Chapter 42
•Peeta's POV•
I was getting tired and I know I should wake Katniss so she can take her watch, but she seems so peaceful. It's the middle of the night and its freezing. I crawl into the sleeping bag next to her and wrap my arms around her, but I jump back when I notice how cold she is.
"Katniss." I whisper. She doesn't make any kind of response.
"Katniss." I say shaking her lightly. She groans and looks at me sleepily.
"Your freezing!" I tell her.
"P-Peeta, I'm fine." She stutters. She was shivering.
"Katniss, your stuttering an shivering." I tell her, As I begin to wrap the blanket around her.
"Peeta I'm f-fine." She insists.
"Katniss just go back to sleep." I insist.
"Peeta, I-I need to take my watch." She tells me.
"Katniss, listen, it's the middle of the night, and freezing, no one is going to be out." I try and reassure her. She lets out a breath and curls up against me, clutching my jacket.
