I said I wasn't going to take a break from writing for a bit until someone brought me cake from County Market. My Uncle Gene delivered! :D The perks of family get togethers. Thank you Uncle Gene!
The plan was to go North Bound and explore the rest of the country, to see what it looked like. Kurt had stories, but Killian wanted to see it for himself.
Abby didn't want to go back up North. She had just come from there and saw the damage. She wanted to go to another country. She doubted anything would be different, but there hopefully would be other people so they could try restarting Human Life. Travelling was practically free now, especially with having so many people on their team who could operate ships and planes. Why not explore the world? Exploring was the light in the darkness.
Abby told Killian she already saw what was North of them and it was exactly the same. She told him she wanted to go see the world. He had just shrugged. He'd seen the other countries. Not the beautiful parts, the ugly parts that war destroyed. Would they be worse now with the 'Bies taking over?
Killian, still being only Second In Command, got the final word. Even though Abby was the Leader, she still really liked him and wanted to make him happy. She remained optimistic and thought about how their life would be after all of the 'Bies were gone.
The group didn't get very far. There were so many attacks in Alabama,especially in this tiny little community! It was the worst Abby had seen so far! The 'Bies were even more vicious here too. Maybe it just seemed that way, because they were running out of Meat. Abby swallowed nervously, thinking of what could come next.
After this last fight they lost many people. Lots of people. Killian saw some one he knew. He stared at them. How did he know them? He didn't realize who they were until it was too late. Jackie's family was still around. Killian felt bad for telling her to give up on them that first night. He now wished he had a way to warn her about what they were now. He just knew he couldn't kill them. The last thing he heard besides their growls was Abby screaming his name.
Fucking Zombies! Abby sliced and diced all of them. Every single last one that she saw. They killed the man she loved. She watched every single fucker burn. After mourning and burying Killian and everyone else who died, the group headed South. Abby was in control of the reigns now.
