Prologue
I don't know where I am. When I try to struggle it hurts. My whole body aches. I know something is here and I want to open my eyes but I'm afraid. A soft voice is coming into my head, the voice is beautiful like angels singing and warms my heart like tea on a cold winter day. “I know you can hear me.” it says, “Do not try to open your eyes or move. Just stay perfectly still and listen to my voice.
“You have been murdered.” I don't remember it that way. I only remember fragments of what really happened, I was falling and I saw leaves and blue skies.
“Variations of the Seven Deadly Sins have spread across my world. You, my child, have become personally victimized by all of them.” What does he mean? Or she. I can't tell. I want to see this person, but the light is too bright. “Pride, Wrath, Greed, Sloth, Gluttony, Lust, and Envy. You know what they have done to you, and you are furious.” I am furious. I've always been furious, never have I felt anything more than I feel anger now.
“I am sending you back as a messenger. A messenger to my world to show them what these sins lead to. Death.” I will kill them, the seven who murdered me. I'm no longer afraid of anything, I am ambitious. “I will lend you my power: the power of immortality, telekinesis, teleportation, and erudition. Do you understand?”
“Yes.” Although I don't remember saying it, I heard it come out of my own mouth.
“You have seven days to set this right. Seven sins, seven day. After this is over, I will personally forgive you of your sins and you will live happily here with me.” The voice is getting farther away now, I struggle to get closer, like I need it. But I'm falling again. I reach out to try and touch it as I fall farther and farther.
