Alester's POV
Who would've thought he would see her again and in this kind if place too
Savanna
Alester never knew Savanna yet he knew much. His brother, Marcus once told him stories when he had schooled in the human world. Although it was more about Ally, He did mention her best friend. Now Alester never knew Savanna but that little girl who used to play alone when he had been thirteen. It was the age when he had to stop being a kid and more of a leader, after all he had the blood of an alpha. As far as he remembered, she had sported a boy crop hair, her nose was always runny and her body was skinny. Nothing had been attractive about her but only saw her as a boy who once played with that man, who was this- Allan perhaps was his name
Lets just say, he had never been interested nor thought of Savanna in any way, until he received the message that his brother had died. Marcus, the man he had called his brother- someone he had looked up since he was a pup. Losing someone you wish to at least have the time to say goodbye had hurt too much that he was blinded in fury. He wanted to break things, destroy everyone or whoever did this to him and then Savanna's name came
It has said in the letter that four wolves were killed including his brother but one survived, saying the she wolf had opened a portal
Now this was new to hear. Something unimaginable, something that has never happened nor heard of since centuries. A little she wolf had opened something dark.
Now Alester never understood what had happen, neither did they know but did inform him about how everyone felt the air change, the wolves felt something in their gut that something was awfully wrong. The moment everyone felt their world had gotten darker and something that was there- they received Marcus call, A mind link but He who was unfortunately not there could not understand what they saw or what Markus said but they saw it

It was a bloodbath yet she had lived

He didn't take time to pack his bags and left to find a witch who could open portals to his home faster yet three days were too long and when he did come back- he was able to make it to their funeral. He had saw them mourn, saw them pray the goddess and saw them detest Savannas presence but what really caught his memories were not about his dead brother but of a she wolf who hid in the shadows. The girl who grew into a rather beautiful woman who was made for him
yet he despised her for she was a murderer
Everyone knew yet didn't understood what she did, but we knew it was linked to that witch they knew in stories. About how Lucas the Lionhearted defeated her and caged her into a world where they wouldn't see her again
but here she is, roaming their world as she hid behind the wind. Never seen, never heard
and that was what they were afraid of
Why they hated Savanna when she did something foolish
But seeing her, inside the castle as she looked at him in vulnerability, the way her eyes were red and had ask him for his hands
He knew then that they were a match
and yet he ended up being the fool. He had disregarded his wolf who jumped for joy- who cursed him for choosing someone else. He could never stop seeing her broken face when he told her he couldn't make her his queen. It haunted him, her beauty, her cries and when he felt her pain when he had made love to Lucia. He had never mark her- he really didn't have the courage to make her his when she found her mate in his coronation. He still remembered how she chose him and the way her mate protested by unleashing his beast for challenge but Alester had stopped, saying he couldn't have Lucia because when he saw that wolf, That common guard who wanted to fight an alpha just for his mate to be his
it made him understand what he was losing
Now seeing her here, in the flesh. Beautiful as ever with her dark ebony hair longer then he remembered. Her freckles were still visible now he found it rather attractive but what stopped his breathing was her eyes. Oh how he missed her, that shade of electric blue that haunted his waking day and nights
and he asked himself
Why did you let her go?
And why was Lucas holding his mate when it should have been him?
Seeing her, seeing him. Together as she helped him stop his beast from being released and it had work. This surprised Alester for only the other half could do such thing
And then he knew
panic gripped him when when he realized the stories were true, how two unmated or rejected wolves could find another and he knew this too well

"Lucas come on, you need to rest" She murmured uncomfortably while they all stared at her and Lucas who still had his arms around Savanna. His savanna
Suddenly the door opened revealing a beautiful woman, She didn't have the scent of a wolf yet she wasn't human either. Her golden hair shined as she sashayed towards the two people and talked in a hush whisper
The woman nodded and tugged Lucas arm who only grunted in annoyance
"Lucas you still need to deal with the others alphas, Come on" With that he begrudgingly let go and glared at the blond before leaving the room, only to stop beside him an whispered in a low growl
"If you touch whats mine Florence, your dead" and with that, he left leaving Savanna and the blond who talked silently before Savanna cleared her throat
"Gentlemen, My friend would like to show you to your rooms so have the pleasure to feel at home" She turned leaving the blond who began to call out everyone but Alester of course followed Savanna who walked out of the room and into the garden
"What do you want Alester" Savanna sighed when they arrived the garden. It was surrounded with colors over different variety of flowers. The beauty of the scenery couldn't compare Savannas complexion yet it made her look like the goddess herself
"I just want to talk to you... I " he cleared his throat before looking at her straight in the eye "I miss you"
"Cut the bullshit Alester-"
"It's true" he argues and gave out a frustrated grunt "I'm sorry for leaving you, for hurting you and not being there- I- I messed up and I'm fucking sorry" The last came out a whisper just as the silence blanketed them. When Savanna didn't reply, He looked up only to see her eyes glassy but her angelic face firm
"What do you want me to do Alester? Forgive you? Forget that you didn't just humiliate me but chose someone else" she gritted out
"I know I chose Lucia but I couldn't have her! I didn't have the courage to put her in a situation where she has to lose someone that keeps her breathing, That keeps her sane!"
"That's because her mate came! Isn't it?! And if she had never seen him you would have pursued her you- you ignorant bastard!" this time, Savanna took big step as she stood near him, Alester would have kissed her but her fists instantly went flying towards his face and chest
Alester let out a curse when she had punched his jaw. Hard.
But he knew he deserved this. The pain for he knew what she felt was more excruciating then being hit physically, so he let her go and let her continue until her hits became weak and her breathing labored. When she did stop, her forehead hit his chest with a grunt
" I felt it" She whispered "I felt you mark her and it hurts"
Alester who slowly brought his hands up to grip her hands softly and place them on hers before he said in a whisper
"That night, It was the night when i slept with her, I was intoxicated just as she and it just happened. Her mate came after the second ceremony and and things just went there" when she didn't reply, he continued "I swear i didn't mark her Savanna, believe me please"
"I really don't know what to believe anymore Alester" he heard her say
"I think its best if you stay out of each others way until I understand what I am or-" but she didn't get to finish her sentence when Alester brought her lips close to his and whispered
"I don't care if you have the witches blood Savanna, I don't care anymore but I will not lose you. I swear on my grave I'm not giving up"
"Don't do this please"
But Alester knew he couldn't, he didn't want to give up yet. Even if she started to love Lucas or even if her wolf begins to accept another, he would do his best to have her back
No matter what.
She will be his
and no one will stop him
