Carah is different. She isn't sexy or hot. She's beautiful. Her pale blonde hair, light blue eyes, and super pale skin isn't comparable to the other girls. Carah notices she's different and she doesn't mind. But other people don't like that she's different. Her friends Elijah and Chloe could care less what people think of her. A lot of people are just jealous but in Carah's eyes it's nothing but hate. Life is hard for her and it always will be.
Hayes is Carah's neighbor and his little "gang" is her worst enemy. They pick out her flaws and leave her perfections alone. She always gets teased because of her past as well. But obviously being rich doesn't matter anymore because Carah has just about everything she could want. Except happiness.
