Hey! I'm so sorry guys, I somehow got to reading a past chapter and realized that I had some continuity issues in this chapter that needed to be fixed. That took a lot longer than I thought.
But I really hope you guys like this chapter, it really ties everything together but the question is if it does it well enough! So I'm super nervous for it but please let me know what you all think!

**Vision/Dream**
Rin
A small fire appeared on the ground and I followed Itachi as he sat next to it. While it was good to see him it still felt strange. Like any minute I'd wake up in a panic in the Nara's guest room and Shikamaru would be at the door disheveled and worried.
"I'm sure there's more you'd like to say and questions you'd like to ask. I hope that I will answer some in this process" He explained and I nodded slightly as I crossed my legs.
"So let's begin with what I assume is your first question. How is this possible?" He asked and I nodded again in confirmation.
"I'm sure after my passing Madara may have mentioned the bond we share in attempt to keep you on his side." He stated.
"He said we shared more than blood but I assumed it was his last desperate attempt to get me to stay" I replied.
"He wasn't lying" He said and paused for a moment as he stared at the flame.
"The Uchiha have always been greatly devoted to love and friendship, which as you know are traits we attempt to hide. Yet, when the object of this affection is lost that love can instantaneously turn into hatred. This leaves us more inclined to do anything and everything in our power to achieve our goals, regardless of the consequences and repercussions."
"Which manifests in our Sharingan, I know the stories just as well as you do Itachi. Dad used to tell us all the time" I interrupted much to his annoyance.
"I know, but what you don't know is its relation to the light in the Uchiha darkness. You and Sasuke we're to young at the time." He explained and I fell silent urging him to continue.
"It was knowledge passed down for generations among the Uchiha and we waited for the light to be born, the child that could end the curse of the Uchiha and aid in the creation of peace. Initially they believed I was that child, and for a short time I was"
"A short time?" I questioned and he nodded.
"Part of being the light meant darkness could reside within you but not destroy you. An ability granted by the power of the ten-tailed beast." He said slowly.
"But there's only nine" I objected.
"Nine split from one by the original sage yes, but the beast it came from was powerful and ancient. Even after this division two parts remained. The physical and spiritual forms, the first a statue needing the power of the other beasts to unlock it and the second it's consciousness searching for a body that would host it till the two could be brought together again." He explained.
"So what does this have to do with you and me?" I asked.
"I was the body he chose." He replied.
"The first. I hosted him for years until I used the power he granted me, the dark chakra to end the clan. It angered him, but before he chose another host he left me with an illness as punishment for abusing his power"
"The illness we shared" I realized and he nodded.
"Yes, when he finally chose you he became more cautious. Choosing to be dormant this time but you managed to draw out his power regardless. So when you tried to force it he forced you to slow down until he felt you were ready."
"But this doesn't make any sense, I mean if Dad thought you were the light why did that change when I was born?" I asked.
"You were a child born into darkness" He started.
"Everything you've done and will do has made it you Rin. Loving father after his neglect, continuing to love me even after I murdered the clan, surviving the Akatsuki and Madara, surviving Orochimaru, awakening the sharingan, caring about the one tails, loving Sasuke after he tried to kill you and loving him even now"
"I don't..." I stopped when he gave me a look and sighed.
"Fine whatever, keep talking" I noticed him smirk slightly before he glanced at the fire.
"You are extremely powerful Rin, a true prodigy and your skills are well known and feared with good reason." He continued.
"But your greatest strength has always been your ability to love unconditionally" He said firmly and met my gaze.
"That's why it's you, it's why he chose you, it's why the Jubi now resides in you. He is the source of your dark chakra, the source of our connection and what makes you the light in the Uchiha darkness" I stared at him. Part of me wanted to laugh and the other kind of wanted to be sick.
"I-I'm a host?" I managed to stammer out and he nodded.
"Madara wanted to destroy what light you had in hopes of the dark chakra destroying you so he could in turn have the chance to host the Jubi. Once he realized the Jubi wouldn't chose him he aided in suppressing it, it's why he kidnapped you"
"S-So the torture? The hell he put me through?" I questioned.
"Yes, all for the Jubi. You've been nothing more than a vessel to Madara since the start" He admitted, anger in his voice.
"But he kidnapped me as a child, before the clan was killed. Y-You still hosted the beast" I objected and he sighed.
"As I previously mentioned when you were born everything changed. From day one Rin I could feel his power leaving slowly. You were different, in all ways and Madara took notice. He's watched you ever since" He explained slowly.
"Madara wanted to keep you close, so when the time came to reunite the Jubi's spirit with his physical form there would be less hassle. It's why they couldn't kill you for your insubordination and tried so hard to keep you around. They need you" He said firmly.
"S-So that's why Pein is here in the village, he's not just after Naruto he wants me too" I was speaking faster now as the panic started to rise in me.
"H-He's the one that takes over where my memory is blank, the one th-that nearly killed my comrades, the one that tried to kill Kakashi, the..." Itachi touched my arm and my sentence felt short. He took a deep breath and I mimicked his actions.
"Breath" He said calmly.
"I know this is a lot to take in, and I apologize for that but it's time you knew. You need to stay away from the Akatsuki. I fear with Sasuke on their side they will send him for you if Pein should fail"
"Pein will fail, he won't defeat Naruto" I said confidently.
"Then you must prepare to face Sasuke and Madara if the time comes" He replied and I followed his gaze to flickering flame.
"Now that you will be aware of the Jubi's presence you'll be able to access his power with more ease. Even your dark chakra and Sharingan will be stronger but still be wary" He explained.
"Did you trust him?" I asked.
"Within reason" He replied.
"He needs you to survive Rin but that doesn't change the fact that he wants out" He warned and I nodded slowly.
"What does this mean for you? O-Or what's left of you?" I asked and he continued to stare into the flames.
"It's not clear" He admitted.
"But I think it relies on you"
Pein
The problem with fighting Rin in this state was her lack of caring. She didn't care for the village or the villagers because she wasn't in control. I had little advantage against her unless I could get close enough to threaten her directly then the Jubi would continue to destroy to it's hearts content.
"You seem flustered" Rin said in her own voice.
"I didn't exactly expect you to make an appearance, this mission was to be a retrieval"
"And you're doing your job splendidly" She mocked. I winced as I managed to use my staff to block her katana. I felt the blow vibrate up my arms, and into my torso. I noticed her smirk as her black eyes stared into mine. There was no fear, just malice. I needed to use this, guide her deeper into the village, use her state to my advantage. I called for the Preta path to take Rin.
"So this is how you want to play it" Rin said as I took off leaving the Petra path behind with Rin. I went straight for the Hokage building leaving the battle behind as Rin followed the Preta path deeper into the village. I landed on the roof of the Hokage building, greeted by four ANBU and Tsunade.
"You are...?" Tsunade asked.
"It's been a long time Lady Tsunade, the last remaining member of the legendary sanin. We have a lot to discuss" I began.
"Wait, you're that child aren't you" She recalled.
"So you do remember me then" I noted.
"Y-You know him?" One her guards asked and she nodded.
"Who or what is he?" Another asked.
"A god who restores order" I replied.
"Naruto Uzumaki, where is he?" I demanded.
"No one knows" She replied.
"We now have almost all the jinchuriki, so the balance of power between the ninja villages is no longer maintained through the tailed beasts. It's meaningless to continue harbouring the nine-tails now" I explained.
"The rise of conflicts is imminent, we shall control the coming wars and if you co-operate with us we would not be opposed to aiding you. From the state of this village you ought to have a sense of strength by now" I continued.
"Don't underestimate the five Kage!" Tsunade argued as I closed my eyes. Rin still faced the Preta path, but even as she met it's gaze I knew she was looking at me.
"This path, Pein, absorbs chakra correct?" She taunted as she completed hand-signs.
"Don't worry, I'll give him what he wants" I flinched slightly as she stretched out her hands, the dark chakra building in her hands before shooting forwards. The Preta path formed a barrier around himself using it to absorb her jutsu but she continued feeding it. I was running out of time.
"Such arrogance" I shouted, opening my eyes as repelled chakra from my body. The guards and Tsunade slid a few paces back as I faced them.
"What you like to call peace has only brought violence upon us all" I continued speaking as I sent the Human Path towards the hospital.
"I cannot say that everything the Leaf did in the past was just or correct, but your actions here are unforgivable" Lady Tsunade spat.
"Be careful of what you say, this is your final warning from a god." I threatened.
"Where is Naruto?" I demanded.
"We will pour every ounce of power into bringing you down. I have nothing more to say except that your wrong about one thing. What you desire most you shall never have" She replied.
"If you think the shinobi of the hidden leaf can successfully protect Naruto from me..."
"No, Naruto is stronger than you know" She interrupted. I didn't respond as the Human Path managed to capture Lady Tsunade's second hand, a young medical shinobi that had preformed the autopsy on a deceased path.
"Mount Myoboku" I said out loud and noticed Tsunade's surprise as I summoned the other paths to retreat. One though, the Preta path that Rin had faced was corrupted. When I tried to look through his eyes there was nothing to see, just darkness. Rin had poured enough of her dark chakra into him to destroy another path. A quick exit would be in my best interest.
"Just one last thing" I said turning from Lady Tsunade.
"That chakra you're emitting through your feet, is it to counteract my jutsu? So my ability has become known to you has it? However, all is meaningless against overwhelming power. You great nations proved that over the years." I spat.
"You can't justify your actions" Lady Tsunade said firmly.
"Feel pain, contemplate pain, accept pain, know pain" I replied as I lifted into the air repeating the words, ignoring Lady Tsunade's calls.
"Those who do not know pain will never understand true peace!" I shouted down at her. She followed me through the village as I ascended farther into the air above the village. The Animal path had summoned what was left the others. Including Konan.
"The Preta and Asura path?" Konan asked.
"Rin" I replied through the Animal path.
"What's going on then?" Konan questioned.
"I'm going to use that jutsu" I answered through the Animal path.
"You can't that jutsu will significantly shorten your life!" Konan argued but the other paths fell as I prepared the power of the sixes. This was for Yahiko, and the pain that he suffered.
"All mighty push!"

Naruto
The feeling hadn't left. When I stopped training or meditated for too long I would get flashes of Rin, fighting. Her dark chakra overwhelming and her voice, well not her voice made my skin crawl. Lord Fukusaku on the other hand was insistent nothing was wrong, that Rin was fine. Rin's last mission before I left was to track Pein, what if she found him or worse, what if he found her?
"Lord Fukusaku, bad news!" A small voice took both of out attention and we quickly ceased sparring as we jumped towards a small toad.
"What's wrong?" He asked.
"One of our messengers has been killed" She replied.
"What happened?" Fukusaku asked again.
"I don't know, but his name disappeared from the register" She explained quickly.
"This doesn't bode well, has something happened to the Leaf village?" He asked.
"What?" I finally spoke.
"Naruto boy I have a really bad feeling" He admitted.
"W-Wait could this have something to do with my visions of Rin? I-Is it the Akatsuki?" I demanded.
"It's just lucky for us Ma went to father provisions and is near the Leaf. Ma can summon up quite a bunch of strong arms to defend the village including the two of us. So go get ready" He ordered and I nodded.
"Yes sir!"
