"You look beautiful"
Words frozen between milliseconds in the air.
"You smell beautiful too"
It was like the softness of it all dulled my sense,
The blooming kisses,
The touch that hushed me back to stillness,
The clarity, the lack of clarity, leading me to inquiry. "Am I alive?
It was a stillness that I was afraid of losing, but I knew it would not last. If only the lovers of our time can claim happiness,
Like the way we claim clothes, food, articles of the flesh, memorabilia of the fragile and the fake.
