♫ Falling For You ♫

Natsu's onyx eyes locked upon the basketball rim. His gaze focused carefully on the net, looking at the backboard, thinking as if it were teasing him. He dribbled the ball smoothly against his hands, as they bounced swiftly between his legs and around them, returning to his hands. His lips formed a gleeful smirk as he rushed towards the net and dribbled in an incredulous way.

Everyone on the bleachers watched him in awestruck, as he jumped upwards. His arms stretching outwards towards the basket. He then dunked the ball—in his hands—into the net, as he hung onto the rim, hearing everyone cheer for him in astonishment. He then let go of the rim, and landed easily on the gym floor.

His teammates gathered around him, tackling him with their cries of happiness and congrats. Natsu smiled as sweat trickled down his forehead as he looked over to the bleachers to see the only person he wanted to see—Lucy. She saluted him with a smile and applauded for him, making his heart warm in delight just seeing her angelic smile.

He then walked to the bleachers towards Lucy. Lucy then stepped down from the bleachers and simultaneously, they both took another step and was finally face to face with each other, their smiles still decorated on their lips.

"Nice job out there. I didn't know that practice was that fun." Lucy laughed as she looked behind Natsu to see his teammates play fighting in a childish way. She giggled when their coach hollered curses and insults at them, but they disobeyed his orders.

"I didn't know you'd show up to watch me practice. I guess you couldn't get myself out of your mind." Natsu teased as he wiggled his eyebrows suggestively. Lucy glared at him making him cower back in regret of his actions.

"I will kick you." She hissed as Natsu crouched down on the floor, hugging her legs, trying to prevent her from kicking him.

"Please don't, I love you." Natsu pleaded as he nuzzled his face on her kneecaps.

"Please don't do that, that is disgusting. I don't want your sweat on my beautiful legs." Lucy joked. Natsu got up and scoffed. He ruffled her hair, not even caring if he was going to get kicked, all he cared was that he was finally happy again.

"Okay, well I reek, so I'll meet you outside the gym entrance after I shower." Natsu winked.

"If you think I'm going to imagine your naked body in the shower while I'm waiting, then you fucking wish." Lucy laughed. Natsu pouted as Lucy sighed. Lucy kissed his pouted lips and smiled. Before Lucy could part away, Natsu quickly wrapped his arms around her waist and firmly grasped her waist, keeping her close to his body.

She melted within his warmth and affection as she draped her hands around his neck, deepening the kiss by pushing his head forward. They finally stopped, still not letting go of each other's touch, foreheads pressed together and noses nuzzling together. Both wearing a smile across their face, Natsu could feel his heart beat burst with joy, vice versa for Lucy.

"Wow, you really do reek." Lucy snorted playfully.

"Wow, way to ruin our moment." Natsu rolled his eyes and pecked her lips one last time. They bided their goodbyes as they parted their ways. Once Natsu walked into the boys' locker room, he was then bombarded with his friend Gray, who happened to throw a towel at his face.

"You and Lucy need to breakup. Fucking PDA." Gray mumbled his last sentence. Natsu heard him loud and clear, although, ignoring his comment. Natsu began to take off his jersey shirt as he stuffed it in his gym bag.

"So, have you and Lucy done the deed, yet?" Gray asked. Natsu, being the oblivious one, sent him a questioning look as Gray face palmed himself.

"I swear Natsu, you're the death of me." Gray muttered.

"Shut up, Stripper." Natsu blurted out. Gray then looked down to see that he was obviously showing what's he got. He got all flustered and quickly covered his Southern region in embarrassment. Apparently his stripping habit hasn't been getting any better.

"Mavis, why'd you gotta yell that out?!" Gray whispered shamefully. Natsu then walked over to a nearby shower, a towel wrapped around his private parts, knowing that he will not make the same mistake as his friend. He then turned on the shower, as cold water began to pour down on him, making him flinch and shiver.

"Sorry, not sorry. It's what you get for dissing my girlfriend like that." Natsu barked. He then placed shampoo and conditioner onto his hair, ruffling and spiking it.

"Well, too bad." Gray chuckled. Natsu then threw a soap bar at Gray's face out of no where, making Gray shriek in shock. After Natsu finished showering in a minute or two, he then walked to his gym locker, seeing his best friend on the ground, covering his eye.

"What the hell!?" Gray shouted, still covering his eye in agony. Natsu then busted out laughing, clenching his stomach in amusement.

"Wow, that was a lucky shot. I didn't know I was that accurate at shooting. I can't believe it actually hit your eye!" Natsu cackled evilly. Gray groaned in pain, wanting to beat up Natsu for doing that, however, he was too busy recovering from what just happened to him. After minutes of Gray recovering and Natsu dying down is laughter, they both finally were dressed and ready to take a leave.

"Oh shoot, forgot my basketball; no pun intended." Gray said. Natsu laughed at his comment and proceeded to the gym with him. Natsu then walked to the gym entrance as Gray looked under the bleachers for his ball.

"Hey, before you go. I need to ask you something." Gray echoed across the gym. Natsu turned around, holding the door open for himself.

"What?"

"Did you do the deed, yet?" Gray asked again. Natsu stared at him with a straight face, showing no sign of emotions. Before Natsu could leave without saying anything, he flipped Gray off with his middle finger and rushed out to find Lucy, resulting Gray yelling swear words at him. Natsu smirked in victory and sped walked his way to Lucy.

He looked around to find Lucy, but happened to see Lucy talking to Dustin. Natsu harshly grasped his shoulder strap of his gym bag, tugging tightly out of anger. His face scrunched in annoyance and pure rage. Lucy then turned to face Natsu as Lucy rushed towards him.

"Hey, I was wondering what was taking you so long. You were probably try to impress me by trying your best to smell good." Lucy chortled jokingly.

"What's he doing here?" Natsu growled, ignoring her comment. It was his top priority to kill Dustin, even if he went to prison for committing homicide.

"Natsu calm down, he just wanted to apologize from last Sunday." Lucy hushed.

"Lucy, I can't forgive him."

"And why not?"

"He mocked my dead parents and he thought it was comical to him. You think I could forgive someone like that?" Natsu spat at Dustin who smirked devilishly at him, with Lucy not noticing.

"Natsu, I understand, but he didn't know that. How was he supposed to know?" Lucy said as she placed a hand on his shoulder to comfort his rage. Natsu sighed in defeat, knowing that Lucy had a point. But either way, Natsu still didn't like Dustin.

"Fine. I'll forgive him, however, there's nothing stopping me from hating him." Natsu deadpanned. Lucy rolled her eyes and just went with it. Dustin then walked towards them, clearing his throat as Natsu sent him a death glare, as if his eyes were shooting daggers into his eyes. Dustin gulped nervously and nervously smiled.

"So, Lucy. Want to head over to practice with me?" Dustin smirked. Lucy smiled, looking at Natsu as if she just realized something.

"Of course," Lucy said making Natsu widened his eyes in shock and anger, "And I'm dragging my idiotic boyfriend with us." Lucy giggled cutely as she locked arms with Natsu's making him smile slightly. Dustin frowned in disappointment but shrugged it off. The three then headed towards the soccer field as Natsu lazily followed alongside.

"Seriously, Luce. Why did you have to accept? We could've just left him alone and go make out in the library." Natsu pouted. Lucy whacked his head as she covered his mouth with a blushing face of embarrassment.

"Don't say that!" Lucy whisper-yelled, while Natsu's laughs were muffled from her palm. Natsu then licked her palm making her bring her hand back in disgust as she wiped his saliva on his arm.

"Natsu!" She shrieked as Natsu laughed his butt off, holding his stomach from the hard laughs. Lucy still held her hand up, staring at her hand, cringing in disgust.

"Why haven't I kicked you, yet?" Lucy mumbled to herself.

"Because you love me." Natsu cooed as he hugged her waist. Lucy couldn't help but smile and ruffle his unbelievably soft spiky hair.

"Would you two stop flirting?" Dustin called from afar.

"Shut up." Both of them said in unison.

"Why did you drag me along anyways?" Natsu scoffed.

"Because we made a deal."

"We did?"

"Yeah. Remember? It was when you took me out to play basketball at the park. I said if I played basketball, I would teach you to play soccer in return." Lucy snickered as Natsu stiffened his back in fright.

"Wait, you're not going to try to get me back by kicking a ball at me?" Natsu whined.

"Maybe." Lucy sneered. Dustin stifled a laugh but Natsu could hear him clearly. Natsu narrowed his eyes at him as he mentally screamed curses behind his back in his mind. They finally made it to the soccer field with a bunch of people kicking, dribbling, and balancing a bunch of soccer balls. He watched in awe to see a boy kick a ball into a goalie as everyone cheered for him.

"That's our team captain for the boys soccer team, Richard." Dustin pointed out as Natsu watched Richard high five his teammates. Richard turned to the three and waved at them. Dustin waved back as Lucy flipped him off with her middle finger, averting eye contact with Richard. Richard scrunched his face in confusion as did Natsu.

"I'm not even going to ask." Natsu laughed as Lucy smiled cheekily at his comment.

"Okay, well I'm going to get dressed in my uniform. You can wait for me at the bench, Natsu." Lucy pointed at a bench with a giant orange cylinder cooler. He nodded and sat down on the bench, watching the soccer players kick the balls to each other. He noticed that the girls soccer team were also out in the field practicing along with the boys.

Natsu then thought to himself who the team captain of the soccer team was. Suddenly, a girl sat down next to Natsu on the bench, reaching to grab a plastic cup to pour some water from the cooler. Natsu noticed her stares making him shift in uncomfortableness. The girl then sat back down next to Natsu and gulped down the water.

"Hey, Natsu." The girl spoke. Natsu glanced at her with his peripheral vision then stared back down at the grass.

"Do I know you?" Natsu responded rudely. The girl didn't mind his rudeness but continued to talk.

"Yeah you do. My name's Melissa. You helped me carry my textbooks to my classroom." She blushed. Natsu rolled his eyes, hoping she didn't notice his actions. Honestly, he forgot about how flirtatious he was to other girls before he met Lucy. Now that he's in a relationship, he's been more caught up with Lucy then trying to impress girls.

"Don't remember." He said, hoping she'd go away, but she wouldn't budge.

"Of course you don't. But I was hoping you would." Melissa fiddled with her hair. Natsu really just wanted Lucy to come fly out of no where and save his day, but no, he had to be stuck with Dustin and Melissa.

"Too bad." Natsu shrugged as he looked over to take a closer look at Melissa and to see that she had long hazel hair, tied up in a ponytail. She was wearing a different color jersey than the other girls.

"Lately you've been distant." Melissa said changing the subject.

"Okay, so? Why does it matter to you?" Natsu asked.

"Because you're always flirting with all the girls, but now you haven't anymore." Melissa explained. Natsu didn't know if it was okay to tell her he was in a relationship with Lucy, but it was the only way he could interpret his words of "backing off." In queue, Lucy came out of the girls' locker room.

Her hair perfectly tied up in a high ponytail, her bangs hanging out. Her blonde hair glistened under the sun, as her hair swayed slowly when she tightened her hair in her ponytail. Her red jersey hugging her curves, her black gym shorts showing off her porcelain thighs and knees. Her calves were covered by her soccer black socks along with her cleats, as she walked towards Natsu with a beautiful smile printed on her face.

Natsu stood up smiling in return as he couldn't help but be astonished by her appearance. He then turned around to see Melissa stare at Lucy in jealousy as Natsu smirked cockily.

"Yeah, because I'm taken by this hottie." He said pointing at Lucy who was kicking a ball up in the air and catching it with her hands, placing it beside her left hip. Natsu discarded his hoodie, showing off his muscular arms as he winked at Melissa and trotted off to Lucy who was waiting for his approach. He then stood by Lucy, who was eyeing Melissa and Natsu suspiciously.

"Why were you talking to my team captain?" Lucy asked, narrowing her eyes in curiosity. Natsu then realized why her jersey shirt was a different color.

"We were actually talking about how she was concerned why I haven't been flirtatious lately. Not that I cared." He shrugged.

"And why don't you care?" She asked, then slammed the ball on the grass with her hand, eyeing it so that it would line up with the goalie.

"Because I'm in love with the most beautiful girl named Lucy Heartfilia." He smirked. Lucy laughed as she lightly smacked his shoulder.

"I'm surprised the girls still fawn over you."

"Are you trying to say I'm not attractive?"

"I'm trying to say that I can't believe I'm in love with an attractive playboy." Lucy winked making Natsu blush madly. She then went behind his back and pushed him towards the ball, aligning him perfectly towards the goalie.

"Okay, now in order to have better accuracy, you have to eye the ball and the net in a perfect angle." She explained as they bent down, closing one eye, looking carefully at the ball and the net. Natsu nodded as Lucy patted his back.

"Now you give it a go." Lucy smiled. Natsu quirked his head to the side in confusion but what she meant.

"Kick it." She said simply. He then looked down at the ball and looked back up at the net. He took a step back and exhaled a deep breath. Then he ran towards the ball and kicked the ball with all his might. Lucy watched in awe as the ball flew towards the net, however, flew over the net as Lucy frowned in disappointment.

"Hey, I tried, okay?" Natsu crossed his arms angrily.

"Watch from the master." Lucy pushed him aside, flipping her ponytail in ease. She then prepped herself as she boosted rapidly towards the ball, kicking it with much force as it went perfectly straight into the goalie net. It was so fast that he wasn't able to comprehend how she did that.

"See, easy." She dusted her shoulder and smirked at Natsu who gaped his mouth in amazement.

"Damn." Was all Natsu said.

"Damn straight." Lucy responded. She then ran to get her ball and kicked it lightly towards Natsu. Lucy then stood by the goalie and crossed her arms.

"Try focusing your anger on the ball." She hollered across the field. Natsu suddenly knew how to do that. His mind went to images of him beating Dustin to a pulp making him smile in triumphant. He then stepped back again and eyed the ball and the net carefully. Immediately, he rushed forward, kicking the ball, harder than last time, as it flew towards right into the net.

Lucy sneered at his kick and applauded for him. Natsu playfully bowed to her as she laughed at his gesture. She then picked up her ball and walked towards Natsu.

"See, kicking a ball into a net isn't that hard." She finalized.

"Thank you for teaching me, Sensei Luce." He bowed again. Lucy patted his head and nodded at the formality.

"You're welcome, babe." She laughed at his nickname as he blushed a bright red. Melissa then walked towards Natsu, ignoring Lucy's glares she was sending her. Melissa then placed her hands on his biceps, squeezing them lightly as Natsu had no expression.

"Nice kick out there. You should totally practice with me sometime." Melissa cooed seductively as she pressed her breasts against his arm. He then yanked his arm away and walked towards Lucy, standing aside her.

"Sorry, Melissa. I already told you, I'm taken. Too bad you were too late, because I already fell in love with Lucy, and nothing can change that."
