Sunday's had never been my favourite day of the week, but this one was perfect. I woke up to the smell of bacon and Vans arms around me, a reminder that he was now my boyfriend.
Even my outrageous hangover couldn't wipe the smile off my face.
"How do you like your eggs in the morning?" Bondy sang loudly in the kitchen.
Van jolted slightly in his sleep, pulling me closer into him.
"I like mine bloody quiet." Benji groaned irritably from the floor. "Although scrambled will do."
I tried not to laugh too much but the slight vibrations were enough to wake Van up. I couldn't help but watch with admiration as his long eyelashes fluttered open, revealing his somewhat mesmerising blue eyes.
"Good morning, love." He smiled sleepily.
A grin formed on my lips after hearing his raspy morning voice.
"I love you both to bits but please, shut up." Bob muttered from beside Benji.
Van chuckled, throwing a stray pillow at the pair which resulted in middle fingers being raised and 'fuck you's ' being exchanged.
"I'm gonna go for a smoke." Van sighed as he stretched out his arms and legs.
Nodding, I let him up and pulled the covers back around myself. I could've fallen back asleep had I not been jumped on by an excited looking Ade and Harper.
"Harper jus' told me everything, Jesus I'm so happy!" Ade squealed.
Laughter escaped my lips as the pair engulfed me in one of the tightest hugs in this world, "I still can't believe it."
I talked to the girls some more about what happened, Harper was able to help me out since her and Larry had their ears to the door for the entire thing.
Not too long later Bondy called out saying that breakfast was ready. Everyone was in pretty good spirits for practically dying with their hangovers.
"You're warm." Van mumbled into my neck as he wrapped his arms around my waist from behind.
"And you're freezing." I shivered as his cold lips made contact with my skin.
He chuckled lightly before pulling back and grabbing some food.
Everyone sat around the dining table whilst Ade stood up, hitting her fork off chocolate milkshake carton.
"Right lids, this weekend has been a good one. These upcoming months are gonna be hectic with exams and shit but we all gotta promise to continue being like we are now." She smiled.
"Happy and hungover?" Bondy winked.
"Exactly."
Everything at that moment felt so good and bliss. Of course life could never be fully perfect but these guys helped that.
I couldn't help but think how things would be had I not moved here. My life in Liverpool always seemed like the best of what I could ever get, between married parents and a content life I always felt that it couldn't get better. Although in Llandudno I found friendships that are nothing compared to those back in Liverpool, I couldn't imagine my life without any one of them not present.
Especially Van.
On my first day, had he not strolled in late and be appointed as my escort to form room, I couldn't even think about where I would be right now.
"Cheers to us."
Breakfast was quickly digested and everyone began to get ready for going home. Harper and I were in Ade's room, changing into clean clothes and messing around.
"Aw mate I can't wait for school tomorrow." Harper grinned as she slid on her knee socks.
I raised a brow at her change of attitude towards school on Mondays to which she giggled, "I dunno why. Just think things are gonna be better than usual." She shrugged.
Laughing, I slipped on my black boots and stood up. My arms reached for my hairbrush as I put my hair up in a messy ponytail, pulling small strands out to add to the effect.
We picked up our stuff and returned downstairs in time for everyone getting ready to leave.
"Oi El, you forgot your phone!" Ade yelled from her room as we were about to walk out the door.
I patted my back pocket only to find the phone was indeed not there, I've always been the worst for forgetting things.
After I got my phone everyone loaded themselves into the lads van. Harper and I were getting a ride home with the boys so had to endure a cramped journey.
"Alright darling?" Van smiled as he pulled me down into his lap.
"I'm good." I smiled, gently pecking him on the lips and turning around with flushed cheeks .
I went to unlock my phone only to find that the thing had died. It then hit me that Van and I sent a message to my dad last night and my stomach turned at the idea of any reply.
The van dropped off Ade, then Benji, then Bob and finally Larry, Van and myself.
"See ya later bonds!" Van chuckled as he closed the door.
With that, Bondy beeped the horn and drove off.
"Me mam better 'ave a Sunday roast on." Larry sighed as we came up to his street.
He hugged Van and I before turning and entering his own house.
My heart picked up its pace as Van entwined his fingers with my own when we proceeded to walk. It was adorable and I needed to get used to it.
"Wanna come in for a cuppa?" Van smiled as we came up to the B&B.
"I'd love to but I have a ton of homework due for tomorrow that I 'avent done." I pouted.
He frowned slightly but washed it away, "alright love. See you tomorrow morning, yeah?"
"See you in the morning." I smirked, wrapping my arms around his neck and placing a kiss on his lips.
He smiled, wrapping his arms around my waist.
"Text me if your dad replies." Van eyed me, his tone was seriously but full of care.
"I will."
He pecked my lips once more before letting go. I reluctantly grabbed my stuff and ran across the road. I waved from my front door before closing it behind me.
"El is that you?" My mums voice echoed from the living room.
"Mhmm." I smiled, setting my stuff down in the hall and joining her.
She immediately snapped her head in my direction with a smirk on her lips. Someone obviously was looking out the window.
"So you and Van?" She winked.
The smug look on her face made my cheeks go crimson as I tried to cover it with my hands.
"Shush you." I sighed, turning on my heels and leaving the room.
"Oi, I happen to think it's adorable!" She yelled after me making me even more embarrassed.
Me and my flushed cheeks headed up to my room. I immediately put my phone on charge before flopping down onto my bed.
Minutes that felt like hours went by as I sat in silence, waiting for my screen to light up and show me if my dad still cared even the slightest. When the apple logo finally appeared, my heart felt like it was doing a hundred miles per hour.
Silence engulfed my bedroom as my lock screen came up and missed notifications flooded my phone. I nervously picked it up and unlocked it, heading straight to my messages.
He had messaged me back.
At least that what I thought. However when I opened the message and scanned through it, my heart sank.
How was I going to tell my mum this? I couldn't even properly tell myself.
