My eyes are still puffy and red.
I'm too broken to go to school..
I don't want to see his face ever again.
Mom is still out of town now and won't be home until next week.
Maybe I'll just skip school today.

I slowly sat up from my bed and rubbed my eye.
"Argh...I better wash up." I stood up and walked towards my bathroom.
I approached the sink and opened the faucet,looking at myself at the mirror.
Irene, I look like a mess
I groaned and washed my face with the water.
It's so cold...
Let's stop the game. Me and Katelyn are back together so there's no point
in continuing anymore
I paused as the pain from last night came back, tears formed in my eyes.
"But why...h-how..." I whimpered as I gripped the sink's side.

I wiped the tears that were threatening to fall out and took a deep breath.

I groaned as I sat up, with no energy to go to school.

"Laurence?" The door opened as my sister, Cadenza came in.
"Cadenza." I replied,emotionlessly,not bothering to look at her.
She sighed and sat beside me,concern in her eyes.
"Um...Garroth...told me everything." She started as I stared at the sheets,not making a sound.
Right...
After fixing the stuff on the roof I immediately went to the bar, drowining myself in alcohol, attempting to forget all my problems.
I remembered I was too drunk to even head home by myself, so I accidentally called Garroth.
"Laurence? It's freaking eleven in the evening why the fudge did you call me?"
"Hey Blondie! I f*cking screwed up! She cried! I cried! We all cried! Hehehe...Wanna join the celebration? I'm drowning myself in alcohol.. Did I tell you I finished five while bottles by myself? Hahahaha!!!"
"Ugh...where are you?"

"Yeah sure whatever. Why can't you just date the boy?" I groaned as I ran a hand through my hair.
"Laurence I'm serious, I know you're 18 now but you need to make wise decisions for yourself..." She shook her head as she took a pill and a glass of water from the side.
"Drink this. It will lessen your pain or hangover and stuff."
But it won't lessen the pain of my broken heart
I nodded and took the pills,drinking the water.
"That tasted bad.." I scrunched my nose and gagged.
"It's your fault anyways.." She rolled her eyes.
She then placed her hand on my hair,stroking it. I paused as my eyes widened.
This is new but weird...
"Um..what are you doing...?" I furrowed my eyebrows and looked at her.
She smiled and shrugged just stroking my hair.
This is embarrassing...
"It's weird Cadenz."
"Whatever..." She stopped stroking my hair and sighed.
"If you love her why let her get away? It was stupid of you Laurence. You're always messing up." She shook her head as she looked at the covers.
"I...I...Ugh..." I buried my face in my hands and closed my eyes.
"I-it's because... Katelyn...I feel bad for her..I mean, it's just until graduation right? I didn't expect Aphmau to love me back anyway..."
I felt a hand hit the back of my head as I flinched.
"Cadenza!" I exclaimed as I looked at her. She's glaring at me.
Oh boy...
"Okay, so what's worse? Pretending to love someone you don't even love out of pity? Or hurting the person you love who loves you back because you're a stupid jerk?" She hissed,looking at me in disbelief.
"Answer? Both! You'll end up hurting both of them! Get that through your brain! If you even have one.." She said,mumbling the last part.
"What?!?!" I glared at her.
"Just...Follow what your heart tells you to do...I'll..get going...make your mind." She stood up and quietly went out the door.
She's right...
I took a deep breath and got out of my bed.

I immediately took my bag and ran out of the classroom to my locker.
What. Happened. To. My. Aphmau.
I opened my locker and shoved my books inside,not caring if they are going to be crumpled.
"Why such a hurry Kate?"
I looked to my side and saw Aaron, Laurence's friend.
"Aphmau didn't come to school so I'm worried! I have to drop by her house-"
"Ask your boyfriend about it." He said,shrugging.
Laurence?
"What does he have to do with Aphmau's absence?" I slowly closed my locker and faced Aaron.
He smirked and walked away. Peering over hus shoulder, he replied.
"Follow me and I'll tell you."
This jerk better not do anything or I'll beat him up to a pulp.
"I won't do anything." He smiled,hands in the air.
His smile is so...warm.
"Wh-whatever." I stuttered,heat creeping up my cheeks.
Wait what? I'm blushing?

I groaned and walked by his side.

"He agreed to be my boyfriend out of pity and broke Aphmau's heart?!?! That jerk!" I hissed,kicking the grass.

"Yeah, Aphmau is like my little sister so I really treasure her. How about Laurence to you?" I asked,tilting my head.
"He's um...we're not in good terms right now." Aaron said,looking away.

"Okay...I'll break up with him" I said,nonchalantly as I took my phone.
"That easily?!?!" Aaron exclaimed.
"Yup! It's not like he'll get hurt or anything." I shrugged as Aaron sighed and pinched the bridge of his nose.
'Hey Laurence. Let's break up. I hate you. Go back to Aph and tell her you love her you dork.'
"And...send!" I hit the send button as Aaron looked at me,raising a brow.
"What?"
He rolled his eyes and leaned back to the tree behind us.
"Nothing..."
I leaned back to the tree and looked at the sky.

"Hahaah!!" We bursted out laughing.

As Aphmau was sprawled on her couch her phone rang, signaling a text.
"Hmm...Katelyn?" She furrowed her eyebrows and opened the text.
'Aphmau let's meet by the park at the benches'
"Why so sudden..." Aphmau wondered but nonetheless stood up and changed.
I wonder what she's going to tell me...
She thought as she fixed her hair. She took a deep breath,wore her white Vans and walked towards the park.

Meanwhile as Laurence ate a piece of caramel popcorn,his phone rang too.
"Katelyn? What does she want.." Laurence grumbled as he read the text
Hey Laurence. Let's break up. I hate you. Go back to Aph and tell her you love her you dork.
Laurence furrowed his eyebrows in confusion.
She broke up with me through text...
But he didn't have the energy to complain.
He was too heartbroken to care.
Then his phone rang again.
"Ugh...What does she w-"
Aaron? He thought as he opened the text and read it.
Let's meet by the park benches. I have something to tell you.

But you love someone else..so I can't stop that..." Tears were running down my face like crazy as the crowd keeps getting bigger.
Laurence was just looking at me,tears forming in his eyes.
"What?!?" I yelled as I wiped my tears away.

I saw an alleyway and hid there so Laurence will not find me.

"Aph!!" Laurence ran past by the alleyway I was in,worry, present in his face.
I cried silently and sat down (butt not touching the ground) burying my face in my hands.

My body tensed up at the creepy voice.

Another voice said as I shivered in fear.

I just sat there in fear of what was going to happen.

I shrieked as two hands held me and forced me to stand up as another hand covered my mouth with a cloth.

There were 5 creepy men checking me out.
I just cried in fear.
This is my fate huh...
"Let's go sell her to the boss." The guy holding me said.
"Nah.." The guy I asusumed was the leader shook his head,nearing me.
"Let's have a little fun with her before that.." He creepily said as he held my chin.
"You'll have the best time of your life Darling."

Suddenly the man was knocked out from my sight as he laid down on the ground,blood coming out of his nose.
"Stay away from her." The voice growled.
My heart skipped a beat as I turned my head to the voice.
Laurence..
I cried as I saw him,his eyes filled with rage.
"You prick! Get him boys!" The leader yelled as the four men let me go amd headed towards Laurence.
"You mess with our leader, you mess with us."
"I can take you guys down in no time." Laurence smirked as he looked at me.
"Just watch me babe." He winked.
"Now is not the time to be flirting kid." The man said as he flung his fist attempting to hit Laurence.
He dodged it and punched the man instead, as hr man was gaining consciousness Laurence kicked him in the knee hard and punched his nape,with the man falling down in the process.
"Who's next-"
"Laurence!" I shrieked as the others punched him.
He managed to stand back up amd dodge all their attacks, attempting to punch them too.
"Run Aph!"
"What? I won't leave you here-"
"I said Run! Listen to me and trust me for once!" He yelled as he punched one of the men.
"O....okay! I'll call the police!" He nodded and smiled at me as I smiled back and ran.
Just in time to see him being punched at the temple. He staggered back and coughed out blood.
"Laure-"
"Run!!"
I cried and nodded as I ran away amd when I was in a good distance I called the police.
They told me to calm down and that they'll go there. I nodded and ended the call.
Run!!
He...wanted me to be safe...
But..he coughed out blood...
*ambulance sound here*
I turned my head to the ambulance as it was headed towards the same direction I was from..
Huh..

Laurence!
I ran as fast as I could to the alleyway.
I hope he's okay...
I can't lose him now..
He can't be critically injured right...
I saw the ambulance stop by the alleyway as my heart raced.
Laurence..
I ran faster, ignoring the yells of some people and as I approached the ambulance.
My eyes widened as Laurence was being put on the stretcher, bloody and bruised.
No...
This is all my fault..
I ran to the person holding the phone with worry in his eyes.
"Wh-what happened?" I asked,shakily.
"The poor boy got beaten up by 4 men, he managed to knock them all put but then the leader had a pocket knife and stabbed him. I was just in time to see what happened. I yelled and the leader ran away in fear as the boy collapsed, unconscious. I then called the ambulance." He shook his head and sighed.
Tears rolled down my face as the ambulance drove away with Laurence inside.
Guilty of what happened, I went home and cried.
Never knowing what will happen.

The next day I went to school and everyone wondered what happened to Laurence. There were gossips about him here and there but I didn't care.
Katelyn became sad and asked me where he was but I just cried every time she would do that.
So she just let me be. She helped me through this along with Zane,Garroth,Dante,Travis and Aaron.
But...
Laurence never came to school.
Days passed...
Weeks...
Then I realized...
It was the last time I'll ever get to see him again.
