"Goodbye"
she scribbled across the paper
smearing blood
as she did
"I'm sorry"
she wrote it multiple times
in lines
and sometimes her tears
would leave a little mark
on "sorry"
as if to emphasize her point
He found her note
and read it a few times through,
trying to grasp the idea that she might
actually be gone
He yelled out her name,
voice cracking.
Desperately he ran to the bathroom
and found his darling
dead on the floor
Oh, how he wept.
