Chapter Eighteen- Rock Lee.
MIZUKEN P.O.V
I stood in the middle of Sakura and Sasuke, for once, Sakura wasn't fawning over Sasuke. I can tell she's really worried about the exams and I want to comfort her but I just can't seem to bring myself to do it.
I adjusted my sword on my back because it's brushing up against my leg and it's starting to really piss me off. "Hey Sakura-chan!! Mizu-chan!!" Naruto yelled running up to us, almost tripping over his own feet.
"Yeah.. Good morning" Sakura narvously laughed, then went on expaining to Naruto about where to sign his name while I stood with Sasuke. He stared at Sakura, curiously.
"Is someone getting a crush?" I teased, elbowing him in the ribs, giggling. He glared at me. "Alright, alright. I won't tell" I then winked at him. He hardened his glare and began walking inside. I guess he's not over yesterday.
After pushing our way through a bunch of random ninjas we came to a door where there were two Chuunin, disguised as Gennin and using a genjutsu to make room 201 look like 301.
I watched as one of them pushed down a kid wearing a bright green spandex suit with an odd bowl hair cut and extremely thick eyebrows.
"Ha!! You plan on taking the Chuunin exams with that?! You should quit now!" One of them laughed. "You're just a kid" He added.
"Please let us through" A girl with two buns on her head begged. One of the Chuunin hit her, causing her to fall back.
"Horrible.." One of the Gennins in the crowd gasped.
"That's enough" I hissed, pushing through the crowd to get to the front. "Didn't your mother ever tell you not to hit girls?" I snapped.
"Now, remove your disguises. You're actually Chuunin. I'm not stupid and neither is my team." Sasuke came up and stood beside me.
"And remove this surrounding you created with genjutsu. I'm going to the third floor" Sasuke added. People around us started whispering.
"So you noticed.." One of the guys smirked. Sasuke took this time to make Sakura feel better.
"Sakura, you must have noticed first right? Your analytically ability and genjutsu know how is the most improved on our team" He complemented, making Sakura blush.
"Of course, I noticed a while ago because this is the second floor" She stated. I saw Sasuke smirk. I elbowed him again and winked. He grunted and looked away causing me to giggle.
"Not bad.. but all you did was see through it!" He then ran at Sasuke, leg up ready to kick. Sasuke went to kick him away but green spandex guy got in the way.
"So fast.." I murmured.
He's wearing training weights, I can tell by the way he moves. I used to wear them before I left Orochimaru. Even with the weights on he's fast, probably faster than me.
"Not as weak as you look, I see" I smirked.
"Hey!" His white eyed teammate yelled, taking the attention away from Sasuke and the Chuunin. "What happened to the plan? You're the one who said we shouldn't draw attention to ourselves"
"Well..." Green spandex guy blushed and turned to Sakura. I could see his girl team mate shake her head muttering "Oh no.."
"Hi. My name is Rock Lee. So yours is Sakura..Lets go out together! I'll protect you til I die!!" He did a thumbs up and a wink and a smile at the same time!
I couldn't help but burst out laughing. "No way.. You're lame.." She said, backing away a little.
"That wasn't very nice Sakura" I said as I put my arm around Lee's shoulders. "At least he has courage!" I chuckled. He looked at me and his eyes sparkled.
"Who are you?" He asked, grinning. "Kendensetsu Mizuken" I held my hand out. Instead he pulled me into a hug. "How about you, will you go out with me?"
"I'm sorry Lee, I have another guy in mind" I lied. "But I'm sure that Sakura will say yes if you keep asking" I whispered to him. He nodded.
"Hey you?" I looked back over to the white eyed guy talking to Sasuke. "What's your name?"
"When you want to learn someones name, you should give yours first" Sasuke replied, cooly.
"You're a rookie, right? How old are you?"
"I don't have to answer you"
"Damn it, Sasuke! Just tell him your name and age so we can go!" I complained. They both glared at me.
"Mizuken, Naruto, Sasuke-kun! Let's go!" Sakura cheered, grabbing Naruto and Sasuke while I skipped along behind.
"Hey guy with the dark eyes!!" Lee called. We all looked at him and I sighed. "What is it.?" Sasuke asked.
"Will you fight me right here?!"
"A fight right now?"Sasuke asked. "Yes." with that Lee jumped down and landed on the ground crouched. I can't sense any chakra coming off him.
"My name is Rock Lee" He introduced himself. "When you want to learn a person's name you introduce yourself first. Right, Uchiha Sasuke?"
"So you know?"
"I want to fight you. I want to test my techniques against an offspring of the genius ninja clan. Plus.." He looked at Sakura and winked.
"EWWW! Those lower eye lashes are weird! Hair style is lame.. And those thick eye brows.." She started shaking.
"You're an angel" He blew a heart at Sakura who decided to play limbo with it and smacked her head on the ground. I couldn't help but laugh.
"Not helping Mizuken!" She yelled. "Hey, don't throw those weird things! I barely escaped with my life!!" She then yelled at Lee.
"You don't have to be that mean.." Lee pouted.
"Alright, you guys fight. I'm going to go wait at the exam doors. Meet you there!" I laughed and ran off.
After waiting a while with Kakashi, talking about frogs, I decided to go check on my team. When I got there I saw a turtle, a strange man doing a weird pose.. like really weird! He looks a lot like Lee. And I also saw a beat up Sasuke.
"Geez! You guys are the epitome of adolescence!" He yelled. "Okay then, you know what? I came back at a weird time so.." I began to walk away but Sasuke grabbed my arm. "You will not leave me with these.. things!" He hissed, looking at Lee and weird pose guy.
"He's got even thicker eye brows!" Naruto yelled.
"Super thick.." Sasuke shuddered. "Super faggy.." Sakura started shaking her head. "Those are incredible eye brows. I've never seen that before!" Naruto whispered way too loud.
"I don't know, I recon I could rock a pair of those.." I cocked my head to the side, picturing myself with super thick eye brows. "So youthful!" Older Lee yelled, hearts forming in his eyes.
"Okay, maybe not!" I sighed.
"Hey! Stop insulting Gai sensei!" Lee yelled. "Shut up!! All these freaks keep appearing!! How the hell are we supposed to act?!" Naruto demanded.
"What did you..?!"
"Lee!!"
"Oh.. yes?"
" You fool!!" Gai yelled and punched Lee across the face. They then started mumbling and crying and hugging..
"I wanna join!!" I yelled and jumped into the hug.
We broke apart and I skipped back to my team, grinning like an idiot. They all looked at me and sweat dropped.
Then Lee and Gai started talking about a punishment.
"Hey"Gai adressed us, catching my attention. "How's Kakashi doing?"
"You know Kakashi?" Sasuke asked. "Know him?" Gai then disappeared and reappeared behind us. I didn't react when he spoke next but my team did.
"People refer to us as 'eternal rivals'" My team turned around with wide eyes, including Sasuke. I sighed but slowly turned around. "50 wins, 49 losses. I'm stronger than Kakashi" Gai grinned and did the whole, thumb up, smile and wink thing.
"Well, enjoy your talk. I'm leaving" I then POOFED away before Sasuke could stop me.
I appeared in front of Kakashi who jumped in surprise then landed on his ass. I couldn't help but burst out laughing.
"Yeah, yeah, hilarious. Why are you back this time?" He asked with a sigh as he got up off the ground and dusted himself off.
"Four words. Eyebrows. Spandex. Eternal rival"
"Gai?" He asked and I nodded. "I had you at eyebrows." He said. "I think they're more like caterpillars that decided to live on his face... Does he brush them?" I asked, playing with Ryo.
"I actually have no idea." Kakashi said.
The three of them walked towards us and I leaned on the door, silently hoping it dosen't get opened.
"Oh so, Sakura came too" Kakashi spoke. "Now we can properly take the exam" Wait, what does he mean? "What do you mean?" Sakura and I spoke at the same time, earning me a glare from Sakura. "The truth is that this test can only be taken by teams of three," I cleared my throat trying to get Kakashi's attention. "I'll get to you in a minute." He looked directly at me as I walked over to join my team.
"But you said taking this test was an individual choice. You lied to us?" Sakura said. "If I told you the trust Naruto or Sasuke would have pressured you to take the exam. I'm not to sure about Mizuken though, she dosen't really look like she wants to be here.." He looked over to me and my bored expression. He's right, I want to go and cut down some trees, maybe do a bounty. That would be fun. Not some exam where the possibility to kill someone is extremely low.
"Even if you didn't want to, if Sasuke had asked you, you would. Even though it wasn't in your heart. For the sake of Sasuke and well, Naruto and Mizuken too." Kakashi explained.
"So if only Sasuke-kun, Naruto and Mizuken had shown up..?" Sakura asked. "The exam would have ended here, they would not get to go any further. But you came of your own will, you guys are my proud team. Now go!" He gave us a closed eye smile and they walked through the doors to the first exam with Naruto and Sakura cheering, Sasuke smirking and me sighing.
Before I could go any further, Kakashi stopped me. "Mizuken, you're in a team of your own. I wasn't able to get you into a team of four or else the rules woudl of been broken. I know you're powerful enough on your own but watch yourself, I don't have a good feeling about the exams this year. I want you safe" He whispered to me. "Well, when did you get so protective Kakashi?" I asked him, smirking. "You remind me of the daughter I never had and with the way I'm going.." He trailed off.
"Don't worry Kakashi, you remind me of my father." I turned away with a smile and began walking before stopping and turning around again. "And Kakashi, I don't really need to know about your non existing sex life" With that I winked and walked in the door, leaving behind a sweat dropping Kakashi.
