You were sitting on the bus while listening to your favourite playlist. Tress and buildings passing by. However, you were actually worried inside. You were on your way to your meeting location to meet Mingyu but you were late.
-Flashback-
"Okay. Class, I'm giving you guys this one chance to pull your grades up," the teacher sighed, "since most of you have low grades for geography, then I will put you guys into pairs and assigned you to do a geographical investigation. Since this is an extra assignment, you guys will be doing this in your own free time. Make sure you use this opportunity wisely."
The teacher started to mention the pairings. You were actually okay with any student as you were friendly with everyone. At the end, your pair was Minhyuk. You were also close with Minhyuk. He was friendly, loud, kinda narcissistic, and handsome yet cute.
"Teacher!"
Everyone turned to the source of the sound and it was Mihyun, a girl with a perfect gummy smile.
"Uh.. Actually.. Mingyu and I are weak for geography while Minhyuk and (y/n) are top scorers. Don't you think it would be fair if one of them swap with Mingyu, so it would be weaker one with the strong one. I think it would help..."
While Mihyun was explaining, you noticed Mingyu was nervous. He would clenched his fist and unclenched it. Bit and licked his lip. Looked around the classroom. Tapped his feet on the floor. You wondered why.
"Oh, right..." The teacher nodded, "Okay. Mingyu go with (y/n) and Minhyuk go with Mihyun."
-end of flashback-
You panted, "Mingyu! I'm sorry, I'm late. You must have wai-"
"(y/n)... Why are you running anyways? Your hair is kinda messy now..." Mingyu chuckled, "you ARE late but I don't mind, it's okay as long as you're safe..."
"But.. I was the one who asked you to go out to do this assignment but at the end I'm the one who is late..."
"That's not a problem... I woke up early, even one hour before my alarm ring. I couldn't sleep. "
"Ah... Fine, whatever you say. I'll just treat you later on... Let's just go now..." You combed your hair with your fingers.
The both of you then proceeded to the location that you would do your assignment. It was an investigation on a park. The both of you would have to count the number of people passing by, the cyclists and such.
After spending one and a half hour there, you went to a playground which was not far from the park. The playground was surprisingly empty. You told Mingyu to wait for you there and you left to buy ice cream. Mingyu was sitting on one of the swings, so you passed him the ice cream as you sat on the swing next to him.
"Mingyu, you do know that I'm close with everyone, right..."
"Y-yes..."
"But every time I talked to you, you would just nod or shake your head then leave.. Do you dislike me? You seemed nervous too..." You pouted.
"I... No, I d-don't dislike you.."
You moved closer, making the swing moved closer to Mingyu's. Mingyu became nervous again and he just stared at you. You stared back at him.
"Then do you like me...?" You whispered.
Mingyu bit his lip. He slowly moved to the other side, making the swing move further away from you just a bit.
You sighed, "I'm just trying to make everyone like me, as friends, but I think I need more effort when it comes to you..."
Mingyu actually wanted to say something but nothing came out from his mouth. He was too nervous. It was too late though, you had asked him to end the day then.
"Ah.. At least, let me walked you back home..." Mingyu scratched his head.
You nodded with a smile as a reply, agreeing with Mingyu.
As you reached your house, you bid goodbye to Mingyu. However, Mingyu just looked down and did not say anything. You smiled sadly and turned around, reaching for the gate.
"(y/n)..."
You turned around again and Mingyu was looking at you.
"The reason why I woke up early is you."
"I couldn't sleep last night because I was too excited for this day. To see you. Go out with you, just the two of us."
Mingyu stepped closer.
"I dreamt of you last night. Cheesy but it's the truth."
"I don't know but it took me one hour ten minutes to be satisfied with my looks. It's stupid really.. Usually I would just take ten minutes till twenty minutes to get ready. Why with the additional one hour? You. I want to look good in front of you."
One step closer.
"You noticed my nervousness... Why am I nervous? Again, you. I liked girls before but I never liked them as much as I like you. That's why I'm so nervous," Mingyu chuckled.
"I hate it when this day have to end. Why must time fly so fast when we're having fun..?"
Another step closer.
"Whenever I see you, my heart feels like a flower blooming."
"All these times... When I'm near you, my body is itching and beating. But I've been holding back.."
You just looked at Mingyu and stayed silent. You were confused. When Mingyu stepped closer, you would step backwards once. At the end, your back was touching the gate. (Like what Joshua did, he stepped closer, the girl stepped backwards.)
Mingyu pulled you into a hug, "My body is itching and crying for a hug with you.."
After a few seconds, you wanted to hugged him back but he pulled away. His hands on your shoulder. He leaned closer to your face.
"And my body and lips are begging for your kiss.." Mingyu whispered.
With that, Mingyu crashed his lips to yours. You smiled and felt happy. His actions proved that he did not dislike you. His actions explained why he was nervous all these times. His actions showed you that he had the same feelings towards you. You slowly responded to the kiss and Mingyu pulled you closer by the waist, holding it tighter.
After a few seconds, Mingyu broke the kiss and let his lips linger on yours. His eyes staring at you made your legs into jelly.
Mingyu smirked, "Sorry for being selfish. Tomorrow. Same time. Let's have another date not study date. I'll pick you up here..."
You smiled and nodded, making Mingyu grinned and messed your hair.
"Goodnight. Thank you for today, the ice cream and especially your lips. It was VERY NICE."
You blushed and just shook your head. Mingyu then gave you another kiss on the forehead.
"See you tomorrow, Girlfriend."
Girlfriend. He never actually asked you to be his Girlfriend. But he showed that he liked you right? And the fact that you kissed him back and you blushed and showed him the impact of him, was quite obvious that you liked him too, which means Mingyu knew it even without you giving a proper confession to him. You smiled at the thought of Mingyu being your boyfriend and entered your house. It felt like a dream but luckily, it was actually reality <3
