*Kaylee's POV*
"Ok, class," Mrs. Ballato started, "today we're going to be starting our class projects. I will be picking you partner for the assignment," she finished and a few people groaned.
"The pairs will be Ashley and Tyler, Lyndsey and Melanie, Billie and Brendon, Spencer and Jenna, Hayley and Mikey, Alex and Brian, and Kaylee and Ryan." Mrs. Ballato announced, "ok, get together with your partners,"
I walked over to Ryan and there was an empty seat next to him so I pulled it closer to him. Our project was a mix of writing and artwork. My English teacher always gave us creative projects to do, even though we're in high school. Ryan and I started with the artwork first. We had to draw symbols from the book the whole class had finished reading and also work together to write a couple small essays. The project was due next week so I assumed we would do most of it in class.
*two days later*
Ryan and I finished our project a few days early and we no longer had to worry about it. I closed my locker and someone tapped me on the shoulder. I turned around and it was Ryan.
"Hey," I smiled
"Hi, um, I've been thinking about asking you this for a while now..." He sheepishly started, "I was w-wondering if you want to go out with me or hang out or something." He finished
"I'd like that," I smiled. The dismissal bell rang, "maybe we could hang out now," I suggested
"Sure," he smiled before grabbing my hand and walking with me.
