This chapter will be mostly of Blakes point of view.
I started writing this story with no idea in mind, so please be patient if anything let me know if there are errors. I'm just writing as it flows, ya know? I will use dates, but this is a fanfic so don't assume the dates are correct. Enjoy Shefani Fam 😘

Dragging the bags of fresh dirt, I grunted throwing them on the grass to the side. Zuma was busy playing in the digged up dirt, trying to find worms. These two past days were so tiring, digging and digging. I decided to surprise Gwen tomorrow when she gets home with flowers planted in the yard. Thanks to the help of the boys, they gave me an even better idea. We decided to dig up the area at the front of the driveway and plant sunflowers. By the mailbox and the other side of the driveway. They even helped me pick out the flowers, with their stories of Gwen, reading my mind about the flowers. But they also didn't know that I had a story of my own.

I stuffed my hands in my pockets, waiting for Gwen to answer the door, which was locked. And i completely understand, since it is our first date officially. Last night we shared a very close moment, and when I was leaving, Gwen came in for a hug and gave me a kiss on the cheek but I had turned my head and placed a kiss on her lips. It was sparks flying everywhere. We decided to go slow, even after that make out session that followed afterwards. So I told her I'd pick her up the next day for dinner. I came home last night and only then did I realize that it was international kissing day. I sent her a text that she didn't reply to until morning with some kissing emojis. Which made me even more nervous and flustered. I mean I'm Blake Shelton, some ol country guy that is younger than Gwen, but looks otherwise. And I'm no one compared to her. Yet I have these feelings for the past few weeks, when me and Gwen would hang out. I was always there for her during the climax of her marriage with the divorce, and we just bonded. I knew she had feelings for me too, with the flirting at The Voice and the look in her eyes. I was nervous with the kiss last night, but once it happened it all went away. I'm excited what this night is going to bring if she opens the door. It's really breezy outside, and I left my sweater at home. I was just about to pull my phone out and call her, when the nanny opens the door. " Gwen will be with you shortly she is still getting ready. Come In". I entered and sat down on the couch. About a few moments later, she comes walking down the hallway. My breathing stops. She is dressed in a dress that no doubt showed a lot of cleavage, light gray and white, fitting tightly on her curves. I felt like a trash can next to her. " Hi there, beautiful. You look stunning," '-'BEAUTIFUL? Where the hell did that come from?'-
She miles that beautiful smile of hers and comes closer. I stood up, welcoming her embrace as she wrapped her arms around my neck, hiding her head there too. I heard her let out a whimper. " Gwen, are you okay?" I asked. She looked up at me with tears in her eyes yet she had a smile. " I can't remember the last time I went on an actual date. I'm so happy that the kids are at Stella's birthday party and I can relax. " I hugged her tighter and she leaned in. " And you don't look bad yourself, cowboy. " what. I look like a trash can how do I even look 'good'. I was wearing dark blue jeans which was a first and one of my regular black dress shirts. " haha I think i might as well wear a garbage bag because there is no outfit in the world that I could wear to match what your wearing," I stated, giving her a sly grin. She threw her head back laughing as we walked towards the door. " I doubt it. If only you knew how good you looked right now," she whispered quite seductively.

This was supposed to be a long chapter, but I'm pretty busy right now and it doesn't hurt to keep u guys in suspense;)
