Peyton Hall is a flight risk. She always has been. This is no surprise given the way that she was raised. Her mother had bedhopped from one man to the other for as long as Peyton could remember and after being dumped by her fiance and kicked out of the house, Peyton's mother has another destination for the two of them. But this time, they're going to stay with Peyton's aunt - a woman she hasn't seen in seven years.
With this move comes a too small town, a naive, annoying, but lovable cousin, and a resident bad boy named Mason who seems intent on making her life a living hell.
Every bad boy has a story though, and Peyton becomes determined to find out what his is. And as they grow closer, Peyton finds her walls crumbling bit by bit. She's lived her whole life with a plan to escape her mother as soon as possible and start a life of her own. She never could have planned for Mason, though.
But is this bad boy enough to make her stay? Or will she get out of town at the first available opportunity?
She is a flight risk, after all.
