She was born from the slums of a space-faring vessel, where the walls are a monotonous hum of metal slate and acidic thruster fuel. Jinny Shumway had earned her place through sly intellect and overbearing attention. Growing up as the Commander's daughter meant that there was no room for error, failure was never an option and she always sought to destroy.
When the news spread across the stations like wildfire on a midsummer's day, nobody believed it. Soon, legend grew into myth and Jinny would find herself spending the rest of her days staring out at the eternal blackness of space with its flickering pinpricks of light that held dying stars and universes of unknown expectations. She had accepted her fate, allowing her soul and mind to decay in a prison of her own making.
Salvation came in the form of a drop-ship that sent the 100 and Jinny to Earth—a planet that they had abandoned because humanity had once soaked it in radiation. What they found instead was an ecosystem of exhilarating sights, sweet smells of green verdure and a deadly game of survival.
