Recreation
Once Jade had finished giving Sam a tour of South Shields, the two of them were walking around the city thinking of something to do. While Jade held his hand and leaned into his side, Sam looked down at her guiltily.
He hated himself for treating her so coldly when they first met. For being annoyed and wanting everything to be over in less than a second. Jade was letting herself fall in love with him, and he was just waiting for the chance to break her.
Jade looked up and smiled at him, making his smile sadly back at her.
"Everything alright Sam?" She asks as she stops walking, rubbing his hand. "You look upset?"
He slowly nods, trying to think of an answer. "Yeah, I'm just thinking about our first dates."
She raises an eyebrow and frowns. "Why would that make you upset?"
"I'm not upset." He lies. "I just think that I didn't make you as happy as I could've made you. As happy as you wanted to be. I know I was pretty distant, and you had a few doubts on how I feel."
Jade shakes her head and lightly rubs his cheek. "I was happy, Sam. I was more than happy. And as for the doubts, those were just temporary. I know how you feel, any doubts I ever had are gone."
Sam leans down and quickly pecks her forehead, pulling her into his arms. He sighs and rubs her back, wishing he actually had feelings for her then. Sam slowly pulls away and takes both of her hands. "Well apart from the doubts and the happiness, I was still distant. I was pretty nervous and didn't really know what I was doing."
"You can't change that." She laughs. "It's okay Sam, you're not distant now."
"No, but I want to make up for it."
"And how do you plan on doing that?"
"By recreating some of our dates." He smiles.
"Recreating them?" She asks. "Sam, our dates were in London. We're in South Shields."
"That doesn't mean we can't have them here. Is there an ice-rink here?"
"Not nearby. But there is a rollerskating place just a few blocks away. Would that be alright?"
"It's fine." He says, kissing her nose.
Jade giggles and locks her arms around his neck. "You're amazing Sam Craske."
"I know." He smirks.
She laughs and pecks his lips, pulling back and taking his hand as she guides him to the large building. "I thought you said you would never skate again?"
He shrugs and swings their hands. "Roller skating is different from ice skating, with this you get the option of either the single line on wheels, or the doubles."
"The doubles?" She chuckles. "The ones that children use to learn how to use the singles? I didn't know I was dating a child." She teases, messing with his hair.
He frowns at her and stops walking. "Alright, we're doing a different date. How about the first one? You know, when you got poisoned?" He smirks.
Jade stops laughing and glares at him. "Not funny."
He chuckles and places his hand on her back. "Now are you going to tease me, or are you going to get sick again?"
She frowns and continues walking inside. "There's no guarantee I would get sick again, it was just the steak. From a different place in a different city." She states. "That was a horrible first date. We were so quiet and nervous, barely spoke a word, I nearly puked and fell asleep in your car. Can we go out for dinner later and pretend it's our first?"
"So you do want to recreate that date, as well?" He asks, making Jade nod. "Sure, love. Anything you like." He kiss her temple and pulls her close to his side as they near the counter to get skates. "Just don't get sick."
"I'll try my best." She smiles. "So if we're recreating this, does that mean we'll be having a double date with Mitchell and Perri?"
Sam laughs and shakes his head. "No, they weren't originally supposed to be in the actual date. But speaking of double dates, when are we going on one?"
She stops and looks up at him curiously. "Who with?"
"Jordan and Jesy."
Jade widens her eyes. "They're dating now?!"
"Yeah, almost a week now? Didn't you know?"
"No! I am definitely going to be having a talk with her later."
Sam chuckles and pats his back. "Well I guess we can discuss all of that another time."

After two hours of skating, Jade and Sam were sitting on a bench taking their skates off. While Jade was tying her shoelaces, Sam placed a hand on her knee and made her look up and smile at him.
"Jade, if we're doing this date again, I want to do it right." He stands up and kneels down in front of her. "Will you please do me the honor of being my girlfriend?"
She laughs and rubs his shoulders. "You're such a weirdo. C'mon, let's put the skates up." She says as she stands up and turns around.
"Wait, is that a no?!" He calls, chasing after her.
Jade rolls her eyes and takes his hand, raising it to her lips. "You don't have to ask, love, the answer is always yes."
He smiles and kisses her temple. "Excellent." He wraps both his arms around her waist and pulls Jade into his hold.
Jade turns around in his arms and leans in to kiss him, but a loud ringing prevents that.
"Sorry." Sam chuckles, pulling his phone out of his pocket. He frowns at the text he got from Jordan. "Hey, as much as I would love to stay here and be with you, I need to get back to Essex. Something's up."
"Is something wrong?"
"Maybe."
"You can't stay just a little longer?" Jade asks sadly.
"Long enough to take you home." He sighs. "I'll make the rest of this week up to you, I promise."

Hours later, Sam had finally gotten back to Danceworks in Essex and saw Jordan outside on the phone. Sam walked over to him and Jordan almost immediately hung up.
"Pictures of you and Jade from earlier are online, the boys saw them. They're really starting to believe that you like her. Are you finally going to come clean and admit the truth?"
Sam shakes his head. "No. I don't want the teasing. And with me forgiving Jade for the cheating rumors, it's just going to make them worse."
"So you're still going to lie?" Jordan frowns.
"I have to. At least for a little longer, I'll tell them when I'm ready."
Jordan sighs and runs a hand through his hair. "You can't let a lie pile on. They need to know the truth soon."
"I know."
The two boys walked inside and into Diversity's studio where the other six boys were messing about. Ike was the first to notice Sam come in and quickly made his way over.
"Went to South Shields, did you?" He smirks. "Are you sure you hate her as much as you claim?"
Warren comes to join the conversation and raises an eyebrow. "I gave you the option if getting out early if she cheated. She did, you could've been free."
"I know." Sam says, faking the once real hatred. "I only decided to go for Jordan."
"Jordan?" They ask.
Jordan himself looks at the boy confused, curious as to how he'll put him in this.
"Jordan just started dating Jesy, and he thought that if I accused his girlfriend's mate of cheating, Jesy would be upset."
Jordan bites his lip as he decides to play along. "Jesy would be too occupied with helping Jade, and it would hurt Jade to see that her sister was happy with her ex's best friend. So for sake of my relationship with Jesy, I asked Sam to just keep Jade happy a little longer."
"Oh." Warren says.
Jordan nods and pats Sam's shoulder. "He's just being a good mate."
"Yeah." Sam mumbles.
Warren and Ike walk away and Sam looks up at Jordan thankfully. "Thanks for going along with it."
"Yeah. But you have to tell them soon. Just get it over with. The teasing may not even last long."
Sam nods in agreement. "Well I don't want to deal with it now."
