Aubrey's POV
"I mean, sa tingin mo ba gusto ko pa si Dylan?" I asked Daniel.
They were all taken aback. Ni hindi ko napansin na nasa likod na nila si Papa. All I know is, I am currently in a whirlwind situation.
Dylan is here. Daniel told everyone I should be with Dylan. Keith asked me to marry him.
"W-what does that m-mean?" Si Dylan.
I looked at him as empty and blank as my expression could be. God knows how much I miss him. F*ck all the rules. But I can't go through that pain again, not anymore.
"I mean, I don't want this anymore. I don't want us." I said plainly.
"Mitch, look--" Si Daniel.
"Wala kang dapat ipaliwanag Daniel. I'm sorry. But I need to rest." I suddenly felt dizzy. God, my baby.
"Bes. You okay?" Agad na napakapit si Keith sa akin. "You should rest. Let's go home." He held my back.
Agad na kumilos si Dylan. He closed the distance between us in a second.
"Mahal. Okay ka lang? May masakit ba?" He held my face. God, his smell alone makes me forget why we're here.
"Michelle needs to rest." Keith.
Pareho silang nakahawak sa akin. But I can't tell who's who. Sa gutom ata kaya ako nahilo. I suddenly felt the need to sit down.
Nagsukatan ng tingin si Keith at Dylan.
"Who are you to tell kung anong makakabuti sa magina ko?" Magina. How I love how that sounds.
"I just happen to be the OB of Michelle all this time that -- well -- you're not around." Keith. Stop.
"Tumigil kayo. Please." I said, disoriented as I was.
I sat down at the nearest chair. Nakaamoy ako ng pagkain. Nagugutom na kami ng anak ko.
"Could you kindly get me anything to eat? I'm starving." I said.
Everything went faster than expected. Ang daming dumating na pagkain. Kinuha ko lahat ng gusto ko. Eating as if today's my last.
Nagmamantika pa bibig ko nung lingunin ko sila. Nakanganga sila sa akin.
"Thank God. Now I can think clearly." I said.
"Mitch. Come on. Listen to me first." Daniel.
"Okay then, explain." I said while getting a slice of fruit from the table.
"I think I'm the one who can explain everything." That voice. She's here?!
"Malakas ako pag bagong kain Aimee. Don't try me." I said, words as cold as ice.
"You don't need to be angry with Dylan. Wala kaming relasyon ni Dylan. I just made that scene up for you to leave him. For Daniel to get his revenge with his twin brother. I'm sorry Aubrey. I should've never done anything like that."
Wait, what?! Daniel wants revenge from his brother? But why? I suddenly remembered my findings with their company. I looked up at Daniel. He looks as if all he wanted to do was hold Aimee...... I knew it. She loves Aimee.
"Daniel... Is this true? Bakit mo ginawa yun?" Dylan.
"You were the best son any family could have. Ako? I could never be as good as you. Umalis ako para hanapin si Mitch. I thought I love her. Akala ko, pagmamahal yung nararamdaman ko sa kanya. But no, I wanted to use her -- I'm sorry, Mitch -- for my own good. Para makapaghiganti sa'yo. Para malaman mo na hindi mapupunta ang lahat sa'yo. But I guess, God knows what I wanted to do. Pinigilan nya yun by simply having the two of you as destined to be with each other." He paused. Looked at Aimee and continued. "The company, it was all my fault."
Dylan's face turned from shock to hatred, then to understanding.
"Ibabalik ko ang lahat ng kinuha ko na hindi sa akin. Aayusin ko yung mga relasyon na nasira ko dahil sa kasakiman ko. Hindi ko dapat ginawa but I was blinded by hate. I'm sorry." He looked miserable. But Aimee held his hand all the time.
"And one more thing. Adam is my son." He smiled. He hugged Aimee and she hugged him back. They were a perfect couple.
Wait, what? Adam is...... Not Dylan's son? I held my tummy tighter. Anak, ikaw lang ang anak ni Daddy mo. How great is that?
"Mahal..... Can we at least make this work? This time, I won't let you go." Dylan said.
I looked at Papa, he was smiling. Okay na ba sa kanya ang lahat? Si Keith, ayoko syang saktan e. Hindi ko naman talaga sya mahal. And Dylan.... He was, well, he's smiling. I can't help but smile. Mabubuo ang pamilya ko. Mahal ko sya. Aarte pa ba ako?
