My legs started to hurt a bit as my so called 'boy friend' made me go round all the trees by keeping arrow marks over them. Finally in the end I reached the same meadow where we made out for the first time.
"I thought you were not coming" His voice came behind me.
"Vince" my words slipped in the air as my eyes fell over him. He was wearing a tux with crisp white shirt beneath it similar to my dress. His messy hair was perfectly chiveled. And his lips had the same smirk he had when we first met. God how much good looking this boy has become since.
"You look handsome" I moved forward and took his hand while placing the other hand over his hard chest.
"You don't how badly I wan't to kiss you right now" he whispered as his thumb caressed my lips.
"Then do it" I gulped at the way he looked at me. And everything seemed perfectly normal when his lips hovered over mine. It was not a hungry kiss yet a soft and sensual one. He split after a few seconds and gave me one of his breath taking smiles.
"Do you remember this place?" He asked as my eyes fell over the same tree.
"How can I forget? You were wearing same color shirt that day too" I nodded my head.
"You know it fascinates me. How you remember all those tiny details about me?" He asked dragging my waist closer to him.
"I have nothing else to remember other than you, in this world"
"And that is why I am the luckiest man in this world" he pecked my lips again making me drown in his love.
"I often realise how we would have turned out if we didn't split six years back?" He said making me realise the same thing.
"That is only thing I regret each and every moment. I am really sorry for hurting you Vince" my eyes moistened as I said those words.
"But nothing changed right? You are still you. And I am still yours. Whatever happened we still loved each other even when we were not together. That teaches us that we are meant to be together all life. Vincent Turner is never a complete person without Nora Williams" his eyes held honesty as he said those words. We have never had the chance to sort out our relationship ever. I think he does that now.
"You complete me Nora. You are the only one in my dreams. You make me realise I can never ever feel the same way with any one like I do with you. My life will be meaningless without you. You have never asked me why I call you pumpkin right?" He asked me as I was in the verge of crying. He was right I have never asked him but I have always loved him calling me that.
"I still remember the first day I saw you Nora. It was during third grade. I met you in our school's cultural day. It was dressing competion. You as gracefull as you already are were dressed in a white dress just like today with a star in your hand, you were an angel. I was in the end of crying when you found me sitting alone."
"You came upto me and sat next to me 'Why are you crying? Where is your mommy?' You asked me in your sweet little voice. I didn't reply but some kids made fun of me being in the costume of pumpkin. You stood upto me and made them go away. Then turned to me 'hey don't feel sad. You look cute.Have you ever tasted pumpkin pastries? It'll be very tasty. I love pumpkin ' you made me smile Nora. You were with me all night. I don't know what love is at that time but I felt like you are a special candy which only I should have. I didn't have the chance to see you after that since we moved out of town.
But you were always in my mind when I grew up. After moving back here the first thing I did was to search you. Since I know nothing about you, I couldn't find you. But that day in corridor when you bumped into me I could not believe my own eyes. And I surely knew it's the same girl who stole my heart years back. So I thought of never letting you go out of my sight. Your fierce nature intimidated me. I created that silly bet just to spend time with you. But the thing which surprised me was you falling in love with me" He stopped and looked at me with nothing but true love in his eyes. I have never ever felt so much joy in my life. It's like a dream come true to hear what your lover thinks about you. And that's becoming true for me.
"You know what happened next pumpkin. We parted ways. I was living a life without soul. The moment I got you back in my arms is the day I got my soul back. I am planning on never letting you go out of my sight again. And I have a better plan for that.." He stopped in the mid as he stepped away from me creating a distance. I frowned not knowing what he's going to do. But my heart skipped a beat when he dropped on his knees and took hold of my hand.
"Will you marry me Nora Williams?" That's it. Everything around me stopped functioning for a moment. He proposed me and I am standing like a statue without responding. I choked unconsciously realising I haven't been breathing for a while. God knows how long I have waited for this moment.
"Nora.." Vince looked at my face with a small frown afraid I would say 'no'.
"Yes Vince. I will" I spilled those words at the same time he slipped a ring in my finger. Nothing matters anymore.
He's mine. And I am his. Officially.
Without wasting a second I clutched his shirt and connected my lips with his. This kiss was nothing like we had before. His lips never left mine as did mine.
I gasped when I heard a series of claps followed by a whistle. He let go of me only to find my entire family including our friends coming out of nowhere and this place became a party within seconds.
I turned to find him smiling at me. All I wanted was to kiss him again. But with all these people around, not possible for a while.
Our mom's were the first to come forward followed by dad's.
"I can't believe this is happening. My little girl is getting married" My mom came forward hugging me with tears in her eyes.
"You don't know how long I have waited for this to happen Nora. Congratulations"Samantha hugged me after my mom.
"Thanks Samantha"
"You should call me as 'mom' from now on daughter-in-law" Samantha tried to keep her face serious while saying that.
"Sure mom" I replied memorising that fact.
"I am so happy son. And I am very happy you have a bought home a sweet daughter-in-law" Mr.Turner hugged us both. Finally my dad came in. I jumped into his arms as tears flowed out from both our eyes.
"I can't express the joy I am feeling right now honey. I love you" Dad caressed my hair as I laid my head over his chest.
After our parents came in my another part of family; our friends.
"First of all you are stealing my best friend away from me. So better take good care of her or you have to face me Turner." Gracie kept her face straight while she said those words. Gavin looked at her like a ghost.
"Ofcourse. I will" Vince nodded as he snaked an arm around my waist. Gracie turned to me and we both hugged each other squealing in joy.
"Gracie I am so happy. I think I am going to faint" I said clutching her tightly.
"Give me a chance to hug my sister too love" He dragged Gracie away from me.
"Finally you made it right?" He shuffled my already messed up hair.
"I love you guys" I hugged him and Gracie together.
"Well welcome to the whipped mens club my friend" He shook Vince's hand while Gracie gave him a boring look. God this couple will never act normal.
"Yeah like you are whipped right now" Vince teased him back which ended in us laughing our life out.
They were followed by Tina and Tommy who came with thier newborn child. Jake and Stella were also present along with many of my school friends. And to my surprise Bitch was also there. She came to us and wished us truly. Atleast some people realise thier mistakes and change for good.
"How can you do this to me Nora?" I turned with a grin to find the owner of that voice. Steve stood there with his arms open for me.
"Steve"I moved and hugged him but gasped when he lifted me and gave a round. Not so soon he got a punch from Vincent.
"Hey cousin. Still can't handle your jealousy huh? Even after she had become your fiancee" He smirked at him.
"Your'e crushing her by hugging, idiot" Vince grabbed me again and wrapped his arms around me. Why do I feel this is not going to get used to me?
"I believe you"Steve smirked again and turned to me "I am so happy guys. I was waiting for this to happen so long. You deserve it Nora"
"Thanks Steve" I smiled back at him.
Gracie stole me away from Vincent who looked not so happy about that.
"Nora I have got something to tell you girl"
"Go ahead"
"I am pregnant" Her words wanted me to jump to the sky and come back. My Gracie is pregnant. I can't thank god enough for all these good things.
"Oh my god. Gracie are you serious. I am so so happy" We both hugged ourselves like crazy.
"I got confirmed today. Even Gavin didn't know yet" She said as she rubbed her flat belly.
"I knew it. I got a hunch in our trip right?" I asked her with happy tears.
"I didn't know it then dear. But I thought you should know it first"
"Oh Gracie I love you"
"Will he be happy about this?" She asked unsure.
"Ofcourse he will be. You are going to give him the best gift of his life Gracie"
"Well lets see that tonight" We both nodded and moved back to join the group.
"So man when is the wedding? Don't tell me you are planning to get married before us" Gavin grabbed Gracie and rested his head on her shoulder. Awe how cute. They are going to be great parents.
"Haven't planned yet bro. But as soon as possible. I am not letting her out of my sight again"Vince replied as his eyes lingered over me at the same time Kevin walked out of nowhere and stood beside. Vince's grip on my hand tightened.
"Umm. Congrats to the both of you" Kevin shook Vince's hands and hugged me.
"Thanks Kevin. You came?" I asked him as we were out of hearing distance from the group since he felt uneasy talking in front of them.
"Yeah Vince called me. How could I miss this? You are very happy Nora. I wouldn't miss to see your happy face" His reply made me feel guilty at once. But I brushed those thoughts away. It's not a day to worry, It's a day for me and Vince.
"Thanks Kevin." I said and turned but his hands caught mine.
"Did you inform Vincent about your trip to England?" He asked and I was a bit irritated by his demanour.
"No Kevin I haven't. And it's not just informing. I have to get his permission to leave town. So I'll let you know if I am coming" With that I gave him a small smile and walked back to my friends.
Well life is filled with not only sweet it has sour too...
I moved back to the crowd and Vince took this chance to bring me alone. I too had been waiting to be alone with him.
"I thought this would be our moment" he sighed as his arms snaked around me, I rested my arms on his chest.
A blush crept upto my cheeks at his action "It is Vince. I am happy"
"Yeah but everybody are stealing you away from me. Maybe inviting all these people is a bad idea" he pouted like a kid.
"In the end I am still with you right?"
"Your'e mine now pumpkin. I can have you locked in my room. Inhale you without considering others. Even now your'e eyes are driving me crazy. Do you know that?"I was completely drowning in his love with no chance of waking up. When I didn't reply for his question, he lowered his lips to mine and pressed it slightly. Once again our lips moved in perfect synch. Only problem was my legs seemed to have forgot the rule of gravity. I clutched his shirt like my life depended on it.
"Vince"I murmured over his lips as he had no idea of stopping.
"Mmmm"his reply was just a murmur. I sighed and pulled back from him reluctantly making him frown.
"We have to go back. People would search Vince. We have all the time in the world for this" I took his hand and joined back our family.
After dinner in Vince's home everyone started to leave. I gave Gracie a 'thumbs up'. When my parents stood upto leave my face frowned. I want to spend this night with Vince. But that wouldn't be appropiate considering my parentsare here. I turned to give a good night kiss to Vince but he was not behind me as expected. I scanned the room only to be disappionted. Maybe he's angry that I am leaving. Not to blame him.
Sighing I stood up to leave. I peeked out of our car until the mansion was out of sight.
You are so mean Mr.Turner...
