Everything seemed so wrong. Eugene is in a coma. Her only best friend is dead. She wondered, how's Nick coping up with all these things. After all he's the one driving the car that killed his beloved girlfriend. Her best friend.
"Hello?"
"Hey Mrs. Simon, it's me Alexia. How's Eugene?"
"He's not yet waking up."
"Could you give me a call if he does? I mean, I want to be there when he wakes up. And I want to see him so bad."
"Alexia, my dear. I understand you. For now, you should take a rest. Take care of yourself."
"Well, um. Thanks."
Just before they hang up. Someone knocked on the door.
"Yeah? How may I help you?"
"You probably don't remember me."
"Sorry, but I think I don't."
"I'm the guy who helped you out last night."
Alexia tried to remember what happened that night. All she can remember is the horror - - - the tragic scene.
"I lend you my jacket."
"Oh? So you're here to take your jacket?" Alexia said sarcastically.
"I was hoping more of a Thank You response."
"I have to go. I'm sorry, I can't to talk someone right now."
Obviously, Alexia isn't in the mood for talking to someone. Especially if it is about the accident. She went straight to her room. She saw the jacket that the guy was talking about.
"Who is he?" She wondered. Then she just realized how rude she was to the guy who might have actually saved her life.
She went to the kitchen to ask her mother.
"Mom,can I ask you something?"
"What is it?"
"Did the police might have said something about a Witness in the accident?"
"Well, the police said someone called for help."
"Who was it?"
"I really don't know dear. Why?"
"I just wondered. If there's any chance that you could speak again with the police,can you ask them?"
