"Oh, Akashi-kun came here early!" The council's secretary said with her usual cheery smile on her face.

"He's always early. It's creepy how precise he is" The GA manager replied with her usual disgusted tone and high-and-mighty attitude.

"The Prez will be absent today," the Treasurer informed.

"Why is that? Ditching responsibilities, again?" Akashi asked

"Do you know the problem with crime happening around this area, especially within the school range? We discussed it yesterday"

"Yes. Our students are being threatened for money by a bunch of outsiders" Akashi replied.

"The Prez is trying to handle it by herself in the sixth route from here."

"What!? That woman..." Akashi growled as he got out of his seat and walked out the door.

"What is she doing? Does she seriously think that she can take on those people without a plan? Impossible!" He thought to himself.

*****

As it got dark, he arrived at the sixth route to see you hiding behind a lamppost as you wrote in a small notebook.

He hid behind a lamppost that was across the sidewalk from yours, "That was a bold move to take action alone, without a plan"

"Hello Kohai-kun. I was getting bored from waiting here for 45 minutes" You replied with a calm smile.

"Thanks for saving me the time, but I'll be taking over now" He demanded.

"Huh? I'll be the one capturing the culprits" You said looking away from him.

"I guess this is where our rivalry starts. I might be taking your position quite shortly" He replied.

"What are you saying? You took action after me, right? Were you willing to put more of our schoolmates under danger for any longer than it already has?" You asked in a dark manner.

"It's such a foolish move to fight criminals on impulse. You'll just get hurt" He stated.

You smiled suspiciously as he tensed up a bit, "This is what your weakness is, Kohai-kun. You lack experience. The thing is, I already know who the criminals are; I fought them last year as the vice president" You explained as you got up from your hiding spot.

Akashi stared at you with a poker face until you grinned, "I already took care of them at the fifth route"

". . . . What?" He skeptically and stiffly walked around the corner and saw three bruised guys tied up together as the rest of the council watched over them.

"You tricked us, President" The GA manager said.

You popped up from behind the corner with a sneaky/cat-like expression, "My bad"

"Unbelievable...." Akashi thought; he felt like such a prawn.

"You're clever, 'President.' I'm not going to lose to you" He declared.

"It seems like you didn't have a plan either. You're a fool, just like me" You smirked.

His cheeks turned red from embarrassment, "Don't mess with me. Neither of you are aware of my power"

"By the way, don't take this as a defeat. They were so weak, a little brat in the fifth grade could fight them! Ahaha!" You exclaimed comically.

"Akashi looks so lost because his rival is acting like such an idiot" the Treasurer scoffed.

"For someone like him, she's very hard to react to" the GA manager said.

You walked past Akashi on your way out, "You can't be the president without being fundamentally aware of your environment. It's what every freshman lacks. You might be able to gain that experience faster than the others because I sense something special within you, Kohai-kun" You slickly stated

He slightly gasped as his cheeks turned red while getting a shivering feeling down his spine and something warm in his chest. He never felt something like that. But it's the feeling of one's barrier being broken down; therefore, leaving them feeling completely exposed and inferior.

He felt absolutely sickened by the feeling of inferiority, and he plans to gain back his superiority from you by any means.

🌙 Extended Ending:🌙

As Akashi was walking with the group, he instantly thought of something; "President,' can I ask you something?"

"Hm?"

"What are their names?" He asked with an Indifferent expression while pointing at the secretary, GA manager and treasurer. They all winced.

"I've been wondering about it. It was never mentioned"

"It's because this god damn author is such a half-ass" The treasurer scoffed.

"Then, let's give you names! Mmm, Treasurer-kun looks like a Bartholomelo"

"I was leaning more towards Gertrude" Akashi put his hand on his chin.

"Guys! Be serious about naming us! We're going to be stuck with it for the rest of our lives!" The GA manager yelled.

"Ara~, I'm going to regret this..." The secretary smiled depressingly.

"Should we just use common names to be safe?" You asked

"I don't care! As long as it isn't ridiculous like 'Robertonand"

"Alright, you will be Tsunari" Akashi told the GA manager, "Mainly because it has 'Tsun' in there"

"Tsun?!" She exclaimed.

"I see where you're going with this" You smirked, "Secretary-chan, your name will be Derenoa. It refers to your 'deredere' nature" You explained.

"Not bad!" She cheered.

"Treasurer-kun's will be easy. The beginning will be 'Ero" You grinned, "because I see him read a lot of eroge manga."

"End it with 'mu" Akashi added.

"Eromu?"

"Eromu"

While you are climbing up the ladder to the roof-podium, Aomine suddenly appeared from the top and looked down at you.

"I haven't seen you in weeks. Care to explain?" He asked.

"Sorry, 'Ace'-kun. Things has been hectic lately, so I came to vist you" You replied as you climbed higher.

"Are you going to keep calling me 'Ace-kun?' It's weird and it doesn't fit me"

"You're the ace of your team, why would it be weird?"

Aomine got out of the way as you sat on the edge. "Did the coach start remembering to get his stuff together lately or something?"

"Hahah, there's that. But something else happened"

FLASHBACK

Coach Harasawa was grading the chemistry worksheets in his apartment until he heard knocking on his door. "Who could be up at this hour" He opened the door to see you waiting outside, "(Y/N)?!"

"Dad, help..." You sniffed.

"What happened?" He asked as he led you inside.

"It's mom again. She's been giving me a lot of bullshit and it's too much sometimes" You stammered, "She sets up unrealistic expectations for me to meet and she gets all angry when I can't do it. I tried so hard..."

He patted your head reassuringly, "I'll always be proud of you, and I've always been. But I ask of you to be strong; in which I know that you can be. I'm sorry that I can't do anything to stop her"

"I guess--"

A loud banging on the door interrupted you mid-sentence, "(Y/N)! I know you're there!" Your mom yelled from the other side of the door.

"Holy sh...."

With no hesitation, your dad opened the door and confronted her, "Why don't you learn how to be a considerate and eligible parent before making your daughter run away"

"Like you're the one to talk, alcoholic."

"I would never hurt her, mentally or physically either way. What kind of person do you want her to be? An insecure self-blamer?"

Your mom winced and tried to ignore his statement, "(Y/N), get over here" She said calmly. You looked away.

"Are you really going to turn away from your own mother?" She asked in shock.

You hated the fact that you felt guilty. In addition, you hated this kind of situation where you had to choose whose side to be on.

"Will you hear me out if I come with you?" You asked. She nodded in a serious manner. You know that your mom isn't a manipulative witch that would trick or lie to you, so you returned a nod.

Afterwards, you had a honest discussion with your mom on the way back to Miyagi from Tokyo. Since then, she has been easier on you, but grounded you from ever going back to Tokyo to see your dad again.

FLASHBACK OVER

You didn't want to tell Aomine such a personal and long story, so you shortened it up. "My mom grounded me from traveling to Tokyo again. I managed to sneak out just this once"

"Overprotective parents are the worst" he grunted as he lied down on the floor.

"Yeah, true....." You replied rather sadly as you looked at the view of Touou academy.

He noticed and stretched his arm out towards you, but caught himself before actually reaching you, "What am I doing? I barely even know her"

"Ahah, I'm sure that she'll p-probably loosen that grip on you one day" He stammered.

You can tell how hard he's trying to comfort you, as well as how nervous he is. For some reason, it made you lighten up a bit, "Thanks, I feel more reassured" You smiled.

The gym at your school was being inspected for the day, so you decided to play streeball by yourself to kill time.

After shooting a three pointer, the ball bounced off the ground as Kise appeared and caught it, "it isn't fun to play by yourself" He said.

"Copycat-kun, good evening" You greeted, "What are you doing here?"

"My photoshoot was taking place here in Tokyo. I didn't expect to see the courts all empty" He replied.

"Huh. . ." You slightly tilted your head.

"Let's see, was it something like this?" Kise tried to shoot the three pointer in the same stance that you did, but the ball bounced off the hoop.

"Eh?! That's not it?!" He whined.

"That's no good, Copycat-kun; here. . ." You walked closer to him and helped him fix his stance as you started explaining to him how it's supposed to be.

He blushed by how close you were to him, as you were basically touching his biceps, that he wasn't even listening to you.

"Now try it" You said,

"O-Oh! Right. . ." He shot the ball and it went through the hoop without touching the ring.

"Woah!" He cheered.

"Why am I giving salt to my rival? Haha, I kind of regret it now" You chuckled calmly.

His eyes eyes widened in awe but snapped out of it before he you'd notice, "O-Oh...(L/N)-chan, I have to go now!" He panicked while furiously blushing.

"So you're going to run away after stealing my move again? You're cruel" You pouted.

"It's not like that!! I owe you one, I promise!" He said defensively.

You smiled, "Alright then, I'll see you later"

"Y-Yeah" Kise walked away from the court while covering his mouth, trying to get ahold of himself.

Recap:

"No, you're right. If I'm really part of the team, then I have to open up soon. I was just being paranoid," You replied. "Listen, can I really trust you for this?" You asked.

His eyes widened in surprise as he nodded determinedly, "Yes!"

*****

Kuroko was very genuine about his words and you decided to take the chance.

"Have you ever heard of 'Tenguhime?" You asked.

"Yes, I have. What about her?"

Kuroko remembered Tenguhime, also known as the "Goblin Princess." It's not the nicest thing to call a young girl, but that's what the region named her. She was a strong delinquent who was often challenged by older thugs in physical fights, in which she always won with her martial arts. She was isolated from society and became a huge mystery to locals.

He heard many rumors about her; how she took on several thugs at once and defeated them all. She was one of the biggest gossip topics in Teiko.

"Problematic/angry teenage girl who engaged in fights every day, that was me" You said with a sad smile.

"Ah--!" Kuroko's mouth hung open in shock.
"That's not possible! I can't picture you as someone like her."

You slightly chuckled, "I changed my appearance when I entered high school. I wanted to grow out of my old lifestyle somehow. Back then, I rejected anyone who tried to talk to me, including your senpais. I don't know why they tried so hard so get me to open up and they ended up getting involved in my problems. But, they actually helped me solve them. So, I decided to return the favor and be the manager of the team" You explained to the shocked Kuroko.

"I thought that I should change my personality to someone who seems harmless towards others. I didn't want anyone to feel unsafe around me and see as as Tenguhime. This was the only way, I hope you understand that..." You added.

"You got it all wrong, (L/N)-san," He replied. "You aren't a harm to society at all, and I know that you're not truly a bad person" He defensively replied.

"O-Oi, you don't know how many people I've hurt in the past..." You replied with a shocked and worried expression.

"But, I remembered that day when I first encountered you. You saved me at the park near the convenience store during the night. I was cornered by delinquents who wanted my wallet and you appeared to defend me"

"I forgot that happened"

"You also saved my friend, Momoi-san, from falling onto the street when the rails broke from the bridge. I didn't know how, but you managed to catch her in midair"

"I think I remember that one clearly. I didn't know that she had ties with you" You explained as Kuroko nodded depressingly since you didn't remember his.

"Even so, that doesn't justify the fact that I use to live that way."

"I think that you're actually a gentle and kind person, and I've seen that in action before. Perhaps those past years was caused by your frustration?" He asked.

You tensed up a bit before looking down with a sad look; the last thing you wanted was to involve a sweet person like Kuroko into your troublesome life.

"It's alright, (L/N)-san. You don't have to act anymore. If it's too hard to do that, you can start with being yourself in front of the team. There's no way that they'll look at you differently. You're our manager" He smiled

"Y-You mean that?"

"Of course I do."

Many emotions were going through your head, and those feelings overwhelmed you.

"(L/N)-san?!" Kuroko asked in concern.

Your cheeks were red as endless tears streamed down from your half-opened eyes, "I-I'm glad..." You stuttered out.

He walked towards you and held onto your arm, "Don't bottle up your feelings like that anymore. I'll always lend you my shoulder for something to cry on"

You pulled Kuroko closer and stuffed your face into his shoulder, "I wanted to be given permission. Thank you, Kuroko" You cried.

"Anytime. And if someone has a problem with this, tell us and we'll go deal with them"

"Hey, Shin-chan, let's go shopping for some new gears!" Takao suggested while talking on the phone with Midorima.

"Sure, I need to get new shoes anyways" He replied.

"Let's take (L/N)-chan with us"

"Wait, Takao, I have the worst compatibility with (Your Horoscope Sign/Other Cancers) today. Please don't"

"What?? It'll be alright! Don't worry"

"TAKAO PLEASE, I don't have the lucky item to protect me today"

"Hmm, fine fine."

****

Midorima was in the sportswear center, looking through the new seasonal Jordans for the upcoming InterHigh.

"Sup!" Takao greeted.

"You're ten minutes late" Midorima replied,

"Oopsies. I didn't feel that motivated today because  (L/N)-chan isn't here" He sighed.

"I'm on edge today because I can't find today's lucky item!" Midorima yelled.

"I can never understand why you are so obsessed with Oha-Asa horoscopes. It's a waste of money and a tedious lifestyle" Takao grunted.

"You shouldn't underestimate the horoscopes" Midorima said in a comically dark tone which made Takao shiver.

"Also, you're literally obsessed with (L/N)" He added.

"What can I say, I'm totally in love with her. She's my heroine after all" Takao lazily shrugged with a laid back expression.

Midorima scoffed and rolled his eyes in disbelief, "There's no way that a guy like him could ever take love seriously"

"What's the lucky item anyways?"

"A 'special' bright red bow, and the horoscope says that it shouldn't be store bought. I don't have a f***ing preowned 'special' bow and I'm never going to get one, which is making me frustrated" He gritted his teeth.

"I just hope that this day will be over--"

"Takao-kun!" You called from a few yards away.

"AHH!" Midorima rapidly walked backwards.

"(L/N)-chan~~! What's up?" Takao greeted as you walked closer.

"I needed to get a new combat stick. I didn't really like using a bat, so I'm trying out a hockey stick instead" You replied and looked behind Takao to see Midorima against the shoe shelves in horror.

"You're with Tsunderima-kun?" You asked

"Yup!!"

"Takao, go die!"

*****

"Do you think that blue Jordans will fit me the best, or black?" Takao chatted a bunch of nonsense with you down the sidewalk as Midorima walked ten feet behind you two.

"Hm, blue wouldn't fit well with orange; so black will suit you" You smiled.

"That's our (L/N)-chan! Always hitting up with the honesty!" He winked jokingly.

"What is with that? You're weird Takao" You hopelessly sighed and looked back at Midorima, "Is he having a bad day?"

"Yeah. He's so superstitious over horoscopes and he's angry about not getting the lucky item"

"I feel bad leaving him like that. Come on Takao!" You grabbed his hand and dragged him.

"Hold up! I think that it's better to leave him alone--!"

"Tsunderima-kun, why the long face?" You asked.

He tensed up and immediately walked backwards to avoid you, "S-Sorry (L/N), you need to stay away from me. I-I have the worst compatibility with your sign today and bad things will happen"

"What? Seriously?"

"Please stay two meters away from me"

"That's ridiculous" you started walking towards him as he kept walking backwards.

"OhmYgoD--don't challenge Oha Asa's horoscopes. The whole universe is going to attack us!" He walked into a wall as you came closer to him.

"Don't be afraid of the superstitions, because I'll protect you. . ." You gave him a determined smile.

At that point, everything went silent for him as he focused on you with a shocked expression before your eyes quickly averted to the side, making him follow your gaze by a few seconds behind.

Your instincts made you notice the rapid baseball heading towards Midorima, so you stopped it with the new hockey stick you bought as it shot far into the distance.

He finally knew how Takao felt at that day, when you saved him. A truly majestic sight indeed. However, this situation wasn't as extreme.

"Are you two alright?!" Takao asked.

"Holy shit. . .That was a close call. I got a little bit conceited there. If it makes you feel comfortable, I'll help you find the lucky item" You said.

"It's a bright red bow that's supposed to be 'extremely special.' So it can't be store bought" He explained while looking away from you.

"A bright red bow? Hold on" You rummaged through your pocket. "Tsunderima-kun, hold out your wrist"

"What are you going to do?" He asked, a bit skeptical.

"It's fine, just do it!" You replied reassuringly as he held his wrist out. You pulled out a bright red ribbon and tied it around his wrist and into a bow.

He slightly gasped in surprise as he looked at his wrist.
"It's just a ribbon that I use to tie up my hair. I don't know if it'll work" You replied.

"Test it out!!" Takao pushed you onto Midorima.

You prepared your stick as you looked around and nothing happened.

"Huh"

"No way." He said.

"You satisfied now, Shin-chan?" Takao asked.

"Really, thank you (L/N). I feel more relaxed now"

"Of course. You can keep the bow if you want" You grinned.

Midorima felt something burning in his chest as he felt a little bit weak when he saw you. He tried to ignore it, but it was there during the whole day.

Himuro forcefully dragged Murasakibara towards your cafe.

"Muro-chin! I already made my point clear yesterday that I refuse to go back to this place!" Murasakibara grunted.

"It's fine if you don't want to come here anymore, but at least apologize to (L/N)-chan and the others for what you said!" Himuro yelled

"That was really uncalled for" Okamura added.

"Why are you guys coming?!" Murasakibara yelled.

"Food" Liu replied.

"This is also Saaya-san's first time coming to the cafe"

"I'm just curious! What's so special about that store anyways?" She asked.

"(L/N) is an amazing cook and she gives us discounts" Fukui replied.

"She's also a close friend of Himuro" Okamura added.

"We're here" The Yosen team walked into the cafe and was greeted by the usual Motokawa team.

"Atsushi, come on" Himuro nudged him.

Murasakibara hesitantly cleared his throat "Uhm...Sorry for the thing I said yesterday, I didn't mean it"

It was silent for a second until Fukui gave the Motokawa team 'the look.'

"O-OH, it's nothing~~~!"
"We weren't affected by it or anything PSSSH"
"I almost thought that you were joking!"

You huffed out a sigh and karate-chopped your captain and vice captain in the head for being flaky.

"Don't worry about it, Murasaki-kun. I won't force you to come here if you're uncomfortable with it" You grinned.

"Hold on, lady; "Murasaki-kun" is my nickname for him!" Saaya stepped up and stood in front of you.

You looked down at the shorter and younger girl in slight surprise, "Oh, hey. Are you part of their team?"

"In fact, I'm their first-year manager! Anyways, choose another nickname for Murasaki-kun! I went through so much trouble picking out that name, so only I can call him that!" She demanded.

"Uh, okay?" You scanned Murasakibara head to toe which made him wince a little, "I'll call him 'Nihyaku' then"

"What kind of name is that--not like I care..." Murasakibara muttered.

"Nihyaku' refers to your height, 200 centimeters" You smiled.

"Haah..." He replied unsurely, "why does it have to be related to my height?"

"Your height is a rare gift and I'd like to remind you of it" You replied casually.

"It's cute. What's cuter will be your sad face when I beat you in another food war!!" Himuro declared.

*****

Himuro sulked in the corner, "What the hell. You're so unbelievable. . . ."

"Maybe next time" Your captain said to Himuro.

Fukui, Liu and Okamura were stuffing their faces with food.

You leaned against the wall with a relaxed smile while occasionally chuckling as you watched them.

Murasakibara stared at you as he questions his feelings towards the Motokawa team. Whenever he goes to the cafe, he feels warm and relaxed for some reason. Every time he tries to avoid the place, he wounds up there anyways.

No place has ever gave off such an atmosphere, and he wondered what it was.

Okay, this is the last chapter of the 'build-up.' So the next chapter will be much shorter, just like how normal scenario-stories are supposed to be.

By the way, if you read closely, the reader for each miracle has slightly different personalites. In Akashi's plot; the reader is laid-back, cunning, and shrewd. The reader in Aomine's plot is mature and a bit serious. Kise's is a little bit emotionless and casual. Kuroko's is considerate and gentle. Midorima's is free-spirited and protective. And Mukkun's is artistic and a bit rebelious.

I don't wanna say too much, but I'm just giving you some ideas and it's not going to spoil anything; I swear ;)

Anyways, I hope you enjoyed this chapter!
