Recap:
"Lucas, That's her wife in the other side of the room" Savanna said plainly while Lucas could only flinch at her tone. She wasn't mad, or sad, nor happy about it either. She was neutral
And it made him flinch again
"I can't"
"I cant answer his call cause if I do then I don't know what to do" He looked up and Savanna was surprise when she saw the vulnerability that was etched in his handsome face
"I don't want to see the betrayal when he knows that I didn't protect her, When he realized I forgotten about her when I promised him"
"I promised him Savanna but all I thought was you or What would happen to you if I was too late"
"Lucas" It was the only things she said and now he felt guilty
"Call Him"
And for the first time, Savanna saw the little boy in him. The boy who learned to be a man in a very young age
The boy who fought for his kingdom only to fall in failure
This boy, the boy who fought his hardest to save her
And so she couldn't help but feel herself opening to this lost boy
Chapter Twenty (Unedited)
The cold winter air bit Savannas skin as she shivered slightly, She could feel the storm coming but refrained herself when she knew she wasn't the only one. She watched the stars that shined brightly against the dark sky, winking at her with wonder while she sat on a car with a frown on her face. She aimlessly twitch and move every time that Lucas who saw her cramped posture, ask silently
"You alright?"
Savanna nodded but kept her eyes outside the blurry forest
"Amanda's gonna be fine you know that right" again she nodded but her mind wasn't just about Amanda but the fact was that her powers were out and it horrified her. She had two days to think, to remember and see what she done that night. Lucas had told her how she screamed and the creatures that were named as ghouls unexpectedly retreated, although she was happy that it was finally over, her mind still couldn't wrap the fact that seventy three or more wolves had died in that battle and that includes children younger then ten
She couldn't help but be afraid of herself as she looked at her hands mindlessly as if black ink would surround her pale skin again
She had visited Amanda more then twice, well she never really left her room where she stayed beside her until Lucas had informed her of their departure and so she kissed Amanda's pale forehead goodbye and left
They had to leave Amanda who still hadn't woken up from coma and she knew it would take a day for Amanda to arrive to Lucas' place without hurting her through traveling. Although Savanna wishes for her to wake up, a part of her dislike that she was going to have to tell her of her misfortune
the fact that she was carrying a baby....

such small bundle of joy that was taken away from her
Was this the reason of her visit that night? That she wanted to talk about being a mother? or what it felt like to carry something human and wonderful
" Savanna" surprised she turned towards Lucas who was now looking at her in concern but in time to time would watch the open road "your crying"
She didn't know she was crying until she brought her hand towards her now wet cheeks before she wiped them with a shrug but didn't reply
"Stop overthinking this and take a nap, I'll wake you up until we get to my cousins place"
"I really cant help but overthink Lucas, Everything is just going fast that I feel lost right now"
"That's because your afraid, Don't hurt yourself by blaming yourself too. That's my problem not yours" Was all he said before they were blanketed with silence
"What did Raphael say" She said all a sudden and this time it was Lucas who stayed silent until he cleared his throat
"Well he's not happy" Savanna snorted
"Who wouldn't be" She muttered and he sighed
"He's coming here around three days or so"
"She didn't deserve this" She said all a sudden while Lucas only gave a irritated groan
"I told you it wasn't your fault-"
"How can you say that?" She spat, Her body moved forward to look at him incredulously "How can you say that when Amanda didn't deserve this! Her child! her first ever child was killed before it could see the worl-" the car slammed into a stop and before she knew it, Lucas was unbuckling the seat belt only to grab her face and kiss her in full force
Savanna couldn't help but gasp and this gave Lucas the time to bring his tongue out and swiped it into her bottom lips in seduction. The way he slanted his head for more access as his arms wrapped around her waist in a tight embrace
And before she could think, Lucas lifted her up and brought her body to him, her legs straddling his lower body and kissed him like he was some drug she couldn't stop using
"Lucas" she silently cringe when it came out as moan but this didn't stop her from synchronizing her lips against his lips. She could feel his hands slowly bringing it up into her flesh where she could feel them rough and cold
And she loves it
The way they tickled her stomach and rose towards her ribs and slowly into her lower breast where he stopped for a second, and when she didn't move away, they began to creep up before he had fully cupped her covered globes in tender
"Fucking hell" he rasp when he finally squeezed them tightly like he couldn't believe he was touching her. The way his hips buckled underneath her and distinctly and slowly run them against hers in a slow torturous way
Savanna was surprise when she felt her lower part throb in desperation, as if asking her to rub herself against his pants and so she did
And boy did he give out a moan that almost brought her to insanity
Her mind went blank and all she could think was him. The way he felt like home and the way he was treating her now brought her crazy that she began to do things that she didn't understand
The way her hips rubbed his pants harder brought a wave of longing and more that she suddenly snaked her hand through his disheveled hair and grip them tightly, her arms went straight through his neck as she felt something build up inside her, until finally she felt herself break
A wave of pleasure hit her hard that she let out a loud moan that echoed through the darkened car
Finally she slumped against his shaking body and gave out a sigh when the silence began to close around them
"You just fucking dry hump me"
Lucas said all of a sudden that Savanna had time to process what he just said. And when she did, she froze on her spot
Slowly and awkwardly, she took her hands off his hair and began to leave his side but Lucas only tightened his grip against her waist with a groan
"You're really not helping sweetheart" he grunted and that's when she felt a bulge beneath her pants, the way it awkwardly stood and touched her thigh made her clear her throat
"I'm sorry" she said Lamely
"It's fine" he sighed. He didn't take his hands of her hips, instead he made circular motion against her bare skin that made her hot again
"we should go"
"Yeah I think we should " said Lucas who didn't even budge, even Savanna felt comfortable just by sitting here but she knew they were running out of time. So with a heavy heart, she slowly left his lap and sat into the passenger seat where they sat in silence
Lucas took deep breath before he shifted the gear and the car started to move towards the empty road

Savanna fell asleep during the ride and when she finally woken up, she realized they were slowing down into a town
Lucas home
And then realized it. Lucas had never told her or even utter a word about his kingdom. The way he would silence whenever the topic comes as if he hated his life here
"Can I ask you a question" she asked when Lucas stopped in front of a big mansion
Lucas didn't reply, instead he turned to look at her like he knew what she was about to ask
"Why did you give your title to your cousin?"
She waited for him to reply but all he did was sigh and murmured in a low voice "I knew you would ask that". He brought his eyes towards her before he spoke again
I believe you know about my mate and how she died" He stated
All she could do was guiltily nod her head when she remembered asking Amanda about it and Lucas knowing
"After that night, I just lost everything. Being a leader meant leading my pack and when things got out of hand, my cousin wished to battle me for the name when I refused to be an alpha to them" Lucas had the face of longing, the way his face darken at the very thought of his past Before he continued
"It was for the best anyway. After that I decided to up and leave them to his care and created a life in the human world. Raphael who was a kid at the moment couldn't come with me so he studied hard until he was able to leave Oscar"
They were silent. To be honest, Savanna didn't know what to say, the fact that Lucas had struggled just as she with his mate. The way he had left Raphael who she found out loved his brother too much that he would follow him to the end of earth brought her in realization
Was this the reason why he had been cold to her in the beginning?
"Now here we are, so any questions before we leave?"
She shook her head
"Good" those were his last words before he got out of the car, Savanna did the same As he locked it
Facing the mansion she ask once again
"Before we go, does your cousin hate your guts?"
He shook his head and she nodded
"Good then" she really didn't want persuade another person because she's a danger to their pack. Although Alester had told her repeatedly that she could come back, she really didn't want to see anyone she knew. Not even her father.
"Don't worry, Alaric isn't as bad as the elders"
and then They went in. Savanna was awed by by the interior, the way they designed so beautifully made her envious at their skills while Savanna, well let's just say her taste in art has never been favorable
"Your cousins good" she mumbled but all Lucas did was walk closer to her body and placed his hand on her lower back
Savanna stiffened at the innocent gesture that she can't help but think of thoughts that were dirtier then waste
"Lucas?"
"Alaric" Lucas suddenly greeted that when Savanna looked in front and saw a handsome man, he was slightly older then Lucas but this man looked like he was beautifully carved in perfection by the goddess herself. The fact that she was ogling was embarrassing but she couldn't help herself
"And who might this be" Alaric smile at her way in interest, this made her uncomfortable until Lukas cleared his thorat, irritation etched in his face
"This is Savanna, the woman I told you about"
"The witch huh?" He smiled but as he said this, Savanna couldn't help but grow darker from the word. She felt a bitter feeling as he compared her to them
"Alaric" Lucas warned, sensing Savanna's distress. Alaric though realized his mistake and Began to clear his throat awkwardly
"Okay um..:. It's nice to see you Savanna but if you don't mind, I need my cousin for a while. You could explore the house or maybe visit the town?" Savanna nodded in response while she watched Alaric drag Lucas away from her before giving a wave
What should she do now?
Savanna thought about exploring the mansion yet after passing the town, she thought she saw a shop that interested her so she decided It was Town then
Savanna began to walked outside where she embraced the green scenery, as far as she learned their world were more cleaner the the human world but they did have good greens. She appreciated the wolves way of living just as humans did. They are quite the same as she notice
Her mind began to drift towards many scenarios then she didn't notice she was in town, people watched her in curiosity- probably wondering what her business is here. Savanna would smile time to time when one would look her way, she would even greet them with a nod while they did too in return and that made her confident. Despite the change of smell, they remained formal without acknowledging the foul stench of her blood
And she felt like a true wolf she is
With her head held high, she walked until she saw the store he was fascinated about and went in. The bell chimed, signaling her arrival while she read the front silently
"Magics Mystery"
The place held a variable of ancient objects used before, a boutique perhaps where they sold necklaces, clothes and other accessories but not only that, they had these things that she didn't know of it's use
Suddenly her eyes caught something that shimmered from it's hiding place, Savanna slowly walked towards it and brought it towards her face where she can see it until she gasp when the necklace she held twirled around and she was met with the very eyes that hunted her
"May I help you?"
Savanna swirled and the next thing she knew, her body hit an old clock as it smashed against the marbled floor
"I'll pay for it!" Savanna quickly injected before the girl could utter a word. She looked young, around thirteen perhaps. His eyes blue as the sky while her curly hair swirled around her angelic face. She looked at Savanna in curiosity until she uttered her answer
"It's fine, it's old anyways"
"That's sort of the point in selling it isn't it?" She asked the little girl who only rolled her eyes
"No ones going to buy that junk anyway" she retored before her eyes assessed the object she held before asking
"You interested in The witch perhaps?"
"Do you know her?" Savanna ask in confusion. The girl said it as if it was no big deal
"Yeah, I mean not really. My sisters grew up with the goddesses until they were whisk away from earth except Vashka"
"And?" Savanna asked hopefully
She only shrugged her shoulders
"I wasn't even born yet"
"Oh" disappointment washed through her. She wished they she might get information from others who had been in Vashka's era to know what she's capable of. While Savanna looked down , The girl began to study her- as if she could read her mind , the woman spoke again
"But if your desperate, I can lead you to them? But this cause a bag of money?" She suggested while Savanna didn't hesitate to agree
"Yes! Anything"
"Are you sure?"
"Positive"
"Then it's settle!" She clapped her hand together while her eyes widen in happiness at the word money
"When shall we depart?"she asked
"The sooner the better"
The girl began to think before they smiled once again
"I leave tonight actually , would that be fine?"
Savanna nodded
"Splendid!" The stranger giggled in a soft voice
"My name's Thana by the way"
0-0 it's four in the morning, I realize this just now. Anyway I shouldn't have drank coffee all because I'm craving it
