Freedom is a state of mind but hers was secured tightly by invincible locks.
No one could know what she was thinking. They would be scared. They would leave her.
She wasn't ready for more abandonment.
She knew what she had to do.
Yes, she was scared, but it wasn't something that could be avoided.
It was bound to happen eventually, whether it be self inflicted or not.
We all die in the end.
We all become forgotten names and whispers travelling through stardust.
So what did it matter when it happened?
She was ready, she was not afraid.
