She was a cashier,
With nothing to her name.
She had a few bucks,
And a suitcase.
She went and told her mom,
She's moving to the city.
She kissed her dad goodbye,
And went crazy.
He was a no good,
Down and dirty man.
Broke a few hearts,
He was quicksand.
They said stay away,
But she liked the game.
He never played fair,
And now she's hardly sane.
She was destined,
For a some tragedy.
Just not sure if,
This was justice.
To die of heartache,
To hold so much pain.
When the dagger still,
Got away.
