Lola is hovering next to Ki. She takes in his clean scent, his slick dark locks, his black button down that differs from the usual mint colored scrubs he wears.
She knows he can't see her, or hear her, or even touch her hand for that matter. She knows that those four words he just said are probably being spewed out thanks to angst and forlorn. She knows that he's really in love with Dr. Francesca Eve Letterman and nothing will ever stop that, not even her slightly insignificant death.
She knows that.
Still, even knowing all of that, she whispers to him,
"I really love you too."
