"I can't believe we're married now." Tyler whispers in my ear from behind me as the photographer snaps pictures of us.
"I know, it's crazy." I turn around and face him, putting my arms around his neck and looking up into his eyes. "I feel like we just started dating yesterday."
He laughs, "Those were the days."
"Remember our first date?" I join him in laughter.
He pulls me closer to him, and I hear the photographer's camera clicking as he continues to take pictures of us. I wonder how many pictures he's going to take?
"Oh, how could I ever forget that?" He closes his eyes and shakes his head in embarrassment.
"Oh, come on. It was cute." I argue.
"Please explain to me how dropping my entire ice cream cone on myself was cute?"
The photographer tells us that he's done snapping photos, so Tyler and I walk into a small room to grab a snack before heading into our reception.
"You were nervous and it definitely showed." I explained while opening the door.
"That was one of the most embarrassing moments of my life." He sighs. "I was trying so hard to impress you."
"Well, you did." I say, and he looks up at me confused. "I just married you, didn't I?" We both laugh while we grab bottles of water from the mini fridge.
A few moments of silence pass, and Tyler asks me, "Are you ready to go out there?"
I shrug my shoulders and lean my head against his chest. He places his arms loosely around my waist.
"Is it bad that I would much rather spend time with just you?" I admit.
"Yes." He smirks. "But I feel the same way." He places a kiss on the top of my head.
Eventually, Tyler and I leave our room and make our way into the giant hall where are reception is being held. All of our family and friends are there to greet us, and to congratulate us.
Once we greet everyone, we go up on a mini stage to sit down with the rest of the bridal party on either side of us. There, we see Jamie and my best friend, (Y/F/N). Tyler and I hope they get together one day. They're practically like the same person.
The night passes by fairly quickly, and pretty soon I wish it would never end. As I think about everything, I remember that Tyler never told me where he is taking me for our honeymoon. He wants it to be a surprise, but I don't know if I can handle another minute not knowing.
"Tyler," I say, and he turns his head towards me. "Where are we going after this?"
"To the airport." He smirks.
"Obviously to the airport, but where are you taking me for our honeymoon?" I ask him, my eyes wide from my curiosity.
"I'll tell you later." He says and takes a drink.
"That's not fair!" I argue. "Please, Tyler, I really want to know."
"Not now. I promise that I will tell you once everyone leaves." I groan, but take his hand into mine anyways.
The reception ends and once both of our parents leave, I practically beg him to tell me.
"Follow me." He takes my hand and leads me back to our hotel room.
Once we get inside, we change our clothes and put on sweatpants and t-shirts. Then, Tyler tells me to sit down on the bed as he gets something from his luggage.
He sits down next to me and hands me an envelope with my name on it. "What is this?" I ask him. "I'm kind of scared." I laugh, but he reaffirms me by giving me a kiss on the cheek.
"It's your answer." He wraps an arm around me. "Open it."
I break open the seal and inside are two boarding passes. I look to see our destination.
"Paris?" I practically scream. "We're going to Paris?" I look over at him with wide eyes.
He nods his head, "Yes."
"Oh my gosh, Tyler!" I throw my arms around his neck, hugging him. "You're the greatest husband in the entire world!" I kiss him all over his face.
"I know." He says, chuckling. "But even though I could stay here forever with you, we need to leave now, or else we could miss our flight."
I sit up and kiss him one last time before we both grab our suitcases and head out of the hotel.
I can't believe he's taking me to Paris.
On our second date, he asked me where I wanted to travel to the most. My answer was Paris.
He remembered.
