Chapter Twelve (unedited)
It was Monday once again. Everything was normal, she'd go to school with Jessica, she would see Aaron sometimes too. Things were normal but their was a thing that change
Lucas never spoke to her again
After the day they almost kissed, Raphael and Amanda came home with a bag of groceries. They laughed and made jokes until Raphael came shouting their names. This was brought Lucas and Her to a stop
She didn't know if she should be thankful or pissed that nothing happened because the fact was, she guiltily wanted it to but at the same time, she was worried what would happen If it did. Would he see her in another light or will she be a one step forward and ten steps back like what was happening now?
Now all Savanna did was think as she isolated herself in her room. Her mind jumbled in whole big world of her thoughts that only one subjects consists of it
Lucas
She texted Jessica if she wanted to hangout since they didn't have classes but disappointment washed through her when she declined saying she had to work on her part time job. She couldn't ask Aaron since he had working in the office while Lucas? Hes actually in his office doing what ever he is doing. through the days she schooled, she learned a lot and not just about medical but things such as careers and different opportunities. Thousands actually and you get to choose what you wish to do. She grew smarted and had a lot of knowledge. although collage was quite what Jessica had said, she did experienced being invited to frat parties, Jessica's friend had suggested or when other students would ask her. But of course she declined. True she was curios but with everything going on, she didnt think partying would be the right time to do now
She had texted Aaron once, Instantly he replied but at moment who would be busy he couldnt even reply to messages, she was guity for messaging but Aaron protested that he was happy she texted. And thats how she began having conversations with him every break.
"I want to see you again" he whispered, Savanna smiled at Aaron's voice
"Me too, I really wanted to see more of the city, too bad your boss is being an ass" she joked, She even heard him snort in agreement "Im dying from boredom, you think you can come on over?" he replied with a sigh
"I'm pretty sure Lucas banned me from visiting the Andreadis mansion. Don't know why but I think he's starting to hate me"
"I'm sure he did" she muttered with a groan. Savanna had been stuck in her room because Lucas thought it was best she should read the wolves history. She knew much from Raphael ad Amanda but Lucas was begiining to put her on edge with his strict personality
"anyway I should go, my breaks alsmost over"
"sure sure, Bye Aaron"
"bye" the phone clicked as she drop the object to the bed where she laid, staring aimlessly at nothing bot her ceiling, slowly she turned when she got an idea
Savanna decided she should rummage her mothers things, maybe find something precious to her or memoriable. With that thought she hurridly left her room and into her mothers which was on the east wing. When she got their, she slowly opened the white door and is greeted by silence. Slowly she went towards her wardrobe where she found it spacious with about four clothes in it, Some were old fashioned from old generation. She even had dresses made in rugs. WHen she was finished she looked at the boxes under where she found old pictures of her. As she looked she thought
Her mother lived in a wonderful life. Most pictures, her hair would change colors. She saw Sarah in blond, a brunet and even a punk rock chick look. A laugh escaped her mouth as she watched another photo, this time it was her and father.
They looked happy and young and free. She remembered when she visited her memories of how she met father, and the secret affair that was going on in years until they eloped with him and into the his world. She never really saw the details of everything but he knew he loved her in his odd ways
Her eyes never strayed but when she saw the pendent she had held last time shining from the sun, she stood and took it. As far as she knew, Amanda told her once that this was her favorite, she'd wear it every day. They didn't know why but she knew this one cost thousands. The diamond pendant shine once again before she trace the outline with a soft touch until she heard the door bell ring
Surprised she closed her fist against the object and placed it in her pockets before leaving Sarah's room and into the entrance where where she saw Amanda opening it
"Good afternoon Victoria" Amanda said in profession- it surprised her that she began to look at the visitor that made Amanda so proper and then she saw
The beautiful woman who kissed Lucas
So her names Victoria
Her name even suits her rank in whatever she does....
Savanna thought bitterly but froze when Victoria sniffed the air and watched with those cat eyes when they look her way. Her perfectly shaped eyebrow Arche as she turned to look at Amanda with question
"This is Savanna your grace, she lives with us" Amanda's head bowed- her action only made her curios as to what Victoria is. But She wasn't werewolf, that she could guarantee
"Lucas brought a child" she stated. Savanna walked slowly down and towards the tall woman before she smiled weakly
"It's nice to meet you Victoria" Victorias eyes zeroed at the wolf as she studied her but didn't say anything. She only turned and walk towards Lucas office
"Fetch me some drinks Amanda dear. I am parched"
"Yes your Grace" curious, Savanna followed Amanda who shook as she took A glass
"Who is she?" She finally ask when they arrive in the kitchen
"Victoria Vasiliev, a Russian royal who's should never be messed with" she stuttered but place a red liquid in the glass. Savanna still wondered
Why is she afraid of Victoria?
"Amanda what is she" Savanna said lowly, she knew she might not like the answer but she saw Amanda shudder in fright
"Victorias family as been living for centuries, she's probably one of the ancient one-"
"She's a vampire" Savanna stated when she realized why Amanda was shaken. Vampires and seers where not commonly friendly to each other. The seers have been hiding from vampires who lived for their blood. She remembered Amanda telling her about how they feared vampires for their history came from before, seers were know to be killed and so the vampires took it to them that they could finish the job, after all seers blood were not tainted in emotions and that they lived in innocence
"Victoria is not someone you could mess with, she is a princess- a part of the royal blood and she will do anything to destroy anyone who comes across her"
"Oh Amanda" she murmured but she only shook her head
"No don't worry, this is my life I'm use to it" she said before taking the glass and left
Savanna followed her and ask
"And is Raphael okay with this?"
"Of course not! Raphael had pleaded Lucas to never bring a vampire in our home for my sake. He agreed Except Victoria could come in"
"How he be so inconsiderate" Savanna muttered while Amanda agreed with a nod
"He doesn't not care Savanna, I do not expect anything from him but my safety. That is all"
"What is her business with Lucas anyway?" Amanda stopped as she shook her head before looking at Savanna in the eyes
"Have you hear of a hybrid Savanna?" Savanna nodded slowly "her father wants to create a new world of power and the only thing they could do that is mix wolves and vampire altogether" Savanna stood speechless at the thought
"But Lucas of course declined and Victoria is still dead set on changing his mind. Now I should go now child. Victoria is many things but patience is not a part if it" she watched Amanda leave while she stood in the Halls watching.
She didn't know how many minutes she stayed like that but as moment came she decided to roam around. She walked aimlessly until she halted when she saw a door left ajar. It was then she heard the slight humming. A soft caress of a beautiful voice lowly sung of an ancient wolf song
Never had she ever heard the song but she was a pup. Sang by villagers to their kids, although she heard it once or twice she still thought it was stunningly calming to hear. Slowly she began to walk towards the door
Savanna should feel alerted that someone was here but to her surprise, she felt happy and calm
The room was quiet and Savanna was curious as to what was inside. It surprised Savanna she still haven't looked at all the places but the north wing- where she is now
She looked and turned if anyone was watching before sliding the door open. The place was neatly clean and spacious but her mind drifted to the only object placed in front
The grand piano lay there while the room sat empty but open windows and curtains. The wind blew the cloth as it gave a free aroma of fresh air
Silently inspecting the white room before slowly walking towards it
The piano lay untouched but she knew someone cleans this room. It was spotless and the piano worked perfectly when she pressed the keyboard
"Savanna"
A gasp left her mouth as she franticly looked around but only saw the room empty as it was before
She knew that voice. She recognized it but just couldn't put a finger on it
"What are you doing" this time she did jump at the unexpected guest. She turned and saw victoria who's arms were folded but her face remained neutral
"Ow it's you" she sighed but stopped when she looked at her in question
"It's me?" She ask as she slowly walked in front of her
"Wel I mean I thought I saw someone" she looked one more time before flashing Victoria a smile
"Your a weird pup yet I couldn't help but smell you from Lucas office. Are you a hybrid?" Savanna's shook her head "then answer me. Why is you blood sweeter?" Suddenly she took a step as she stood before her. Her eyes watched her as she slowly brought her hands up and touched her forehead
Her red eyes began to vanish as it completely faded and turn into white.
When her fingers touched, she felt her head begin to hurt but as she watched she notice Victoria began to squirm, her forehead creased as she struggled. Suddenly both her hand held each side of her head like she was trying to hold on but as Savanna continued to watch and flinch from the pain that began to grow more stronger, she saw Victorias eyes grow in fear when a black ink slowly spread through her eyes like poison
And then she screamed in pain
Victoria's grip loosened as Savanna began to breath again but her eyes stayed at the shaking vampire who struggled on the floor
Suddenly the door banged opened and Lucas came with Amanda behind him. He looked surprised to see her until they moved to the vampire who cried as her eyes bled
"What the hell happened!" He snapped at Savanna who felt fear bile up her throat
She didn't know
God she didn't know
"Lucas she needs to leave" Amanda said in panic while they looked at her
"I think Victoria saw what she was. And when she tells her poeple, they will not hesitate to find Savanna and kill her"
Lucas looked at the girl who looked frightened herself while Victoria weeped in pain but as he studied her, he realize something was wrong
"What the hell" with large strides, he ripped the cloth that covered her neck and froze in disbelief
"This can't be happening" he muttered. He too looked up at Amanda in panic
Because he knew. That Savanna was no longer safe in the human world nor theirs.
He looked at Savanna once again while she stood wide eyes
"What is this Lucas?"
"It's Vashka's birthmark"
And then she knew
Things were about to get serious
Dun dun duuuun!!! I don't know if you understood but my writing is really crappy so bare with me :(
