Chapter 52-Fault
***Reneesme's POV***
We drove home with Amelia beside me. She was sleeping soundly but had a sad face on. I guess she can't escape her feelings. I am in Dad's Volvo, at the moment. Max is riding with Jacob. They found him pacing in a class room in the school. He is angry, yes, but no-one deserved what he did to Amelia. He is definitely going to regret breaking up with her after he calms down but at the meanwhile he doesn't realize what the hell he had done.
I was going to let him have it. I was angry with him for doing such a thing. He deserved what she got. The drive home was silent apart from everyone breathing. As soon as we pulled up, I took off mine and Amelia's seat belt and Dad opened the door to pick her up. I got out of the car and saw Max entering the house. I stalked after him as he walked upstairs, to his bedroom and was about to close his door.
I held my hand on the door refraining him from shutting it completely. He was stronger then me but my action got me a glare.
"What do you want?" He asked darkly. I glared at him. I've argued with him before but that is going to be nothing compared to what is going to happen now.
"Why did you break up with her?" I said and fully opened the door and walked into his room. He turned to look at me.
"I did what I had to do what is it to you?" He said. I felt like rolling my eyes at him.He had no idea what he was saying. It was like a monster took over him.
"What is it to me? Well you just made a very big mistake! YOU broke up with her, YOU broke her heart! YOU were supposed APOLOGISE to her! Not the OPPOSITE! Do you have any idea of what state she is in? You just made it hundred's times worse for her!" I said. He rolled his eyes at me.
"She didn't love me. She never loved me. So what's the point of being in a FREAKING relationship with her?!" He said. I felt like slapping him, I really did.
"She does love YOU! YOU know that! Maybe it's just YOU that doesn't LOVE her!" I said nearly shouted. He glared at me menacingly but it didn't scare me. The gap between us was close enough for one of us to do something reckless.
"SHE NEVER DID! And MAYBE I don't love her, maybe I NEVER did. Maybe I just did it for the HELL of it. But you know what? I DID love her. DID, I just opened my eyes and saw the truth!" He nearly shouted at me. And with that I did slap him. There was clap sound to when my hand hit his cheek.
"DON'T SAY THAT! SHE DID LOVE YOU MORE THEN YOU PROBABLY EVER REALISE! BUT YOU ARE TOO STUPID TO REALISE THAT! YOU LET YOU ANGER TAKE OVER ALL YOUR EMOTIONS SO THAT YOU DON'T FEEL ANYTHING APART FROM IT! SHE DESERVES BETTER THEN YOU! SHE HAS DONE NOTHING WRONG! YOU CAUSED THE PROBLEMS SHE TRIED TO FIX IT! YOU ARE ALL ABOUT YOURSELF HAVE YOU EVER THOUGHT ABOUT ANYONE BUT YOURSELF OR IS THAT TOO HARD FOR YOU? SHE CARES ABOUT EVERYONE BEFORE HERSELF SHE WOULD DO ANYTHING TO MAKE YOU OR ANYONE ELSE HAPPY! MAYBE I SHOULD TELL HER TO NEVER BE WITH YOU AGAIN BECAUSE YOU ARE SOME SELF-OBSESSED JERK! YOU PROBABLY ONLY REALISE THINGS IF SHE LEAVES AGAIN AND NEVER COMES BACK!" I shouted at him. I hadn't realised but 1) Tears were streaming down my face and 2) the whole family was in the room- well apart from Amelia. But I wouldn't be surprised if she woke up and heard everything. And she did. She was standing in the threshold looking at the scene. Max hadn't realised that she was there and said
"WELL MAYBE THAT'S WHY I DID IT! SO SHE GOES AND NEVER COMES BACK!" He said. Then three things happened at once. I was going to attack him, Mum held on to me and Aunt Rose held on to Max and Amelia was out of sight. The rest of the family rushed out to see where she had gone.
"LOOK WHAT YOU JUST DID SHE IS GONE!" I shouted at him. More tears fell from my eyes, if what Max had just said made Amelia gone forever, he was beyond dead.
"Max don't say a word." Aunt Rose said. He didn't respond to her and tried to break out of her grip, obviously he couldn't.
"What is wrong with you two?" Mum asked.
"She started it. She came her to pick a fight with me." Max stated.
"He deserved it!" I protested.
"Max, you need to have a time out. Come on." Aunt Rose said and took him out of the room as he glared at me. Mum let go of me and I turned around to face her.
"What if she doesn't come back?" I asked. The rage in me was forgotten and I was filled with sadness. She heard everything. So if she leaves, it would be an expected action.
"I don't know sweetie. There is nothing we could do. It would be hard to find her. And if we did find her she would run away." She said. I gave mum a hug and then cried. She rubbed my back.
"She can't leave! She is my little sister and I need to protect her!" I said.
"I know Reneesme, I know. I want her back too everyone does. Even Max." she said.
"He is the one who made her leave. Again." I stated.
"Max had done a lot of damage on Amelia.But she would always love him. Until the very end of time." Mum said. That was true. Once you were in love with a person you always was.

The house was still silent and no one had returned. Max was in his room. The rest of the family hadn't caught sight of Amelia yet. I was still angry at Max for letting this happen. Yes I was part of the argument but I never said anything to drive her away. I just want her to come back. And I want everything to get sorted, however it may be! I just what her to be happy!
"What are the family going to do if they can't find her?" I asked.
"I don't know... they might stop searching." Mum said. I frowned. I knew that it was pointless searching if we had nowhere to look but now her scent is fresh so they should find her? Right?
I heard a vibration from mum's pocket. It was her phone. She took it out and held it against her ear.
"Have you found her?" Mum asked.
"Yes we have." Dad said from the other line.
***Edward's POV***
As soon as Amelia ran out of sight majority of the family had to same thought and did the same thing. We all apart from Bella, Rosalie, Ness and Max ran after her. Her thoughts were to kill herself or to run away and never come back. If we weren't quick enough what she thought would be true. I could just about hear her thoughts as we ran but I was losing them. She was fast, very fast. But luckily we had her scent to see where she was going. She was upset from earlier. What Max had said to her. His thoughts were trying to persuade him what he said was true but of course they weren't he was too angry to realise that. It also angered me to hear what he had said but he was young. He didn't have control over his anger yet. But he needed to control it, because he was destroying the thing that meant to him the most which was Amelia.
Maybe they shouldn't have been together so quickly and had gotten to know each other. But their feelings were strong so it wasn't really a choice for them.

Hours had gone and we still hadn't found her. We all spilt up. Jacob remained in wolf form in the forest with Esme. I was with Carlisle, Alice and Jasper and then Emmett. Amelia had a very good tactic which even as vampires got us confused and lead in circles. But she lead us all to one point. Her.
"Amelia don't do it." I said as we all approached her. She was feeling suicidal, she was by a cliff ready to jump. She turned and saw us. She froze us all in place.
"And if I do?" she asked quietly. The worst thing was that even if she didn't freeze us in place, she still would be able to jump off before one of us stops her.
"It won't work." Alice said. I looked at the vision is Alice's head. If Amelia had jumped off we would find her alive but unconscious. But the vision wasn't set to stone. Alice could only see glimpses of Amelia's future.
"If there is a will there is a way." Amelia replied in a broken voice. Her eyes were watering. It was sad as her father of anyone to see her like this. I wanted to take my daughter home and fix any problems that broke her apart.
It reminded me of Bella. When I left her, when I said I didn't love her. When I saw in Rosalie's mind that she committed suicide and died, I wanted to die too. If Amelia died right now, Max would want to die too.
In Amelia's mind was back when she was alone. Back when she wanted to kill herself. When her mother left her, her father. Amelia suffered from a lot. And we just want to take that suffering away.
"Amelia don't please." Jacob said. He had changed into his human form.
"What will happen if I did?" She asked.
"Amelia, we know you are upset but please don't do this. Don't think about Max, think about the rest of us. Bela and Edward! Ness she would be devestated! We can't have you gone! Max will come to his senses but at the moment just think how it would effect the whole family." Esme said. She considered that. She let go of her hold of us.But no one dared to move. She had a hand reaching out to us. She then looked down. Down waterfall she was on the edge of. Giving it a longing glance.
She hand was still reaching out towards us as if she wanted us to grab it and never let go. Her thoughts weren't clear through.
"I'm sorry." She whispered and then vanished. She had jumped. We all apart from Jaocb charged after her. We all jumped off after her, I tried to get to her first because I was the fastest. She was falling. Her face was filled with horror yet she stayed peaceful. She tehn closed her eyes for death's sweet kiss.
But of course it never came. I grabbed as her head hit a boulder causing her to bleed and fall unconscious. I cradled her protectively in my arms.
"I've got her." I yelled to the rest of the family. The nodded and then got back up to the top of the cliff. I jumped in the trees up to the rest of the family. They apart from me, Jacob and Carlisle held their breath.
"She's unconscious. We need to get back so I could observe her properly." Carlisle said.
"Oh Amelia, please don't do anything reckless now that we have got you. Max needs you, you need him. You two need each other." Esme said to her despite the fact she couldn't hear her.
"You should go call Bella she's worried. Ness too." Alice said. I got my phone out of my pocket as we ran back.
"Have you found her?" My Bella asked.
"Yes we have?" I replied.
"Is she alright?" She asked worriedly.
"She's unconscious she threw herself off a waterfall." I explained. She gasped and so did Ness. I explained to them on the way home what had happened. They were shocked. Ness started to feel guilty for playing a part in it. She felt guilt from arguing with Max. If she never argued, that wouldn't have happened. I assured her that it wasn't but she was too stubborn to look at it any other way. Like mother, like daughter.
We arrived home shortly and I lay her on her bed and left her with Carlisle as he looked at her condition. Max was in his room and he had his earphones plugged in loud so that he didn't hear anything. He tried not to think of anything. His anger facade was slowly breaking.
"How did this happen guys?" My Bella asked.
"Max. He should control his anger. Bella, Edward I am sorry about what he did. I should of made him less tempered." Rose said guiltily. Bella got up and hugged her.
"It's alright Rose. You didn't know. None of us did. Everyone makes mistakes, it's how you learn." Bella said reassuringly. Rose and Bella became close after Ness was born and even closer when Max was in the family.
"Yes, Rose you should of made him less tempered. A big mistake not to do so." Emmett said.
"Emmett!" Bella said.
"No he's right.But then again you are his father! What did you do?" Rose said. Emmett was then stuck for answers.
"Rose, calm down. Stop arguing everyone and tell me everything that had happened." Esme said. Rose calmed down and Emmett sighed in relief of being saved. Everyone looked at me.
"It all started on the first day, when Nicolas approached Amelia. Amelia stood up to him but in a polite matter. He felt jealous and anger from being rejected. But he thought it was about Max so he started to put notes in her locker. I didn't know that he was sending then because his thoughts didn't take my notice. Amelia didn't think of them either so I never knew. When Amelia told Max, he obviously got angry and fought with Nicolas. At the detention Nicolas was talking to Max saying that Amelia didn't love him. I only found that out today. Max didn't believe him. The next day Max was still angry at Nicolas and blew up at Amelia for her questioning his relationship with Cassidy. Cassidy is not a bad person. She didn't so anything. Nicolas feigned the letter. Today, Nicolas was talking to Amelia in the corridors and said that it was his plan to break them up. But it wasn't he just thought of the on the spot. During the last lesson, Aaron was anxious of Amelia. He just geniuely likes her and was upset that she was upset so he confronted Max. Max walked off not wanting to talk to Amelia. But she followed after him wanting to comfort him, but he blew up. Saying things that didn't mean a thing." I explained.
"Oh Amelia..." Ness said and covered her mouth with her hand.
"It was Nicolas behind this all along." Rose said.
"If only I could see." Alice said glumly lacking her usual bubbliness.
"I want to kill that kid. Messing with my family!" Emmett said.
"I guess we are going to have to wait until Max calms down and then we could tell him." I said. Everyone agreed.
"What is Max doing now?" Rose asked.
"Well he's trying not to think of anything and well blasting music to block off any sound." I said. She nodded and was secretly screwing at herself for letting this happen. I sighed.
"Rose, it's fine. Everything would blow over." I said. She then sighed and if on cue Carlisle came in.
"How is she Doc?" Jacob asked.
"Gee Jake you are making sound as if we are in a soap opera!" Emmett said. We all rolled our eyes at him. Only he could be himself on a time like this.
"Well, she is unconscious for sure and I have given her some morphine to ease the pain of the hit and to make her rest properly. And her forehead is bruised." He said.
"This so feels like old times." Emmett observed.
"For once I am going to agree with you." I said.
"Yep, I agree to just that Max was with us worrying about her like hell and not worring about admitting her love for her." Jasper interjected.
"I remember that..." Ness said thoughtfully.
"We all do! We are all vampires remember!" Emmett said.
"I'm not a vampire!" Jacob said.
"Of yeah, I forgot about you!" Emmett replied.
"What happened to being a vampire?" Ness asked. I chuckled at them. It felt like old times. Before Max and Amelia were here. But that doesn't mean I don't want them here. They make it better.
***Amelia's POV***
I wasn't sure how long I was unconscious for but I finally came out of it. All the memories flooded in my mind. My head started to pound. I sat up slowly and then slowly opened my eyes. They adjusted and I saw that. Mum and Dad had just entered the room. I was at home.
I glanced at the clock and saw that it was three in the morning.
"Amelia, sweetie how do you feel?" Mum asked. Then my emotions came rushing towards me. My heart ached and tears started to form in my eyes. Max. He was no longer mine. He didn't want me. Mum pulled me in for a hug.
"Amelia we know you are upset." Mum said and rubbed my back reassuringly.
"Amelia calm down we are here." Dad said and hugged us both. I still couldn't believe what had happened. It wasn't supposed to happen.
"Amelia, does your head hurt?" Mum asked trying to pull me from my thoughts. I nodded. I felt as if I couldn't speak.
"We'll get you some morphine for that and you need to rest some more." Dad said. Then as if on cue Grandpa came in with a syringe. He sat in front of me and injected it in. I didn't feel the stab of the needle because my body felt numb. I only felt stabs in my heart. The pain... it was unbearable.
"Amelia, be brave okay? I want you to sleep now and I'll see how you are in the morning." He said. I nodded. He left and I couldn't sleep. My parents stayed with me. Dad then took over and rocked me in his arms as he hummed my lullaby.
