Nolan's POV
As soon as Ebony saw who it was that my grandmother brought, she quickly hid behind me on instinct. I could feel her nails start to dig into me.
Mate scared. Comfort mate.

"Grandma, why didn't you tell me that you were coming home?" I asked, keeping my grip on Ebony- who was shaking uncontrollably.
"I wanted it to be a surprise." She told me as she dragged Constinia behind her. "And lookie who I found."
"I see that, um, Ebony I'm going to take her to the cells, do you want to stay here?" I asked her.
"Yes."
"Okay, I'll be right back." I leaned over to kiss her before whispering in her ear. "You'll be fine little wolf, I won't be gone long, I'll see you in a little."
"Okie dokie." She released me before she was led into the house by Missy.
"Do you need our help?" Keith asked holding back Jay by the collar of his shirt.
"No, I should be fine- stay here, I'll bring my grandmother with me."
"Okay, if you're sure."
"I am." I brushed them off as I grabbed the handcuffs that kept Constinia confined to lead her to the car, while my grandmother followed.
Now, I wasn't going to harm the stupid witch just yet, I mean Nox is about ready to take control and beat the living daylights out of her. I just wanted to find the witch to question her about what she did to Ebony and why.
"So Nolan, what did you do for Ebony's birthday?" Grandma asked me as we started to drive the cells- which were about twenty minutes away.
"Nothing-"
"What do you mean that you did nothing for your wife's birthday? I mean you were so excited that you found your mate a year ago and now you are forgetting her birthday and not wanting to do anything for it?"
"I was going to take her out this weekend to celebrate it because we've been busy."
"Why didn't you say that?"
Do I tell my grandmother that I was before she cut me off? Or not? I am going to go with not because I do not want my head to be chewed out...again. "I'm sorry, I really should have told you that I was going to take Ebony out for her birthday."
"It's okay."
"So why did you it to be a surprise about you coming back?"
"Because I wanted it to be a surprise for Ebony that we got someone- still no luck in finding Kyle?"
"No, we've looked all around the territory and surrounding territories and we still can not find him."
"Well, atleast we have Consinitia."
"Yeah, I guess that's true." I paused. "So where did you find her at?"
"Hiding in the Himalayas."
Cocking my head to the side, I had to ask her. "Are you serious?" before turning around to look at the witch in the back seat- who I just realised had duct tape on her mouth.
"No, she was hiding out in the mountains though- I had Lilly make an appointment with her and I was the one that ended up going in there and got her myself." She said, Lilly was my grandmother's sister that she's always visiting.
"Ah, and how did you find her?"
"Asked around."
"What do you mean? You asked around? For what? A redheaded witch that could have changed her appearance?" I sarcastically asked.
"Actually that's right- so you shouldn't be so rude."
"Oh, I'm sorry."
"It's fine, so what are you going to do with Consinitia?" Grandma said as I parked the car and got the witch out of the car before my grandmother got out of it herself.
"I'm going to place her in the cells." I handed her to the head of the cells, which was Guy, so I knew that she wouldn't escape if she tried. Well that and because we placed her in a room that basically strips everyone's power when placed in there.
"Are we going to torture her?" Guy asked once we were out of Consitinita's earshot.
"No, we are going to question her first and if she doesn't comply we are going to torture her."
"Do you even know how to torture the witch?"
"Not really, I'll do some research tonight to find out what the best way to torture them without killing them."
"Do you want to have guards on her the entire time or?"
"Yes, having her with guards I think will be a good idea."
"Alright, I shall let the men know."
"Okay, I will be her back later tonight." I told him as I was leaving the cells.
"Nolan, you ready?" Grandma asked as I exited out into the sunlight.
"Yep, let's go back to Teddy's house."
"Are you missing your mate?"
"Yes, I have no idea how you are able to live without Grandpa." I answered her honestly. I really have no idea how my grandmother has been able to live without my grandfather for the past six or so years.
"I mean I'm not going to say that it's going to get easier but the pain becomes more bearable- which you know because of Ebony but a part of him will always be with me." She placed her hand on my cheek. Before smacking it. "Sorry, that was a little too much for me, I needed something that wasn't so serious or sentimental."
"Such a weirdo, my face really hurts now!"
"You'll get over it."
"That doesn't help me now."
"I really don't care, now come on lover boy- let's get you back to your mate before you start to lose your mind.
"I am not going to miss my mate if I am gone for a little more than an hour."
You might not but I miss my mate.
I know you do, she's the only thing that matters to you.

When I got back to Teddy's it was as if Ebony was waiting for me by the door. Well, actually she was because as soon as I walked in, I was attacked with a hug from Ebony.
"Hi to you too little wolf." I laughed before kissing the top of her head.
"Hi, are you ready to eat?"
"Mm-"
"I helped, I even made sure that everything was cooked through correctly." She beamed.
"Alrighty, if you promise that all the food is cooked through."
"It is Nolan! Ebony made sure- she made me use a thermometer." Teddy groaned as she came into foyer area. "I don't know why? I mean I am a pretty good cook."
"Of course you are babe." Keith showed up- probably because his mate was in distress. As he was calming her down, he started to shake his head as if 'no she's not.
"So are we just going to stand around or are we going to eat?" Grandma made her entrance, before she started to push us out of the room to be able to go eat. I wanted to laugh but with as much as she was pushing, we nearly was
Ebony's POV
"Nolan?" I asked as I walked into the office. I still have bad feelings when I am in here but it's slowly going away when I am in here with him, but I can't forget what happened in here.
"Yes little wolf?" He asked as he pulled me onto his lap before he started to kiss the side of my neck.
"What are you doing?"
"I'm just looking up what to do about Consintina." He paused. "So did you decide on what you wanted to do for your birthday?"
"No, not yet."
"Well once you figure it out let me know- unless you want me to surprise you again?"
"Yes! Can you please do that?" I honestly have no idea why Nolan keeps asking me what I want to do, I have no idea and I don't want to say something that would piss him off because he did not want to do it.
"Alrighty, come on, let's go to bed." He picked me up over his shoulder. "We've had an extremely long day and we need go to sleep."
"Yes we do." I smirked knowing what he meant.
