[Yuri POV]
Were running in the hallway as fast as we can. Di pa rin ako makapaniwala na nangyayari to sa totoong buhay. Halos masuka na ako sa nakikita ko sa ibaba ng building. Marami ng studyante at teachers ang infected. Pinagfifiestahan nila ang mga tumatakas na mga studyante at teachers na di pa infected. They were running for their lives but the walkers are overwhelming. There's no escape for them.
"Sa likod ng CR na yan ang fire exit!"
-Gino
"Glad were here."

"Damn its lock! Tabi muna kayo sisirain ko ang padlock. Ok baseball bat this is your first assignment. Break the lock!"

Blag! Blag! Blag! Blag! Gino hit the lock continuously until it broke.
"Finally, lets go" -Gino

Nauna si Gino bumaba tapos pinasunod ko sakanya si Mich. Habang bumababa kami ay lalo akong kinakabahan at nararamdaman ko na ang matinding takot pero kailangan kung maging matapang ngayon. Di ako pwede magpadala sa pagiging nerbyoso ko. I swore to Mich na po-protektahan ko sya. Kahit pa andito na si Gino kailangan pa rin ako. I have to be strong for them. For our survival.
Nakaabot na kami ng second floor pero hanggang dito nalang namin magagamit ang fire exit. We have to use the regular stair from here. The stair that leads to the undeads. This is it. The time to fight.
Hinigpitan ko ang pagkakahawak ko sa baseball bat at huminga ng malalim. Gino leads the way to the hallway, gaya ng dati nasa gitna pa rin si Mich at ako ang nagbabantay sa likod si Gino naman ang sa harap.
He's very quite and alert. We're walking slowly na halos wala kaming ginagawang ingay even our footsteps are in minamal noise. Minamasdan ang paligid. Were relying on our senses and moving forward at the same time.
"Damn this is mess" -Gino whispered
Puro dugo ang hallway at... Agh! Ang langsa ng amoy. Pati mga classrooms ay halos pininturahan na rin ng dugo. Pero wala kaming nakikitang bangkay. As expected after they died they rose again as zombies.
"W-wala na ata dito ang mga zombies baka nasa baba na sila."

"I wouldn't be so sure." -Gino
"Someone's in the classroom!" -Yuri
"Saan?" -Mich
"Sa sahig, nakahandusay sa ilalim ng teachers table."

"Crap! She moved!"

"Baka buhay pa sya, tulungan natin!"

"Wait Yu stop!!!" -Gino
Maybe she's still fine siguro nagtago sya sa ilalim ng mesa para maligtas ang sarili nya. I rushed towards her with hope that she still alive. Im scared but there's something in me that I can't just leave her there. Di ko pinakinggan si Gino, derederetso lang ako til I reached her.

She breath deeply, trying to talk but no word is comming out from her lips. She grab my shoulder. Shes saying something but I couldn't understand it.

Then I realized na humihigpit na ang pagkakahawak nya sakin. Masakit... Masakit na. Pahigpit pa ng pahigpit. Binitawan ko na sya dahil sinimulan na kung kabahan. The next thing I knew was sinakmal nya na ko....
"Yuuuuu!!!! -Mich
"Damn!!! Broooo!!! -Gino
Pero napigilan ko sya. Hinawakan ko ang ulo nya at tinutulak palayo. Masyado syang malakas. I can't hold it any longer. Kakaiba ang lakas nya. Hindi mo maiisip na babae sya. Im in the middle of letting go then suddenly....
"Bogssshhh!"
"Ahhhhhhhhhh" -Mich
Gino hit her head causing the skull to shatter and the blood scatter all over my body. Mich can't take it anymore thats why she just closed her eyes and scream loudly.
"I told you to stop!!!" -Gino
"Rawrrrrs...Rawwwrrrr"
"We should go! their coming! Yu, Mich, tara na!" -Gino
Gino is talking to me but I can't understand any of his words. I feel dizzy. All I can see is blood. Pumasok ulit sa utak ko yung moment na pinalo ni Gino ang ulo nung babae at nawasak sa harap ko ang bungo nya.
Arg. ugh! Ugh!
I can't take it. Nasuka na ako. Bumaliktad na ang sikmura ko.
"Yu!Yu! Ano ba?! Get a hold of your self! Kailangan na nating umalis!" -Gino
"Y-yu tara na.." -Mich
Medyo nahimasmasan na ko kaya naglakad na kami. Pero wala pa rin ako sa sarili ko. Naglalakad ako na lutang ang isip.

Sa harap namin ay may mga nakaabang ng zombies at palapit na saamin ang iba. Gino stop walking and prepare his grip on the baseball bat.
"I got this. I'll hit them once they get near. Derederetso lang tayo. Malapit na to sa hagdan pababa sa first floor. We just need a little push" -Gino
I couldn't hear any voices. Patuloy lang ako sa paglakad at walang pakialam.

Gino is doing his best para magkaroon kami ng daan. Kapag within 1 meter na ang zombies ay hahampasin nya ito sa ulo gamit ang buong lakas nya.

Were moving forward smoothly dahil pa isa-isa lang naman ang mga zombies. Then suddenly theres a loud noise on our back came from a broken door.
Zombies...
Madami sila. Its like a whole class. Galing sila sa isang classroom na nilampasan namin. Di nahalata ni gino na may zombies sa loob dahil nakasara ang pinto pero pagkalampas namin ay nawasak na ito ng mga zombies at nagsilabasan na sila. Theres no escape, were sorrounded.
Their coming to us like a hungry shark. Craving for our fresh. Sa harap naman ay may ma ilan-ilang pang zombies but they're just enough to make Gino busy thats why he cannot come to help me. Mich tears started to fall. Siguro iniisip nya na ito na ang katapusan namin. Na hanggan dito na lang kami.

Lutang pa rin ako. Di ko napapansin ang mga nangyayari. Im just walking forward carelessly.
"Yu take care of the back. Wag kang kabahan. Just hit whoever comes near di mo sila kailangang ubusin. Protect the back while we continue moving forward." -Gino
Parang wala lang akong narinig at derederetso lang ako sa paglakad.
"Yu its coming to you." -Gino

"Damn! Stupid zombies! Di ako pwedeng umalis dito sa pwesto ko!" -Gino

I bumped into Mich kaya bumalik ang senses ko. Tumingin ako sa likod at nagulat ako sa dami ng zombies na nakita ko. They are my schoolmates. Kahit pa zombies na sila tao pa rin naman sila dati diba? I can't do it. I can't hurt them! Moreover, I can't kill them.
May isa ng palapit sakin his rushing to me. His hungry. Really hungry. Nanginginig ang buong katawan ko. Kahit pilitin kung gumalaw ay di ako maka kilos. I can't do it. Hes comming like a crazy dog, swelling for my flesh but I can't move.

Someone hug me. I oppened my eyes. Again someone saved me. But this time its not Gino. Its Mich.
Niyakap nya ko ng mahigpit. Nababasa ang balikat ko ng tubig mula sa mga mata nya. Her tears are falling as she says...
"Sabi mo po-protektahan mo ko! Sabi mo wag ako matakot dahil ikaw ang bahala sakin! I am very scared Yu. I don't know to think but im holding onto your words na po-protektahan mo ko kaya nagpapakatatag ako! Tapos.. t-tapos... Hahayaan mo nalang na mamatay ka ng di lumalaban!!! You made a promise at yung promise na yun ang pinanghahawakan ko! Yu protect me please. Im really scared."
Basang-basa na ang likod ko ng luha ni Mich at ramdam ko rin ang panginginig ng buong katawan nya. I feel guilty ng marinig ko yun mula kay Mich. I have no idea na takot na takot na pala sya. Im stupid! A selfish coward! I almost forgot the promise I swore to Mich. But Mich words lighten me up. That I must fight this nightmare!

Blood? Blood spout all over the floor..
And its from.. Its from Mich shoulder. Everything went into slow motion when I saw Mich blood. She was bitten by a god damn zombie.

I feel heavy because Mich is hugging me, she fell into the ground and fainted.

I can't act yet Mich weight won't let me move. Nadadaganan nya ko kaya hindi ako makakilos but suddenly the zombie fell in the floor too. Tinamaan sya sa ulo ng arrow. Someone helped us. But who?

Hinawakan ko ng mahigpit ang baseball bat ko. At tinakbo ko ang pinaka malapit na zombie sakin.

Thanks bro but I can handle this. Yumuko ako at hinawakan ko sa balakang ang zombie na nasa likod ko then I knock him upside down. Tumonog ang leeg nito, proof that it was broken, pero di pa yun sapat kaya hinampas ko pa sya sa ulo.

I push towards the zombies in the classroom. Hit there heads with all I've got. Left, right, back. Dodge front, dodge right.

Patuloy lang ako sa pag hampas sa ulo nila. I feel invincible. Magkakahalong emosyon ang nararamdaman ko. I scared of this creeps, Im guilty for Mich, Im angry because one of them bit Mich, and the weirdest is I feel pleasure killing them.

I almost got them all. Just I one more. Tumakbo ako palapit sa natitirang zombie nung malapit na ako ay tumalon ako at hinampas ko sya ng malakas sa noo.

Thats all of them. Naubos na rin ni Gino ang mga zombies sa harap. Clear na ang hallway at wala na kung nasesense na papalapit.

Tumakbo ako agad palapit kay Mich at ganun din ang ginawa ni Gino. When I reach her I grab her. Nagkamalay na ulit sya. Hinubad ko ang polo ko at pinunit ng pahaba upang gawing bandage para sa sugat ni mich. She's hurt. I can see it in her eyes.
"Ok lang ako Yu." -Mich
"Kailangan nating mapatigil ang pagdudugo. Anong nararamdaman mo?" -Yu
"Once you've bitten you'll become one of them diba?" -Gino
"No! Can't you see it? She's still fine!" -Yu
"Oo. But its only a matter of time the wound is quite far from brain thats why she will not turn yet. Pero di magtatagal ay makakaabot na ang virus sa brain at dun na sya magsisimula maging isa sa mga biters." -Guy with Glasses
Damn! This is my fault! I hit the floor with my fist ng paulit-ulit. Guilty na guilty ako sa nangyari kay Mich. Kung si lang ako nagpadala sa takot di sana to nangyari sakanya. Im such looser and coward.
"Ok lang naman ako Yu, para lang akong lalagnatin. Wag kang maguilty di mo to kasalan." -Mich
"Kaya mo bang maglakad? Aalalayan nalang kita. We need to move forward di magtatagal may mga darating nanamang undeads." -Gino

Nagpatuloy na kami sa paglalakad. Nasa unahan si Gino at Rikku. Kami naman ni Mich ang nasa gitna, im carrying her in my back at nasa likod si Darren at Lara. It seems peaceful na ang second floor kaya wala kaming naging problema hanggang makababa kami sa 1st floor. 1st floor is also clear its very quite, nakakapangambang katahimikan. Pero salamat naman dahil walang sign ng walkers.
Everyone seems calm. They're just talking nonsense.
But Mich.... Tsss.
"Yu..mabigat ba ko? Maglalakad na lang ako sa balikat lang naman ang sugat ko eh kaya ko pa naman maglakad." -Mich
"No. Masama ang pakiramdam mo diba? Mabibinat ka pag pinilit mong maglakad. Don't worry its fine. Magaan ka lang. Pagkatapos nito itetreat kita ng maraming pagkain para pag mabigat kana pwede kanang magreklamo ok? Just hold on there and stay alive." -Yu

"Yu. Pag dumating na ang turning point ko ko gusto ko hampasin mo ako sa ulo bago pa ko mawala sa sarili ko. I want to die as a human being. I don't want to be a monster." -Mich
Then her tears started falling on my neck thats why I know shes crying quitely. But shes pretenting to be ok. For my sake. For my god damn sake! Its breaking me inside pero wala akong magawa. Parang nadudurog ang puso ko. Ang sakit! Ang sakit-sakit pag alam mong malapit ng mawala ang taong mahal mo. Kanina lang ok pa ang lahat tapos ngayon mawawala na sya. I can't take it. Its so unfair! Di ko kayang pag usapan ang topic namin kaya I tried to change it.

Napangiti lang ako sa sinabi ni Rikku at ganun di si Mich. Di naman umimik si Gino. And speaking Gino, Hes having fun talking to Rikku but they're just talking about nonsense.
"Stop! This is as far as we can stay calm. Tignan nyo dun." -Gino
At last were finally outside the Junior High building. Pero andaming zombies sa daanan papuntang Gym. Kailangan naming tawirin ang daan na kinatatayuan ng mga zombies na yun para makapunta sa Gym.
"Shi-- andami nila! We can't take all of them kahit lima pa tayo" -Lara
Mich is not included cause shes not a fighter and she injured.
"Kahit siguro sa loob ng gym madaming walkers. Gym isn't a safe place after all."
-Rikku
"Its safe there. 100% safe. Remember this is the first day of class. And the gym is probably lock. They will not open it until the first week end. Yan ang nakaugalian ng school staff kaya for sure this year naka lock din yun." -Darren
"Whata weird" -Rikku
"But its good thing wasn't it?" -Darren
"Pero ang problema natin ay kung pano tayo makakadaan." -Yu
"I just came up with a brilliant plan. But it's a bit dangerous. Just a litt'l bit. We need someone with great courage to be the bait. Pero don't worry hindi ito nakakamatay. Kung hindi ma wrong move." -Darren
"At ang success rate?" -Lara
"Well success rate is 90% and the survival rate of the bait is less than 50%." -Darren
"Damn!!! 50% is very low pero less than 50% pa! Tss! No one will grab that!" -Lara
"Tell the plan, I'll be the bait." -Yu
Yeah! Im the one should do this. This is the right thing to do. I'll do it. I will make sure everyone will be safe.

"Ok this how it goes, I just came up with an idea a while ago when a girl screamed then the biters stop chasing us. Instead ay pumunta sila sa dereksyon nung sumisigaw. Bakit kaya? Eto yun... (He pick up a stone and threw it the pole dahilan para tumonog ito, then the walkers followed the sounded at nag simulang magkumpulan sa gilid ng flag pole.)
See? They're walking towards the flag pole." -Darren
"So you mean we need to hit the pole over and over with a stone?" -Rikku
"No! We can't do that we cant hit that pole continuously can we? Depending on distance and the facing size of the pole which is about 6 cm wide we only have 20% chance of hitting the pole and it will not guarantee a loud sound. That's a waste of time and energy. -Darren
"So whats the plan?" -Lara
"Thats why we need bait. The bait needs to go and climb to the base of pole. He needs to stand in that small flatform and hit the pole continuously with that baseball bat. With metal hitting another metal you can create a loud sound. When there's sound walkers will come and they will make a way for us. We just need to cross silently. The flatform is high enough kaya para di ka maabot ng undeads ang bait. Pero sa dami ng papalibot na walkers sa gilid ng flag pole wala ng chance ang bait para makababa. Pag pinilit nyang bumababa magiging meryenda sya.
"Sabi mo may 50% of survival ang bait?!" -Yu
"Ang 50% ay yung kaya nyang itagal sa flatform hanggang mangalay sya at mahulog sa mga biters."
"Ako ang dapat gumawa nito Gino." -Yu
"Hindi Yu! Ako na. Just Focus on protecting Mich." -Gino
"Pero pano ka makakaalis dun? Pano ka makakasunod saamin? Thats suicidal! We can't let you do that!" -Mich
"Hahaha. Your worrying too much. Just trust me. I can do it without loosing my life. -Gino
(Of course that was just a bluff from Gino para payagan sya ni Mich at Yu na maging pain. Ang totoo ay wala syang idea.)
"Ok lets do this. First I will make my way to the pole you guys standby here." -Gino
"Ingat dude! I hope you have escape plan. I will let you do it because I trust you na makakasunod ka." -Yu
"Sunod ka ha pretty boy. Goodluck!"

"Gino...." -Mich *Worried*
Di umimik si Lara na parang malalim ang iniisip. Handa na ang lahat. Tumakbo na si Gino palapit sa pole, bawat humaharang na zombie sa daan nya ay hinhampas nya ng baseball bat nya.
Its was going smoothly pero habang lumalapit sa pole ay padami ng padami ang mga zombies. Malapit na sya sa pole pero napatigil sya dahil nawakan sya ng isang zombie at hindi sya dito makawala. Hes struggling for escape. Palapit na sakanya ang napakadaming walkers..
"Gino..No...!!!!" -Mich
"Hey Don't shout! Masisira ang plano natin!" -Darren
Hinampas ni Gino sa pader ng pole ang bat nya para mapatungan ang ginawang ingay ni Mich kaya hindi ito napansin ng mga undeads.
"Wow hes good" -Darren
"Thats our pretty boy for yah!" -Rikku
"Bro..." -Yu
Nakawala si Gino sa zombie na humahawak sakanya bago pa man umabot ang madaming zombies. Hinampas nya ito sa noo at umakyat sya agad sa may base ng pole. Halos sakto lang ang paa nya sa flatform. Gaya ng sabi ni darren di nga sya maabot pag andun sya.
Hinampas nya ng malakas ang pole gamit ang baseball bat nya. Narinig ito ng mga walkers na nasa malapit sa gym at nasa may corner ng school kaya nagsipuntahan ito sa direksyon ng pole. Paulit-ulit lang si Gino sa pag hampas hanggang sa ma clear na ang corner ng school at nag sensyas na sya na ok na.
Nagsimula na din kaming kumilos para sa phase 2 ng plano. Sa gilid lang kami dumaan. Hindi kami gumagawa ng ingay. Si Gino naman ay patuloy lang sa pag palo sa pool. Halos naipon na lahat ng walkers sa ibaba ng pole. Napapalibutan na si Gino. Ano na ang plano nya para makaalis sya sa pole at makasunod samin? Tss.
Narating namin ang pinto ng gym. Darren is right its lock. Its lock with a padlock pareho nung sa fire exit.
Tumingin ako kay Gino. Na gets nya naman ako agad kaya nag simula sya mag countdown gamit ang daliri nya.
3...2..1. Blaagg! Every end of countdown ay sabay kaming pumapalo ni Gino. Sya sa pole at ako naman sa padlock para matakoan ang ingay ng pagsira ko sa padlock.
Nasira ko na ang lock. Pinapasok ko na si Mich, sumunod naman si Darren at Rikku.
"Pano na si Gino?" -Mich
"Rikku, Darren sara nyo ang pinto. Stay alert lang buksan nyo pag papasok na kami." -Lara
"Bakit sis san ka pupuntan? Don't tell me..." -Rikku
"Gagawin kung 100% ang 50% na survival rate ng bait. I will save your friend so guard this door til we come back." -Lara
"I will go with you. Hes my friend, I have to save him too." -Yu

Pag pasok namin ay nilock nila ang pinto at hinarangan ng mga upuan. Yung mga undeads naman ay busy sa kakaabot ng tumutunog na cellphone.

After that panic we manage to find our selves a safe place and a shelter until tomorrow. Now were enjoying snacks from one of our new accomplices. Thanks to them nakarating kami dito ng ligtas. But we can't stay here for long.
