So I've seen some people say to me:
"ohmegursh ur grphics r so gud!!!! im such a noob, i cud nver b as tlented as u!!!!! Im such a luserrrr!!!!"
Don't give me that bullcrap, because I certainly didn't come out of the womb with talent. I started out a noob about a year ago and I've practiced, practiced, practiced to get where I am now. So I dug through my imgur account to see some of the (ugly) graphics I've made as a newbie and holy hell, was I terrible. I'm about to show you some, so be ready for the atrocity.
When I first started, all I really did was put slap on text. And the text styles were terrible, so it wasn't even good slap on text. I'm pretty sure these covers weren't even the right dimensions (512x800). (_prometheus was my old username, thus the watermark).
Then I joined the MDC a few months later. And I was like hell no, I'm manipulating this.
I thought I was the greatest designer the world has ever seen. Man, could I not be more wrong. I kinda got better at manip (I was still terrible, tho).
Then I was really into teen fic, for some reason.
Then I went back into manip. Oh kill me for putting lighting textures.
And then I brushed up on my skills, so my graphics weren't terrible for once.
And here I am now, I guess.
See? I improved greatly since I started designing. So, if you're still beating yourself up for being noob, go punch yourself in the face, because that just means there is a ton of room for improvement.
