Chapter 32: He Gives Me A Gift
"Munchkin, come on" Seth said knocking on my door.
"Seth, there's something called privacy. I need it" I said to him and looked at myself in the mirror.
We were all going on a group date to the drive in theater and I'm trying to look nice. It's not the first time but it's way nicer.
I'm wearing a grey dress that reached mid thigh. The dress was Victoria's but she let me borrow it. In fact almost everything I wear is hers.
Anyway, I'm bringing my own converse. I did my makeup and hair by YouTube tutorials and it looked good. Not wanting to brag but I'm awesome.
I opened my bedroom door in the middle of him knocking. "You really are annoying" I said to him but he didn't answer because he was just looking at me in awe. Told you.
"I really shouldn't leave the front door unlocked. You're just a pain" I continued saying since he wasn't saying anything.
I looked at him but he just grabbed my wrist and pulled me towards him. "You look absolutely breathtaking" He said with a smile before leaning down and wrapping my lips with his.
"Stop. You're going to ruin my lipstick" I whined to him with a small smirk.
He raised his eyebrows and grabbed my chin.
"Well if the lipstick is going to stop me from kissing you, then it's going to be a problem" He whispered to me and I leaned closer.
"I guess I'll just have to reapply then" I answered and grabbed the back of his neck before kissing him.
A few seconds later, he stepped away. "Come on, I got you something" He said grabbing my hand.
We walked downstairs where mom was arriving from her shift. I would've stayed with her but she just sleeps until the morning. Thankfully, tomorrow she had the day off so I'm going to stay in with her.
"Have a good time and don't come home too late. I'll know" She said with a wink as she drank her tea.
She always made it so it would be easier to sleep.
We talked for a few seconds before she sent us off.
I got on Seth's car and he immediately handed me a wrapped gift.
"I know it's not a special day or an anniversary or something like that but I saw this and I got it for you" He said to me.
I smiled at him before unwrapping the gift and immediately busted out laughing.
He gave me a box that read candy g-string.
He started laughing too before taking it off my hand. "I'm just kidding. We'll eat this later but this is the real gift" He said and pulled something from beside his seat.
I immediately knew what it was when I saw the leather book with the sonic screwdriver on the side. "Here is your new Doctor Who: Journal of Impossible Things, that comes with it's very own sonic screwdriver pen" He said once I took it.
"Thank you" I said as I started to flick through the pages.
I smiled before giving him an awkward hug in the car. At least he hadn't turned the engine on.
"Now, I don't have a gift for you" I whined before pressing my lips against his.
"You don't have to give me a gift. You're my gift" He said and finished with a wink.
"You're such a flirt. Actually this lines didn't start until we started dating" I said to him.
"Yeah well, I didn't want to make a fool of myself if you didn't like me" He answered and started the engine.
"Talking about that, why did you kiss me and then said that you thought I needed it? I mean, you messed me up for a few days" I said to him as we left the driveway.
"Yeah, I'm sorry about that. I just didn't want to take advantage of you like that. I mean you were crying and I really shouldn't have kissed you in the first place when we were in a cemetery talking about your family. But I'm sorry that I made it seem like I wasn't interested in you because that's bullshit but I guess I didn't imagine our first kiss would be like that" He explained to me.
"What did you imagine our first kiss would be like?" I asked him and he looked at me before staring back at the road.
"Well, I imagined us watching a movie or somewhere private just hanging out and we'll kiss. Nothing specific" He shrugged with a smile.
"I didn't actually imagine a first kiss with you or anything like that. I figured out I liked you only a few days before we kissed" I said to him and he reached for my hand before interlocking our fingers.
"Did you know that I had feelings for you?" Seth asked me as we reached a red light.
"I didn't know but Dylan was pretty sure you did" I laughed.
"Yeah well, it was pretty obvious" He scoffed jokingly and I just glared at him.
We listened to the radio the next few minutes of the car ride until we reached the drive in.
The others still didn't know about Dylan and Wesley but they were going to be together in the car 'as friends'. Yeah sure.
Although, Dylan told me that Wesley was planning on telling his parents about their relationship because he realized he wanted to be with Dylan and stop pretending. I was actually happy for them. Plus, as soon as he's out of the closet then I can be without this secret in my head.
The 2 cars of Gavin and Wesley were waiting outside the actual entrance. We all parked next to each other in front of the movie that was starting to play.
Seth got out of the car and went to buy us popcorn but returned with food in hand and his eyes wide open.
"What happened?" I asked him as soon as he got in the car.
"I just saw Gavin and Victoria kissing" He said and handed me the popcorn and drinks before wiping his eyes repeatedly.
I knew they were going to get together soon.
"Oh stop it, we kind of had a wedding in front of them" I said to him, drinking from my soda.
"Whatever, I guess I'm a secret magnet. First, Dylan and Wesley and now Gavin and Victoria. I mean come on" He said and started eating the popcorn as we watched the movie With Michael Caine. I think it was called Youth.
2 hours later and the movie was finished and we were all sitting on a table in Taco bell but i wasn't that hungry since we ate a whole g-string.
"Noelle, you should really know something about this guy" Gavin said placing his hand in Seth's shoulder.
I raised my eyebrows and nodded. Urging him to continue with my expressions since my mouth was full fries.
"You know as soon as you were paired up together, he came over to us and said this exact words 'I think I just met the love of my life' We thought he was exaggerating but then we saw how he was with you and we we're like 'Holy shit, maybe he's right' and then we went towa-" He was cut off by Seth punching him in the arm.
"I think that's enough story time" He said with his cheeks fully red and he didn't look at me.
Oh my god, he's embarrassed. Seth was actually embarrassed. Well I would be too.
He wasn't joking when he said he wanted to take me out since he met me. That's so cute.
I mean I didn't think like that when I saw him, but I do remember thinking he was hotter than David Tennant.
The rest of the table continued on another topic while I reached under the table and grabbed his hand in mine.
He Looked at me for a second and I sent him a wink before going back to my food.
A few minutes later, we all had gone back to our cars. Seth and I were silently walking Hand in hand until we got on the car.
"So" I cleared my throat. "The love of your life huh?" I asked him with a smile on my face.
He sighed and looked at me. "Yeah I'm sorry about that, it's okay if you think it's weird. It was just what I thought" He said as he pulled out of the parking spot.
"It's cute, Mr. Badboy had a crush on me" I said teasingly.
"Stop it" He groaned and immediately stopped in a red light.
I laughed and gave him a kiss on the cheek before putting my seat belt on.
I never thought I would be this happy after their deaths but I guess life is full of surprises.
"Some people are beautiful. Not in looks. Not in what they say. Just in what they are"
