"Hello?"
The word I heard as soon as I picked up my phone.
"Hello Mark, that was just a-". I was about to finish my sentence but he cut me out.
"He's dead". No, this can't be. He can't be dead. What kind of joke is this?
"Stop joking around, where's Mark?" I said confidently.
"Do you think I'm joking?". His voice raised as he spit those words, those words I did't expect to hear; words that I didn't want to hear.
"W-what do you mean?" I asked with my eyes full of tears. Is he really gone?
"Do I still need to explain what I said?!". This time, he was really mad. His voice was shaking. He was trying not to cry. I don't know who he was, but all I might know is that he was Mark's friend.
I hung up. This can't be. This is all my fault, my fault.
