Not having friends can come from not trying, where you do not put the effort into making friends. This may come because of nervous anxiety or other things like that. You may not make friends because of a bold personality trait, that in the friend groups you wish to be in, is disliked. You may just plain out be weird. I'm not going to say that everyone can find someone, because there will be someone who can't. Without someone finding them, they will not have the ability to find the friends they are looking for. Friendship is necessary for development in the early stages of life. You learn how to interact with those around you, in a way that is not centered around the dislike and love of a family. Every family dislikes each other profusely, while also loving each other more than any other thing in the world. Yet still for some this falls into fiction. Some do not love each other, and some fall into hatred of their siblings. the worst thing in the world to see, is two siblings fighting with hatred.
