* Sophie's POV *
Its now February 1st and Jon, Pat, and the other Olympians were heading over to Sochi. Jonathan had invited me to come along and I really wanted to but I had school most of the time they were there. I had two weeks off in the middle of February at the end of the hockey part of the Olympics and I was flying out to watch and meet the team and everything. I was very excited to go out of the country and watch them play but I was even more excited that I was going to be able to spend my birthday with Jonathan after all.
* February 11th *
Today is the day Avery and I fly out to Sochi to see the guys.
We boarded our flight to Buffalo and flew 4 hours from Wichita to get there. We then had a 30 minute lay over before our flight to Paris. When we got to Paris it was 11 pm local time and the airport wasn't very busy. We were scheduled to have an hour lay over but there was a mechanical issue with the plane from the last flight and they had to fix it so we ended up waiting another 4 hours for our plane to be fixed.
I had texted Jon that we would be four hours later than originally thought.
We boarded our flight to Sochi at 4 a.m. and reached Sochi at 11 a.m. We got off the plane and looked around for the guys. We found them standing near the terminal waiting for us and we gave them both hello kisses.
Welcome to Sochi babe, Jonathan said.
We went and got our luggage before getting into a car and going to the Olympic village. When Avery and I got into our rooms we said goodnight to the guys and told them we'd see them in the morning even though it was only noon, we had some serious jet lag. We fell right asleep as soon as we laid down and slept until 4 a.m.
We got up and went down to the workout room and found it empty, no surprise there since it was 4 in the morning. We worked out until 5:30 and then we went back up to our room and both took showers before blow drying our hair and both of us fishtailing our hair. We also dressed the same almost, I put on white skinny jeans, a team Canada shirt I had gotten from the hotel gift shop, and my light brown Uggs, Avery wearing blue skinny jeans and a USA team shirt.
I went down to Jonathan's room like he told me too yesterday and knocked in the door.
It wasn't Jonathan who opened the door it was Sharpie who was his roommate.
Sharpie! I said when he opened the door.
Sophie! He said back and pulled me into a hug. Jonathan Sophie's here! He yelled over his shoulder.
Jonathan came over in basketball shorts and a grey under armor shirt you could see his abs through.
Sophie! He came up to me and kissed me quickly. You almost look ready for the game this afternoon, you're just missing this, he said handing me his extra jersey.
Well thank you, I said and quickly pulled it over my head and walked into their room.
I sat down and we talked for awhile before they had to go to practice so I went and met up with Avery for lunch.
After we ate we decided to walk around for a little while before going back to the hotel. When we got back to the hotel the fans and team members of the teams that play today were heading out to the arena. We saw people wearing the country jerseys and others wearing one of the players NHL jersey.
Team USA plays Slovakia before team Canada plays Norway and I had on a team USA shirt under my Canada Toews jersey. I took the jersey off and wore the shirt for Pat's game which they won and then threw my jersey back on for the Canada vs. Norway.
Canada won the game and I went down to the locker room and waited for Jonathan to come out.
Hey babe, he said when he walked out the door.
Hi, amazing game, I replied before he pulled me into his arms and kissed me.
You wanna meet the team?
Um...duh! I said and then walked I to the locker room behind Jon.
Hey guys, my girlfriend wanted to meet you guys so, this is Sophie Adams, he said introducing me.
I looked around and saw Sharpie and Duncs were the only one's I knew besides Jonathan. I Gabe them both hugs and then looked around at the rest of the team. I recognized most of them, Crosby, Doughty, Luongo, Price, Weber, Vlasic, Pietrangelo, Subban, Marleau, Kunitz, Getzlaf, Perry, Tavares, Benn, Bergeron, Nash, and Carter. I was introduced to everyone and we hung around and talked for awhile before we all decided to go back to Olympic Village.

Happy Valentine's day babe, Jonathan said after I opened the door to my hotel room.
Happy Valentine's to you too, I replied smiling. He pulled me into him and kissed me passionately.
What do you say to dinner tonight? He asked me.
Sounds great, I'll be here.
He left to get ready for the game and I threw on my Toews jersey, white skinny jeans, my Uggs, and straightened my hair.
I went to the arena and found my front row seat with the other players extra people. I knew all of them but I really only talked to Kelly-Rae, Abby, and Maddy (Sadie couldn't talk yet).
They beat Austria and I was outside waiting for Jonathan when Abby asked me to watch Sadie for a minute. I took Sadie in my arms and watched her sleep soundly until all of a sudden she woke up and started bawling her eyes out. I figured it was the diaper and sure enough it was the diaper bit Abby had taken the diaper bag so I had to calm Sadie down without changing her.
Shhh, its ok Sadie, its ok, I whispered.
Jonathan came out after I had calmed Sadie down and came over to me and kissed me over the baby. Patrick came over and took Sadie so Jonathan pulled me closer and kissed me again.
Great game babe, I told him.
He said thank you and then we went back to the hotel and he told me to be ready for a fancy date at 7 o'clock.
I went over to the closet and picked out one of the two nice dresses I had brought. I had brought a simple light pink dress with a halter and the other one was a strapless teal colored dress. I chose the pink one and did my make up a little heavier and added light pink lip gloss before curling my hair.
I was ready by 6:45 and I was waiting on the couch in our room for Jon to come and get me.
He showed up at exactly 7 and took me down to a taxi he had called. We drove to this fancy expensive looking restaurant and ate dinner there.
After we ate dinner Jonathan handed me a small black box with a red bow on top. I opened the box to reveal a beautiful diamond necklace with matching earrings.
Thank you so much Jonathan, they're beautiful, I said and I told him that his gift was back in my hotel room and he would get it later.
We had ordered a lava cake for desert and we shared it before going back to the hotel and up to my room. After I got into my room I went and got Jon's present and telling him to open it. I got him a new suit from his favorite tailor for Valentine's day and he said that he really liked it.
We watched a romantic movie but we missed half of it because we were making out. After the movie ended we decided we should go to bed. He kissed me goodnight on his way out the door and then I changed into shorts and a t-shirt and crawled under the covers on my bed.

It's now February 16th and it is my birthday. Jon has game today and he's not happy that we can't go out for my birthday tonight.
Happy birthday babe! Jon said happily when I opened my door.
Thank you babe, I replied before reaching up to kiss him.
We hung out until 1 and then he had to go and get ready for the game. I started getting ready myself by putting on the team Canada jersey, white skinny jeans, Uggs, my usual make up, and straightened my hair before putting a small braid in it.
At 5:30 Avery and I made our way to the arena and to our seats.
The game started and Canada got the first goal. Jonathan scored in the 2nd period and in his celebration he blew a kiss to me. During the 2nd intermission they were announcing many things and then I heard one about me.
We would like to wish Jonathan Toews girlfriend Sophie Adams a happy 22nd birthday today.
As soon as they said that I knew Jonathan had tipped them off and told them it was my birthday.
Team Canada beat Finland and I went down to the locker room to wait for Jonathan.
I was talking to Kelly-Rae when two hands covered my eyes.
Guess who? A male's voice asked. I knew it wasn't Jonathan, Duncan, or Sharpie but I didn't know who it was so I just started randomly guessing.
Kunitz?
Nope, guess again.
Crosby?
Yep. He removed his hands from my eyes and turned me around. Happy birthday Sophie! He gave me a quick little high and then scurried off to who knows where.
Jonathan came out a little later and picked me up and spun me around.
You seem to be in a good mood, I said when he put me down.
I'm in a very good mood, I'm with you, its your birthday, and we won the game I couldn't be happier.
We went back to the hotel and to his room so he could give me my presents. When I opened my first present I saw a ticket sitting in tissue paper. I pulled it out and read it but I couldn't believe he actually got me tickets to it.
You got me tickets for the 2014 winter Olympics Women's Ice Skating? I asked him.
Yep, I remember you saying that you liked ice skating, he said and then he handed me the other box.
I opened it and saw another ticket in the tissue paper. I was even more excited when I read this ticket.
You're taking me to Paris?!
Yep, but we have to wait until off season to go, he said.
I'm perfectly ok with that, thank you so much babe. I wrapped my arms around his neck and pulled him towards my lips. When our lips connected I felt the sparks run through me like they always do.
We watched a movie and by the time it ended it was 11 o'clock and I was really tired.
We said goodnight to each other and I walked back to my room and changed before falling asleep instantly when I hit my pillow.
