Bloods and Muggle Borns are the same.
"Hey guys." A voice greeted, we turned around and saw Charles running towards us.
"Hi, Charles." All of us greeted back and he just nodded.
"What's your first class, Harry?" He asked, while checking some notes on his book.
"Potions with Professor Slughorn." I replied, tapping the table with my finger.
"That's great! Mine is Defense Against the Dark Arts." He said, smiling. We all know that Charles is a cheerful person, unlike his brother, emotionless all the time even when he gets embarrassed in front of the people. Brian is also a smart student, and a bit sarcastic, sometimes, but he bullies students for no reason.
"Well, that's good to hear." Ron said, mouth full of food. As usual.
"Hermione!! You got to help me!!" Charles pleaded out of nowhere. "I don't understand this!!" He whined dramatically. Classic Charles. Hermione turned her full attention to Charles and helped him.
"I'll teach you later. Don't worry." Hermione reassured Charles. This caused him to exhale in relief. "It's kinda easy."
"Thank you Hermione! You're the best!" Charles said as he hugged Hermione. She just smiled at him and returned to read her book. "It's just that I wanted to pass Defence Against the Dark Arts."
"Charles, you're a smart student. I know that you can pass it." Ron said, giving him a thumbs up. "Your brother is also smart but he needs to lessen his pride when it comes to the wealth of the family."
"Thanks. Yeah, it's been years since we had been close to each other... In fact, the whole years of our lives." He said and lowered his voice when he mentioned his closure with Brian. He was kinda sad when said that.
"If only Draco didn't influenced him, he'll be a good brother to you." Hermione said, truthfully. All of us nodded in agreement. "Maybe someday he'll come to his senses that he never had a brother who will always be there for him when he needs him."
"Hermione's right. Besides, all of us in Dumbledore's Army are like a big family." I said, smiling at Charles. "And you'll always be our little brother."
"Thank you, guys. I couldn't be the person I am right now if I hadn't met you all." Charles said.
"Guys, I hate to break the drama, but we need to go..." Neville said as he looked at his muggle watch. "Class starts within 10 minutes."
"It's a good thing that Professor Slughorn is handling Potions." Ron said trying to be true to all of us. "His teaching methods are better than Snape."
"Ron! Be careful with the words you're saying." Hermione retorted, slapping Ron's arm. "I think it's best if we head to our classrooms already."
"She's right. I don't wanna be late on my first class." Ginny said, standing up from her seat. "Bye guys. I'll see you later."
"I'll be going now. Bye." Hermione said, as she walked away from us and followed Ginny.
"Looks like Hermione influenced my sister." Ron chuckled.
