I fell into the abyss
Clawing at my surroundings for support
As my legs crumbled below me
And my eyes filled with illusion.
My chest expanded internally
Hands grew clammy
Nose grew accustomed
To the familiar scent that lingered.
Naive was my soul
Tempted were my urges
Wishful was my mind
And broken became my heart.
