It was 8:30 am , i was woken up by a loud slam of my bedroom door , it was a red headed avox who slammed the door , there must be something wrong , "If everything alright? , you okay need any help?" i said looking at the red headed girl but no response "come on tell me , dont me shy" , theres a motion at someone opeing the door , "Hello darling" my dad said , "You may be dismissed" as he nodded at the avox , she sets a bowl of porridge and yougurt on the table and leaves the room. "Dad , how comes she couldnt talk to me?" , " Amanda , you shouldnt really be talking to the Avox's" , "How comes?" , "Well , when the hunger game returned and snow rising from the dead once again he promised he will torture every single avox alive" , " So what did he do to her?" i slurp on my porridge soon to be my last meal. "Well they cut off her tounge , thats why she did not respond to you." , "Oh right - i get" , "Come on dear eat all you can and we need to launch you , mark , prim and Aloe into the arena" , "Aloe! , whys my brother coming!" , "It was short notice sorry dear but you have to save your brother" my dad gets up adjusting his artificial leg and walked off. Wheres mark? , i swear he was in my bed?!.
I finish off my porridge and yougurt and left it on the beside table for them to take. My prep team soon arrive in my room , "Hello , dear" as the unison voice came from the 4 of them. "hello guys" i replied with a laugh at their werid unison. "We'll miss you alot , just know we will be here for you every step of the way when you need it sweetheart" Cinna started slowly to burst in his tears as his golden eyeliner vanishes away with tears. "Thanks , Cinna i will be back for sure , i will make this year have 4 victors and its going to be district 12" i said determinly as i was pulled out of bed and dressed in a grey and black wet jumpsit , my hair was braided like how my mum used to have hers. "Make us proud" Octica said as she lead me towards to door , "Wait!" I ran back in and took the mockingjay pin and the note Mark gave me , i attached the pin to my jumpsuit and the note on the inside of my jumpsuit , "Thanks for everything you done for me so far , i'll miss you and i love what you did" I said my final words to them and hugged each one of them and left to join the others.
"Are you ready sweetie" My dad rubbed my shoulder as a took a deep breath and nodded as i hugged him for the final time , "Im ready shoot me up to the arena" i see Mark walking in , in the exact same jumpsuit , he sees me in sight and blows a kiss i giggle as i prepare to step on the pod that shoots me up to the arena , i could see my little brother Aloe opposite me he was scared i can tell , but as soon as i got all my weapons im running for my team and guiding them away we all my power. I look over my shoulder to see Mark standing 2 pod away from me and Aunt Prim on the otherside , i turn around and send a little message to both signaling to meet me when they get to in and collected their stuff. I search for Aloe but hes already gone. "Amanda Mellark can you please stand on your pod your next to go up , i turn around for the last time i mouthed 'Tell mum i'll be fine and back home in no time' to my dad as he gave me a firm thumbs up as i stood on the pod a cylinder came down to prevent me from escaping and im lifted up to the arena soon followed by everyone else.
There i stood , in the middle of the sea still on my pod which is held up by a giant rock boulder. i scan the arena , then to find some sort of grand canyon which was orange i see the cornoucia up ahead , guess thats we're collecting our stuff. About 5 or so minute later all 28 tributes were standing on the pod in the arena , i search for my little brother i see him closer to land but he bound to be killed any time when he arrives. "AMANDA!" I hear my name being called as i look around for who called me "Over here!" Behind me Mark was waving his arms in the air , he mouthes ' meet me , prim and your brother behind the cornoucia' i nodded and turned back around and all the tributes put the game faces on. "Are you ready for the 84th games tributes?" the voice appears out of no where as our faces appear in the sky one by one , "Well , let the games begin" theres a sound of a fire , i jump in the water and swim as fast as a turpedo would catching up with my brother who was struggling , "Aloe , grab on to me waist i'll take you in and stay close to me!" I swim closer to him as he grabs on to my waist i see Mark few paces ahead followed by aunt prim. "Just kick your legs to speed the swimming proccess" i yell at my brother as he kicks as fast as i did.
We reach the land i grabbed hold of my brothers hand and run straight for the golden bow and arrow up ahead , while running i picked up some knives and a trident for Aloe. I attached 4 knives to my belt and secured 3 to Aloe and ran to the arrows. Aloe had his trident and 3 knives and me with a bow and arrow followed by 4 knives. I see district 4 girl running towards my bow and a unstrap a knife and throw it directly at her chest as she collapses and dies. I grab hold of the strap that holds the arrows and swung it over my shoulder and grabbed the bow and went to the meeting place Aloe was still with me.
Back at the weapon station , "PRIM! GET THEM MEDICINES OVER THERE!" Mark yelled as he ran for the cross bow and the razors also picking up another bow and arrow near him incase something happened to mine i doubt that "MARK! GOT THEM!" Aunt prim yelled back "LOOK BEHIND YOU!!" Prim swung back wards kicking district 8 boy in the private and stabbed him with the nearest knife. "Come on lets go!" Mark ran up to Prim and pulled her away and took her to the meeting place as we agreed before the jump in the sea.
Mark and Aunt Prim arrive as me and Aloe were sitting on the floor with a wild turkey in our hands. "Already you killed an animal?" Mark said surprised looking at me "What? you jealous" I laughed at his comment , "Give me some!" he joked back "We're saving this turkey , we're putting it in Aloe's backpack he picked up with the other stuff inside." , "Whys aloe here?" Aunt Prim asked as soon as she stop huffing and puffing. "Dad said it was a short notice and a replacement for our lost 4th tribute" i said trying to remind her about Uncle Vicky's death. "Well atleast we have a quad team" she answered with relief. "So what have we all got?" Mark asked , "Me and Aloe had 7 knives till i threw one leaving us with 3 each , Aloe with his trident" , and me with the bow and arrow" , "Great , Well me and Prim have , the medicine bag , couple more knives , razors , cross bow and another bow and arrow incase something happened to yours" Mark said counting all our stuff. "Thanks Mark" I walked over and kissed him as a thank you. His face went red. "Lets go find somewhere more safe to camp" Aloe said stuffing the turkey into his bag and pulled me into the ajar rocks followed by the other 2.
10 cannon fires blow as it tell us that we were already down to 14. The faces show in the sky as the atheme plays. By the end of the anthem we were inside a cave unpacking our stuff and shielding the enterance. We should be safe in here i hope ........
