Bryan's POV
The light coming from the sun went through the slightly ajar window that awakened me.. I checked my watch and it was 9 in the morning.. I stood up from the couch where I laid the whole night.. Diane's mom was busy at work that we did not bother to call her and tell how Diane went last night.. I slowly climed upstairs, trying to avoid making too much noise.. Diane must still be asleep by now..
"gising ka na pala??"
her eyes were opened, staring at the ceiling.. I bet her head was throbbing like hell
"i'll prepare breakfast.."
i saw her swallowed and stared at me blankly
"last night ...."
yes, last night.. the night i couldn't forget.. i finally made it!!.. i did!!! i said i love her and that's all that matter to me now..
"did you?--did you really said that?? i mean... you said you..you-- *deep breath*"
"you'll know.."
i cut her and smiled .. not yet Diane.. i'll be more romantic this time..natuto na ako noh.. and i want this to be perfect.. i left her for a moment and made breakfast.. just bacon and eggs.. i bought the tray upstairs..
"Bryan Jr., is that true?? your daddy.. he.. he...ugh!"
i caught Diane talking to a... bear?? Bryan Jr.?? hahahah!! ou nga pala!! the one i gave her when we were in Bohol.. I came in and saw Dinae kissing ang hugging Bryan Jr. tightly.. and she looks so cute.. like a real mother and son, except that Bryan Jr. looks like a baby Polar Bear.. hahahah
"*clears throat* breakfast in bed.."
i smiled..
"kanina ka pa jan??"
Diane tried to act normal but her voice showed how awkward she felt..
"kain ka na.."
i placed the tray on her lap and sat at the side of her bed.. she took the utensils and was about to eat when she saw me
"uhm.. Bryan... kasi..."
"i know.. sige, tawagin mo na lang ako pag kailangan mo ako.."
a smile slowly crept on my face.. i'll give her time to eat..
"thanks..."
I went downstairs and saw Brandon with Diane's mom walked in
"ah.. hi tita!"
i greeted her with a kiss on the cheek
"hey! Bryan, nandito ka pala.. nakita ko kasi itong si Brandon sa labas.. parang nag-aalangang pumasok.. pinapasok ko na din at mainit sa labas.."
i answered with a smile in respect of her.. kung hinid naman siya dumating sa buhay namin, hindi na sana muntik mapahamak si Diane.. well, at some point, tama na din yun.. kasi dahil sa nangyari, nasabi ko na din kay Diane na mahal ko siya..
"oh pa'no, maiiwan ko na kayong dalawa.. antok na talaga ako and i have some work to do,,, bye!"
she walked passed Diane's room with slow, careful steps.. her shoulders were down, showing how exhausted she is.. i went to the kitchen and got a cold glass of water without paying attention to Brandon though i can feel his awkward stares..
"s-si Diane?"
"she's upstairs.."
i answered lamely, i did not even bother ro look up
"is hse okay??"
a pinch of guilt in his voice.. i sighed and finally looked at him
"buti na lang she's okay.. dahil kung hindi Brandon.. you're probably cold-bodied by now.."
i said those with no expressions on my face,, we accepted him and treated him like a friend but he only bought danger
"look, i'm sorry.. i don't know Nica would be like that.. i know her, i never tought she could afford to even think of that.. i don't want Dinae in danger.. you know how much I love her though i know she doesn't love me the way you do.."
he stood up from where he was sitting.. he walked passed through me, i followed him with my eyes
"Bryan, promise me... you'll love her and never let her get hurt.. *sigh* promise me.. you'll stay with her no matter what.. love her like you will never love anyone like her.."
i looked at him, confused.. why is he saying all this?? what is he thinking??
"Bryan.. hahayaan ko si diane. I'm letting go... basta mangako ka sakin hindi mo siya sasaktan.. dahil pag ginawa mo yun.. babawiin ko siya sa'yo..."
i know this is kinda corny or something because it's so unusual to have these drama talks between guys but i felt how sincere he was.. i smiled and held out my hand..
"pinapangako ko.. deal??"
he took my hand and shook it..
"deal!"
I tapped his shoulder once before we let go
Diane's POV
I tried to open my eyes..I'm still abed and my head is still throbbing.. i searched for my wall clock.. FUDGE!! Where is my wall clock?? i've been living her for years and as far as i could remember, i did not change anything but why is it so hard for me to locate my wall clock.?? ugh!!!
"ouch! ang sakit talaga ng ulo ko.. swear!!! i'm not drinking much next time..."
i closed my eyes again... *sigh* nasan na kaya si Bryan..?? kanina nandito lang yun ii... i tried to open my eyes again and there!!! in front of me is my wall clock!! sheeesh!!! how come i haven't notice it earlier???
"hala!! 5pm na pala! kaya naman pala wala na si Bryan... geeeezzz!!! i slept the whole day??? hayyyss!! pero ang sakit pa din ng ulo ko.. hindi lang dahil sa hang over.. pati na sa kakaisip kung totoo ba talaga yung mahala ako ni Bryan o panaginip lang yun!!"
i extended my arms to reach for my son
"haist! Bryan Jr....."
wait!!! where's Bryan Jr.?? OMG!!! my son is gone.. he's suppose to be here...
"Bryan Jr.."
i abruptly jumped out of bed
"Bryan Jr.!!!!"
i searched everywhere.. sa trash can,, sa cabinet,, sa C.r,, sa mga books.. as if naman pwedeng iipit dun ang bear diba??? understand me?? when i know it's imposible to be there yet i still tried to search.. ugh!! crazy!!!
"bryan Jr..!!!! nasan ka na ba kasi..."
i crawled under the bed, but i could not find it there
"Bryan Jr.!!!!"

"shoootx!!! nasan ang cellphone ko..??? ano ba yan?? pati cellphone di ko mahanap..!! what the heck is going on??!!"

I threw the pillow and tried to locate my phone under the pillos and the blanket but it';s not there,, the ringing stopped when I found my phone... above the side table.,. ugh!! antanga! di ko nakita kanina!!!
"what?? 20 missed calls?? 15 from Bryan?? ano kaya kailangan nito???"
i was about to put my phone back inside my bag when it rang again ..
RING...

Bryan calling....
hala!! anong sasabihin ko??? para akong tanga!! bigla na lang akong kinabahan.. though shaking.. i pressed my phone to my ear upon answering.. *clears throat*
"h-hello??.."
"makining kang mabuti sa mga sasabihin ko.. nasa akin ang anak mo.. sumunod ka sa gusto ko kung gusto mo pa siyang makita ulit.."
my brow knitted by the confusion it gave me..
"what??? baliw ka ba?? wrong number ka ata!! si Diane to uyyy!!! anak ka jan!! saktan kita!!??"
"I bearnapped Bryan Jr. and if you wan to see him again, do as I say.. at wag na wag kang magtangkang tumawag ng back up.."
"aaa... yun ba?? *chuckles* *clears throat* .. kailangan ko munang masigurado na nasayo nga ang anak ko.. at wag na wag mo siyang sasaktan,!!!"
this is hilarious!! i know he tried not to laugh but i guess, he's bad at it.. i heard him giggle on the other line..
"mamaya, 8pm.. my garden,, pag di ka pumunta, you will never see your son again!!! i'm serious!!!"
*end call*
i shook my head, smiling.. abnormal talaga si Bryan.. ano na naman kayang pakana ito??? psh!! talagang paghahandaan ko to.. siguraduhin niya lang na kikiligin ako at sayang ang effort kung hindi .. hahhaha!!
