Life update I've graduated with a film and tv degree (lol) so coming back here, to this still haunts me.
Will they get rid of the book? Who knows?

"bye" I wave to my mum.
"be safe I'll see you in a month" she kisses Luke and waves before she heads to board her plane.
A wave of heavy rocks dropped from my shoulders. As the doors close and we don't see her no longer. I catch luke in the reflection on the door.
"are you good?" Luke questions.
"just another business trip" I roll my eyes. I'm so glad she left to be honest. If you had her as a mother you would too.
"let's go" Luke smiles as we head out the airport.
My parents divorced because of long distance relationship and cheating. Luke was a part time pool cleaner for us, so him and my mum just clicked. Well fucked. Sorry. It's gross, I know.
My mum was 47 this year and Luke had turned 25. Luke is just her toy, but he is planning to tie the knot with her. Which I'm trying to stop somehow. Because I love him. But after what happened with her last boyfriend, she has forbid any new men of hers to come near me. Except Luke did.
He knew about the rule and respected her. Surprisingly she just let it slide with him. She just must've known he would never hurt a fly.
"want to go grab something to eat?" he turns on the ignition.
"sure I'm starving" I say laying back on the passenger seat.
I'm a senior so is my friend, Mia, we wish we were older. I think everyone in highschool sometimes does. No parents. No rules. Just older men.
My mums last proper relationship was a guy she met working overseas. He happened to come move to Australia for her. Which she invited him to our house.
However I couldn't help myself he was gorgeous. She caught us flirting and then later caught us on the couch together.
My phone started ringing.
"Yeah" I turn down the music on the stereo.
"Hello!" Mia shouts.
"fucking hell what" I take a deep breath out.
"you kissed Luke yet?" she laughs.
"it's only been like ten minutes since she left, chill" this time Luke looked over at me.
"I bet you're dying right now" I sense her smirking though the phone.
I have had a lot of crushes on older men. I find them a bit more mature.
For example, just to name one, full house uncle Jessie, John fucking Stamos.
"Hanging up now" I mutter trying to not make it so obvious.
"oh come on-" she says adorably.
"Friend?" Luke laughs.
"you bet" I sigh turning up the air conditioning.

"thank you for that" I sigh as I finish my burger.
"you're welcome" he smiles, causing me to smile.
"I've missed eating good food without my mum lecturing me about what they do to the animals" I sip on my Pepsi.
"yeah seems like you really miss it" he wipes his mouth with his tissue.
"can we get ice cream afterwards?" I suggested adjusting my posture.
"i can't i'm meeting up with friends later" he says getting up.
"bummer" I sigh getting up as well.
We both head out and back into the car.
"can I drive?" I look over at him.
Luke looks over to me. "You wanna drive?" Then looks back onto the road.
"Yes, please" I nod happily.
Luke looks at me again and raised his eyebrow as he pulls over.
"it's all yours" he takes the keys out and passes them over. He gave me a cheeky smile and smiled back. Can you be anymore cute.
Luke and I safely arrived back home. It was pretty quiet but a comfortable drive. I loved being with him. Just me and him.
"what do you want for dinner? anything you like" Luke asked as we got in our house.
"Might sound basic but macaroni and cheese?" I smiled.
"You haven't had mac and cheese before?" Luke raised an eyebrow.
"mum hates cheese....and anything gluten, you should know that" I shrug picking on my nails.
"Yeah, remind me later to go out and buy some ingredients" He says seriously.
"Yeah" I nod walking over to the couch and plopping down.
Luke wondered away and into the guest bedroom. Him and mum haven't even moved in together. Yet he is gonna ask her to marry him. As if.
Whenever Luke is around he goes home, but now since she put him in charge of me, I think this is the first time he is staying at our place.
My room was two rooms down from his, I can't think about it too much otherwise I get overwhelmed. So I decided to do some school work to help me concentrate.
"Hey Alison" Luke yells.
"What" I reply.
"Have you seen my sky blue hoodie?" He asks.
Shit. I've got it.
I looked at the jumper hung on my clothes rack. "Uhm"
I hear thuds walking towards my way.
"you know the ones with stripes on it" he waits at by my door frame.
"Uh, Luke why would I have it, you don't even live here" I lie sweetly.
His face saddens and leaves my door frame.
Luke left quickly after he was running around finding another jumper.
Flashback*
I walked down the stairs wearing Luke's sweatshirt. Him and mum were in the kitchen making dinner.
"Hey guys, need any help" knowing Luke will see me in his sweatshirt.
Luke looks at me and his eyes linger on my sweatshirt. My mum turns around, "ask him, unless you want juice" she cuts up her fruit. "And what are you wearing, is that adams, I swear he wears the most ridiculous things" she looks at the sweatshirt.
"I like it mother" I twirl looking at Luke and back at her "and so should you" I smirk.
She laughs. I look at Luke and he chuckles. "It's cute" he comments. "She should just keep it" he winks at me.
I blush a little and walk over to the TV. I hear my mum leave for work and Luke walking over to me, "You know that's my favourite sweatshirt" he sits beside me.
I take it off and reveal my bralette, "it looks better on me anyways" I smile and hand it to him.
Luke smiles as his eyes flicker down on my body. I smirk and meet his eyes.
"I should get going" he gets up and places the sweatshirt across his shoulder.
"You gonna be okay by yourself?" He asks.
I get up. "I can entertain myself" I smile at him.
"Have fun" he chuckles and walks out.
