As I put the pink and white scarf around my neck that contrasted with my black shirt, Brannon barged into my room.
“Girl, what in da hell was that on you tube?” He cried.
“What are you talking about?” I asked, confused.
His reddish brown eyebrows shot up. “Oh, you’re not aware that you’re on the news and the video posted on you tube has over a million likes and views?!”
“Whaaa?! N-n-no way!” I said nervously. How did that video become so popular. “It was a dare! It was no big deal!”
He laughed. “No big deal? Girl, that was the funniest thing I’ve ever seen you do.” He shook his head. “Have you noticed something? Regardless of your disguise, you always famous for something.”
I rolled my eyes. “Why am I on the news?”
“You know how they are. At the end of all their broadcast, they show a popular video from the you tube world.” He explained and then realized something. “Oh snap. I wonder what your daddy and twin are gonna say about this.”
“They probably don’t even have time to watch this stuff.” I assured.
“We’ll see.” He said with a roll of his eyes and began walking towards the door. “Oh by the way, make sure to wear skinny jeans with those. It’ll look fabulous.”
I sighed heavily and did as he said. I gazed in the mirror with a grin. He was right. Always right…
“Breakfast!” I heard Bonnie call from the kitchen.
I sprinted out of my room immediately to my favorite place in the world. Well, not just mine. Every werewolf’s favorite. The kitchen.
“Slow down dear.” Bonnie said, laughing.
I grinned sheepishly and sat at the table with everyone.
“You look nice.” Chloe complimented with a sweet smile as she ate her pancakes.
“I’m surprised. Especially after what happened last night.” Tony said, glaring teasingly at me.
I raised my hands in fake surrender. “Don’t blame me. Chloe dared me!”
Tony shook his head. “Chloe…”
“You have to admit, it was pretty funny.” She beamed at her dad.
“Hunny, you would make a great backup singer. So would your brother and the guards.”
“Mom!” Chase grumbled. “Okay, lets head to school everyone.”
I hurriedly stuffed my face and stood up. I kissed Bonnie on the cheek and gave Tony a hug. “Bye guys!”
“Have a good day at school!” They both called out as we walked outside.
Chase pulled out of the driveway just as Chloe turned on the radio. The party anthem song came on and Chloe was instantly dancing in her seat. I did the robot and Chase gave me a weird look.
“Do all the royals do the robot?” He wondered.
I smacked his head. “No!”
“Ouch! I’m the one driving, remember that!” He glared at me through the rear view mirror. I just smirked.
Five minutes later, we were pulling into the parking lot. The school was pretty big, but nothing compared to the one I used to go to. Teenagers scattered the parking lot and Chase tried to get past them.
“Bloody humans.” He mumbled and I chuckled.
He honked the horn and some jumped in fright. Other people just waved at the car, laughing. I’m guessing they’re werewolves. Chase parked by some teenagers that were sitting on their cars and talking. I took a big whiff and smelled werewolf. This must be the pack.
I got out of the car and stretched my muscles. Chloe came to my side in an instant and Chase went to the pack.
The most wonderful smell entered my nose and I spotted Damien leaning against his car, watching everybody. I inhaled the vanilla scent and closed my eyes.
“You there V-Michelle?” Chloe asked.
I opened my eyes and cleared my throat nervously. “Um, sorry.”
I quickly opened my purse and pulled out my dark tinted sunglasses. I pulled off my glasses that are a disguise and replaced them with my sunglasses. There’s no way Damien can know about me being his mate. If he looks into my eyes, he would instantly know I’m his.
I walked with Chloe and the brothers to the pack and greeted them.
“Come and meet Damien, the Alpha.” Alex said, gesturing to Damien.
My palms began to sweat. “Hello Alpha Damien. It’s a pleasure to meet you. And I also want to thank you for letting me and my brothers stay on your land. It’s very kind of you.” My voice managed to not stutter, thanks to my strong wolf.
He looked me over with his beautiful blue eyes that I so badly wanted to gaze into with my own. He let out a shaky breath and shivered.
“You okay man?” Alex asked, coming to stand beside him.
“I’m fine.” Damien said in a deep husky voice. I just wanted to drown in it. I managed to not shiver like he did.
“It’s nice to meet you Michelle. Now, I’ll have to ask you a few questions.”
“Of course.” I smiled. “Later though. I have to go get my schedule.”
He nodded and smiled. Everyone in the pack gasped a little, but I ignored it. I was too lost in his smile. His kissable lips went perfect with his straight, white teeth. My mouth widened a little when I saw that when he smiles, he has little dimples. Why does this man have to be so damn perfect. It’s not fare.
A flick on my head interrupted me from checking my mate out.
“Ouch.” I smacked Justin and he chuckled. A few of the pack members chuckled and I turned to see that Damien was glaring at him.
“Alright, let’s go.” I told my brothers and we began walking into the office.
“Question.” Rob said. “Why are you wearing sunglasses?”
“Can’t a girl where sunglasses?!” I snapped.
He scratched the back of his head nervously. “It’s just…It’s cloudy out here and you’re wearing sunglasses.”
“Well, you three are going to have to get used to it because it looks like I’m going to be wearing them more often.”
The three of them glanced at each other, clearly confused, but I ignored it. We quickly got our schedules and headed to our first periods.
I have first period with Chase, so the brothers didn’t need to be in that class with me. However, each of them are in my others ones.
“Bye guys. See you later on today.” I waved and walked into my history class.
I handed my slip to the teacher and he looked up at me. “Ah, Michelle. It’s nice to have you in my class, but you’re going to have to take off those sunglasses. School policy.” He said.
I sighed. “Alright, I’ll take them off at my desk.”
He nodded and I took a seat in the back. I did the whole glasses exchange with a frown. Now I’ll have to hide my face whenever he is around.
“What’s up!” Chase exclaimed and sat beside me.
“I’m afraid he’ll see my eyes Chase.” I whispered.
He rubbed my back soothingly. “I know Michelle… I’m sorry.”
I shrugged and looked up at the class. “So tell me about these people…”
“Well.” He began and pointed to four girls surrounding a desk that were flirting shamelessly with guys. “Those are the girls that me and Chloe were telling you about. You can clearly see Kelly.”
I snorted an agreement as I spotted a blonde with a skirt that barely covered her coochie. Her fake boobs were popping out of her white tank top. She flipped her hair and literally shook her boobs in a guys face.
“Wow, do they not have respect for themselves?” I said, staring at all of them in disgust.
“Of course not.” Chase replied. “The girl beside her is Brittany. The second worst of the them. She is like Kelly’s puppet.”
I spotted Brittany flirting with one of the guys, but not as obvious and disturbing as Kelly. She was actually wearing a descent shirt, but it still showed a lot of cleavage. She wore a skirt that was a lot longer then Kelly’s. As she flirted with the guy, she glanced around her nervously with a frown. My eyes brows narrowed, trying to figure her out.
“I think there is something wrong with her.” I whispered to Chase.
Chase shook his head. “Nah, it’s probably nothing.”
“Okay, everyone.” Ms. Segars said, getting the class’s attention. “We have a new student today. Michelle Haley, please stand up and introduce yourself.”
I stood, faking a blush. “I’m Michelle and I moved here from… California.”
I sat back down and I could tell Chase was fighting a smile. I glared at him and he finally burst out laughing. I rolled my eyes and everyone started laughing as well, for no reason at all. Damn, these people laugh to much.
The teacher even started laughing and for a minute, I thought I was going to have to call the nut house. Finally, Ms. Segars stopped laughing and became serious.
“Everyone calm down.” As soon as he said that, my mate walked in with all his fame and glory.
I let my head fall so we could avoid eye contact. My wolf was howling at me to look and let him know. I ordered her to shut up. I love my wolf to death, but jeez. She gets annoying sometimes.
There was another row behind us and he took it. I felt his stares on my back and I couldn’t help but shiver this time.
We took notes through out all class period. Mr. Segars was the best teacher I’ve had yet. He really knows how to teach and he adds some funny jokes here and there.
Chase and I kept writing notes back and forth, talking about boring things. Every once in a while I heard very low growls, but figured it was just me hearing things. Maybe my wolf was messing with my head for payback.
Mr. Segars gave us a test and told me he wouldn’t count my grade since I was new here. He just wanted to see what I knew.
As I was half way done with my test, I wasn’t prepared to be hit with his strong, wonderful scent as he walked by to turn in his test. I tightened my hold on the table to keep me from attacking him. I wanted to jump his bones so bad.
“You okay?” Chase asked looking at me in worry.
I nodded and held my breath. “I’m good.” I whispered.
I breathed in and out carefully and I finally kept my cool. I never reacted like this to any man before.
As soon as first period ended, I was the first one to exit the room. I had to get away from the beautiful man. I heard Chase call my name, but I ignored it. I went to my locker, 134, which was next to Chloe’s.
“Hey girly!” Chloe greeted, putting in her combination. “How is your day?”
“Good.” I lied. “Yours?”
She smiled. “It’s been good so far.” She took out her books and slammed it shut. “You have a interview tonight at the local grocery store with Ben.”
I turned to her, confused. “Interview? I’m going to be working?”
She stepped closer to me so no one could hear what she was about to say. “If you’re going to play the role of a normal teenage werewolf, you have to do it perfectly.”
I sighed. “Whatever. At least I’ll be out of the house.”
She grinned. “Thought you would say that. I don’t know if I should be insulted or what?”
After two hours later, it was time for lunch. I followed Chloe outside where tables scattered around. I spotted Damien and some of his pack members sitting at one table while Alex sat at another with two people I haven’t met yet.
Chloe led me to the table that Alex was at and sat across from him. I decided to sit beside him.
“Hi.” I greeted happily.
“Hey there.” He said and motioned for me to look at the two people across from me. “This is Stephanie and James.”
Stephanie was very pretty. She has light blonde hair and a bit of freckles. Her deep brown eyes stared at me with so much kindness and I was thankful for that. Maybe I can make a few friends here.
James also has blonde hair, but it wasn’t as light as Stephanie’s. Instead of brown eyes, he has dark green ones.
He had one leg lifted behind Stephanie and she was leaning on it. His arm rested lazily around her shoulders and I could tell that they were in love.
“It’s nice to meet the both of you.” I smiled.
“Oh, wow. You’re very beautiful.” She stared at me for a long moment. “You look like someone I know-”
“No.” I waved a hand dismissively. “I’ve never been here before. But thank you.”
She shrugged and changed the subject. “Do you like it here?”
“It’s amazing. Nothing much to do though.” I replied.
“Well, maybe I could show you around.” Alex suggested, smiling down at me.
I blushed. “I would like that.”
“Nice.” His cheeks turned a light pink. “Give me your number and I can call you about the details.”
Chloe winked at me and Stephanie smiled.
As I gave him my number, I felt someone shooting glares at my back and couldn’t help but feel a bit guilty. Should I be going out with Alex when I already know who my mate is? There shouldn’t be any harm to it, right?

I opened up my laptop, going straight to Skype. I signed in quickly. I looked at the list of people that were logged on now, searching for a particular name. Before I could click on his name, he had already sent me an invitation to video chat. I accepted it and my dad’s face was soon on my screen.
“Hey daddy.” I said, smiling.
“Hello sweetheart.” He beamed at me. “How are you liking it over there?”
I frowned. “Dad, everyone is so sweet, but it’s nothing compared to home.”
He opened his mouth to say something, when I heard a noise from his end of the line. He stared at a little space on the screen with a blank face and soon, Shawn was on the other corner smiling like the idiot he is.
“Wazzzzuuuuuup?!” He cried in the voice from ‘The Scream.’
“Don’t do that.” I said and started laughing.
“Why did you send me a request when your in the other room Shawn?” Dad asked, rolling his eyes.
“I’m too lazy to get out of bed.” He said and chuckled. “So what’s up sista!”
“About to get ready for my interview.”
“Interview?” They both said.
“At a local grocery store. My guard is applying too, so don’t worry.”
“Speaking of guards…” Shawn said. “What was up with you dancing in the middle of the street, singing a inappropriate song with your bodyguards and Chloe?”
“What are you talking about?” Dad asked.
“Oh crap.” I muttered and he raised a brow. “I was dared to sing and dance. It was no big deal!”
“It might sound like it’s not a big deal, but it is.” Shawn said and I glared at him. “Guys were watching her swing her hips side to side and were yelling for her to get down and dirty with them.”
“What! What is the meaning of this?” Dad demanded, angrily. “Why would you do something like this?”
I scratched the back of my head nervously. “I was dared!”
“Well if I dared you to jump in front of an ice cream truck, would you?”
“Probably,” I replied, honestly.
“Victoria.” He shook his head. “This doesn’t sound like you.”
“It wasn’t a big deal dad. I promise. It’s not like I gave them a strip show!”
Shawn snorted and I glared harder at him. “Shut up Shawn! Why try and get me in trouble?!”
“Okay kids,” Dad put up his hands to silence us and we instantly did. “Victoria, no more dancing in the middle of the road. Shawn, don’t try and get your sister in trouble. She’s going through a lot right now.”
“Sorry.” We muttered.
“Have no fear, the Irish is here!” I heard Brannon from behind me and I spotted him in the screen posing.
“Hello Brannon.” Dad smiled, amusement in his eyes.
Brannon immediately stood up straight and came over to the screen, red as a tomato. “Um. Hello King Markus.”
“What did I tell you about calling me that? Call me Will or William.” Dad persisted. “I won’t bite, I promise.”
“Sorry king- I mean William.” He stuttered. “It’s nice to see you again, but if you’ll excuse us, I have to get her ready for her interview.”
“No problem Brannon.” He said and looked at me. “I love you baby girl. Call me later.”
“Me too! Or text me. Jeez, if you don’t start texting me, I’m going to start blowing up your phone until you reply back. Goodbye and I love you.” Alex said.
The screen went black on his corner.
“I love you too Dad. Bye.” I logged off and turned to Brannon.
“Okay, do whatever you want with me.”
The interview with Mr. Black wasn’t as bad as I thought it would be. He was an easy going man with a good sense of humor. He asked a few questions about our work experience and we were honest with him. He put us to work immediately.
