I'm here at the hospital my twin.... Mara Schinittka. when i knew about her condition, tumakbo agad ako sa manila hospital
"Zharmella...." she weakly smiled.
"Where's your baby?" tanong ko.
napansin ko kasing wala ng umbok sa tummy niya.
"I just gave birth. i-it's a baby girl." maluha-luhang sabi niya.
I can't help but to cry. i pity my sister a lot, meron siyang brain tumor, it became worst dahil di naagapan.
"What's her name?" tanong ko.
"It's Chandria Schinittka- Padilla." sabi niya.
Damn these tears, naiiyak na talaga ako.
"You love your bestfriend, alot." sabi ko and held her hand.
She got her baby's name sa second name ni kathy.
"Yes. I love kathryn so much, that's why my conscience were killing me. sobra ko siyang pinaglihian to the point na naitulak ko siya sa hagdan." umiiyak niyang sabi. "And know she's commatosed. because of me! Zharm...." she hugged me.
"Shh. mara, it's fine. she will be alright. ikaw, dapat magpagaling ka." i'm trying to make her stronger even though i know she wont make it.
"Are you kidding? haha." she faked a laugh. "I'm dying... maybe later, or in a few seconds. who knows?" she said.
Umiyak ako habang magkayakap kami. i cant bear seeing my twin sister cry. damn.
"Zharm, bring me to her." sabi niya.
i nodded, sinakay ko siya sa kanyang wheel chair and went to kathryn's room.
When we got there, we saw kathryn lying on her bed, may bandage sa ulo.
"Gosh." Mara sobbed when she saw kathryn.
No one was even there to look after kathryn. nasa province kasi ang mga pamilya niya/namin.
she held kathryn's hand. "kathryn chandria manuel bernardo, i am so sorry for what i have caused you. bestfriend, i love you so much. wag mo muna ako *sob* bisitahin sa langit ah? mauuna ako. you have a lot of things to do in your life. you are a strong woman, remember? pinagmumura mo si daniel dati sa phone when you knew na she slept with someone else while i was still pregnant? sayang, you two havent met." she wiped her tears.
"Chandria is the name of my daughter, i got it from your second name. ironic right? hihi. Sorry if we broke our promise, yung promise na hindi dapat tayo magka-anak ng maaga. remember?..... *sob sob*"
"Daniel John, he's my first love. siya yung guy na nagpatibok sa puso ko ng nakakaloka nung unang apak ko sa manila. kasi sa nueva ecija, walang gwapo eh. haha joke lang...."
"pero... thankful ako kasi we became friends. sinagip moko nun sa pool..."
"Beshy, kathryn, please be *sob* strong. i love you." and she kissed kathryn on her forehead then she hugged her.
I wiped my tears.
nakita ko parang babagsak na yung katawan ni mara... no, lord please. not this soon please =((
"Z-zharm.... p-p-pr-promise me one thing...." she said while holding her head.
"M-mara! *sob*"
"k-keep a-an.... e--eye to d-dan--daniel.... n-never f-fall i-inlove w-wi---with h-im.... n-never l-let some gi-girls o-out there fl-flirt w-ith him....... i-f s-someone flirts w-with h-him. ki-kill t-the g-girl... whoever she is....."
That was her last words. Napaupo siya sa wheel chair niya, i called the doctors but her brain gave up already. her brain is tired. Mara died without daniel knowing it...
"ZHARM!" sigaw ni Julia. Julia Barretto, my bestfriend.
"J-Julia!" i hugged her. she hugged me back.
I was crying on her shoulders.... She's not close with mara, nung na-meet ko kasi siya nasa manila na si mara nun.
"Shh. bes." she's tapping my back.
All i did was to cry and cry. i lost my one and only family. i lost my twin.
From this day onwards, i'll not use 'Schittka' as my surname..... i will use my middle initial, 'Arriola'

"julia, we have to talk."
"Ano yun?"
"You know kathryn, right?"
"OO naman."
"You take care of her..... Julia, pinapasunod ako ni Lola sa states. i told her about mara who passed away last last week. And, i'll be on states for good."
"Ano?!"
She hugged me and i hugged her back.
"i will take care of kathryn, bes. i will miss you."

(4 years later)
I'm back from philippines but i havent told julia. we lost our communication nung nasa states na'ko.
I was heading to red ribbon to buy a cake. (SEE CHAPTER 7)
I was stunned when i saw kathryn....
Oh my gosh! IT WAS KATHRYN!
lalapitan ko na sana siya ng nakita kong papalapit sakanya si Daniel and he kissed kathryn's cheek.

Inutusan kong ipa-dampot si kathryn.
Sinabi kong 'Masch' para maghinala si kathryn about kay mara. pero parang wala lang sakanya.
How dare this girl.
Alam niya namang ayaw ni Mara sa lahat ang may lumalandi kay Daniel.

I saw Julia....... i wanna hug her because i miss her sooooo much.
Kaso mukang sila na ni kathryn ngayon ang mag-besties. Damn.
Mang-aagaw talaga 'tong si kathryn! Why did mara has to be bestfriends with her?

i tried to be friends with her.
nagparinig pa nga ako sakanya na

Pero parang wala lang talaga siya.... DAMN THIS!
Napag-alaman kong kinuha ako ni Daniel as their model. Hah! Pero the bad thing is... me and daniel never met before. so i bet he does not know me.
I tried destryoing their relationship but i failed....
I failed because they ended up being engaged.
And i also failed to mara's promise na hindi ako magka-gusto kay daniel.
i just did.
i like daniel.

Nagpunta ako sa Manila Hospital after nung scene na ikissed daniel sa entrance ng Forever21.
"Doc, remember me?" tanong ko sa doctor ni kathryn before when she was commatosed.
"How could i possibly forget about you, Miss. Zharmella Schinittka?" he smiled.
We chatted and chatted about the past.
"How is Kathryn, doc?"
"well, 3 years ago, nagising na siya pero she didnt remembered everything. she has a brain damage, zharm. i already told Julia about it, na kapag sumasakit ang ulo ni kathryn or may naalala na siya, dalhin niya dito para maagapan at hindi maging brain tumor iyon. pero i've been waiting, they never went here."
nanlumo ako sa nalaman ko.
Oh god.
"So, doc. if ever na, kunwari..... hanggang ngayon ay sumasakit ang ulo ni kathryn, possible kayang Brain Tumor na iyon?"
"Possible, Zharm."
