The war against Voldemort had ended 6 months ago and many families and lives have been crushed and torn apart. The Wizardry World was on the verge of collapse. The population depleted, the ministry was scrambling for scraps to pull themselves together prosecuting everyone left and right. Had it not been for the Golden Trio and their confession, Draco and his family would have lost everything. They would have been penniless, nameless and worse of all probably dead. Draco took the hit with a stride. He tried to adapt to the new life because frankly his old life wasn't so great either. He made friends with the Golden Trio granted it wasn't easy. Not with Granger threatening to punch him in the face again.

Over all Draco thought things were looking up. People were helping rebuild Hogwarts. Society did not see him as a mass murderer. They saw him as a child stuck in between his ancestral game. His father took the hit the hardest. Lucius stepped down from his official role in the ministry. He and Narcissa moved to a small villa in France and decided to spend their time somewhere quiet and away from scrutinizing gazes.

But don't get him wrong Lucius was more than proud of Draco, he even told him so. The boy had grown into a respectable young man that he could never be.

The Golden Trio were hesitant of the blond who spend better half of his school career tormenting them. But it was actually Harry who pulled the blond into their group. Oddly, Harry and Draco had a lot in common and had it not been for the petty rivalry and inter-house hatred they could have been best mates.

It took sometime to integrate the rest of the pureblood into society but little by little. Things worked out for the better.

-----------------

Dear Mr. Malfoy,

You are cordially invited to witness the union between Hermione Jean Granger and Ronald Bilius Weasley.

-----------------

"I can't believe your getting married mate?" laughed Harry as he chugged down some butterbeer.

"Mate I am as terrified as you are. Blimey, you think Mione will notice?" asked a fear stricken Ron.

"If I didn't know any better I'd say your having cold feet," grumbled Harry in anger.

Neville and Draco shared an uneasy look. The boys had gone out for some drinks after the wedding announcement. The only issue was to not screw anything up by the end of the night.

"Cold feet?! I love that 'know-it-all'," hiccuped Ron as he took another swing of his drink.

"You better, you take care of her because if you don't I'll hurt you," Harry said drunkly.

"And you take care of my sister," muttered Ron.

Harry blushed, "I will."

"Alright you two I think you've had enough," replied Draco as he began to push away the drinks form the two. Harry and Ron grumbled in anger as their drinks were confiscated.

"Wait till you find a girl Malfoy, it'll be someone who'll make you run for your money," grumbled Harry.

"I wouldn't say that Harry. Frankly there isn't anyone left in the Wizarding World who can make me bat an eye," replied Draco smoothly.

"You say that now but wait till you meet Moine's cousin from America. That lass is something," replied Ron as he staggered.

Draco raised his eyes, "A muggle?"

"Now don't go pulling your pureblood sentimentality Draco. I'll have you know that Hermione said she wasn't just any muggle. She is... she is...," by then Ron had passed out. Draci wondered what exactly that Ron was trying to say, but he pushed it at the back of his mind. Neville and Draco carried the groom and the best man back to their flats.

Although, it did bug Draco not knowing what exactly Granger's cousin was.

-------------------

Draco and many of the ministry officials were in the corner of the reception. Draco was having his ear talked off about a new bill he couldn't care less. He wanted to sneer at them and leave before a headache made its way into his mind. Thankfully Neville was still with him to help him stay sane.

Until a voice ripped his only hope for salvation away from him, "Hey Neville, Hermie says she wants to dance with you. She says if she doesn't see you in the next five minutes she'll have a conniption."

Neville blanched at the prospect before excusing himself.

"Hi you must be Draco?" replied the same voice that was talking to Neville.

Draco raised his eyes to meet the individual with a disdainful sneer when his grey eyes met with clear crystal blue. White pearly teeth flashed at him though her big red pouty lips. Her button nose and dimples made the boy halt in his breathing. Blown locks in curls bounced as she tiled her head and smiled at him.

"Yes that is who I am, although I feel a little at a disadvantaged not knowing your name," replied Draco as he flashed the girl a smile.

Her infectious laughter carried over as people glanced their way at the couple, "I'm Layla, Mia's cousin."

"If I do recall correctly and correct me if I am wrong but my memory does serve its purpose but you called her Hermie," replied Draco with a smirk.

"Ugh, did I? I don't recall ever calling her that... Ugh! Fine but if you have any ounce of decency you will promise me that this discussion will not make it to Mia's ears. That girl is a she devil I tell you. Wait don't tell her I said that," Layla shut her mouth as she smiled.

"Mm, I don't know? What's in it for me?" asked Draco slyly.

"Is there something that I can do for you?" replied Layla with a smirk.

"I think I can think of something," whispered Draco.

Layla raised her brow in question but then suddenly her eyes gleamed in determination ad she without further a due pulled Draco into the dance floor.

________

Draco laughed as he spun the girl in his arms. He swore for the life of him that he hadn't had this much fun ever in his life as he did tonight.

Two knowing pairs of eyes smiled down at the dancing duo in knowing glances.

-----------------------

Draco sat at a chair. Tie loosened, shoes kicked off his feet. Waist coat off on the other chair, his white button up with sleeves pulled up and a cold drink in his arms.

"Hey there," said Layla as she approached Draco and plopped down on a seat next to him.

Draco looked up from his drink to the young girl who no longer sported the gorgeous red dress but now was dressed in skin tight black booty shorts a white t-shirt that clung to her like second skin. A red flannel was tied around her hip, she sported black over the knee socks and black sneakers.

Draco couldn't help but leer at Layla's legs as they ran down for miles. His heated gaze was cast towards her tussled hair as she pulled his drink away and placed a cup of water in front of him.

"Here, this will do you some good," Layla said.

"Thanks," replied Draco as he took the water and began to drink some.

Layla's eyes were cast towards Draco's left arm where the dark mark was embedded. Her eyes still transfixed on the mark she didn't notice Draco squirming under her gaze.

"It's disgusting I know," grumbled Draco as his eyes were down cast.

"What you call disgusting, I call beautiful," replied Layla with her eyes still latched on to the tattoo.

Draco's head fell back as he began to laugh hysterically.

Layla smiled at him.

His eyes caught her smile as he bitterly tugged her whole body on to him, "what in the name of this mark is beautiful to you?"

Layla still feeling disheveled at being jostled grasped Draco's biceps to steady herself as her eyes met his grey ones, "not the mark itself per sei, more the man wearing the mark. Because it shows his struggle, his pain, his perseverance, it shows us his humanity."

Draco glared at the girl with blue eyes not knowing if it was best to slap her or kiss her senselessly.

"If I had the choice I'd get it removed," Draco grumbled.

Layla raised her brow, "if the choice was offered you would truly accept it?"

"Without a doubt," replied Draco his eyes never wavering.

Layla's right hand made its way to the mark slowly but surely. Finally, her forefinger rested on the mark. Slowly she begins to trace the mark as Draco keeps his gaze on the girl confused.

Suddenly, her hand glowed a bright blue color as Draco felt a warm sensation wash over him. The mark in his arm heats up until he feels an exploding sensation, his eyes still caught on the blue glow until there is nothing left.

No mark.

There on his arm...

The mark...

...

Was gone...

"How did you?" Draco asked shocked and elated.

"I may not be a witch but I am no ordinary human," Layla whispered.

Draco's senses screamed at him to do something. His instincts kicked In to express his new found joy as the boy pulled the girl down for a hot searing kiss.

It was in this position that Neville Longbottom found his friend.

Draco had Layla up in his lap. His hands in her hair as he latched on to her mouth and continued to devour her.

Layla was no better as she had popped his white button up shirt and was caressing his abs as she moaned into the kiss.

"Ugh, guys?" called out Neville awkwardly.

The couple broke apart from their heated session.

Layla too busy trying to catch her breath and to fix her disheveled state still on Draco's lap, did not notice said boy's heated gaze.

Not taking his eyes off of the beautiful specimen Draco asked, "what is it Neville?"

"The receptions over and every one left. I just wanted to let you know you guys can go home and I can take Layla back to her place as promised. Although, now that I look at it, it seems to me like you guys might be heading out somewhere else," quipped Neville with a grin.

"I'll take care of her Neville," was Draco's answer as he smirked at the shocked girl who stared up at him in surprise at his admission. There was more than one meaning in his voice.

"Have a nice night," replied Neville as he walked away.

"I'm not a witch," Layla stated.

"I know," Draco answered with unwavering eyes.

"Your parents won't approve," Layla continued without braking their eye contact.

"Unfortunately, for them it is my choice. Whom I choose to associate with. I am done living a life where someone dictates me," Draco answered.

"I won't always agree with you and I sure as hell won't let you be the patriarch in our relationship or wherever this thing we have here goes. Trust me I've read enough about your world to diagnose you as backwashed, backwards, patriarchal society who's goal is to continue imbreeding to the point of extinction," replied Layla.

"I'll never force you to do something you don't want. I want us to be equal in this. I want to know you and the world that you grew up in. Teach me what you know," Draco countered.

"What is it that you want from me?" asked Layla finally.

Draco always knew in his mind that he would be getting married someday as a Malfoy it was his duty to do so and provide an heir from the union. But now with the war done, he knew he would never be interested with anyone from the Wizarding World. But with Layla here he felt like there was something there. She was an anomoly. She was his guardian angel. The only one who was able to grant him his freedom through the shackles of society. Draco felt like this wouldn't be the first time she would free him. He had a lot to learn and understand and it was through her that he could see himself grow and become free from the confines of pureblood society. It's as if she was his personal guardian angel made just for him. And Merlin help him if he let anyone snatched her away from him.

Malfoy's were possessive and Draco knew in all honesty Layla was going to be his. It was only a matter of time.

"I want you in every way possible. Your mind, body and soul to be mine," Draco answered with a smirk as Layla sputtered not expecting that answer.

"Your serious about this?" asked Layla.

"Enough to grant you the Malfoy name only after meeting you for a total of 6 hours," answered Draco.

"Did you just propose to me?" asked Layla miffed.

"Depends do you want a preposal?" Draco asked as he latched his mouth to her collar bone.

Layla moaned as she answered, "Draco.... I... I... want a real proposal out of you if this works out. This doesn't count but yes... oh... yes... I want a proposal someday."

"Done," replied Draco confirming with the girl, "now how about we take this somewhere more private?"

"Mmm, I like the idea. My place or yours?" Layla asked.

"Mine, I prefer to have you in my bed for the next few weeks until I am sated," growled Draco as he nipped her ear before raising her off of him and getting up himself. Grabbing his waist coat and pulling out his wand he grabbed Layla by the hand as he asked, "I'll apparate us to my flat. Have you apparate before?"

"Yes, I am okay with apparating," replied Layla as she held onto Draco and they disappeared from the Wedding Hall.

Once they were in Draco's flat. Said boy had hiked up the girl in his arms as he continued to devour her face while making his way over to his bedroom.

Once he reached the foot of the bed he sat down with the girl still on his lap.

Layla tugged on Draco's hair as she felt his hardness through her shorts.

Slowly she traced her mouth over his jaw and up his face towards his ear while her right hand snaked into his trousers.

"Minx, you have no idea what your getting into," growled Draco.

"Mr. Malfoy will you please then show me what exactly am I getting into," Layla moaned huskily.

"Oh I intend to show you," he replied.

_______

It was 10 in the morning when Draco realized he wasn't alone in bed. He snaked his arm around Layla's waist as he snuggled into her breathing in her scent. Slowly but surely he bag leaving pepper light kisses across her shoulders and clavicle and neck.

"Mm, go away!" Whined Layla as she tried to push Draco away from his.

Unfortunately for her Draco saw this as a challenge as he grasped her appendage that was struggling to peal him of of her.

"Hm... I don't think so," Draco said, "I don't feel quite satisfied yet."

Layla's eyes had popped open suddenly as she gaped at the man, "what? What are you talking about? I won't be able to move for a week! You jerk! It hurts all over and so help me god of you try anything I will kill you!"

Draco's eyes lit up in glee as he kissed the girl senselessly.

"Maybe just one more," mumbled Layla.

Draco's laughter resonated throughout the apartment.
_______

6 months later

"So how is it going with your man?" Asked Hermione.

Layla's grin said it all, "I have him eating out of my palm."

"My my how cruel of you my dear lady," Draco's voice popped up as two girls looked gobsmacked for being caught of guard. Layla glared at Hermione as Hermione stared at Layla with Draco behind her who held a mischievous grin on his face.

Draco made his way over to his short button nosed brunette and had hugged her from behind.

Hermione grinned at the cute couple.

"Looks like you are getting along just fine."

"Of course we are, I am at the beck and call of this lovely woman," replied Draco as he kissed Layla's cheek who smiled up at Draco.

"You two are so sweet you make me want to gag," groaned Ron as he sighed in anguish.

Layla stuck her tongue out as she teased her ginger in law.

"What are your plans this weekend?" Asked Hermione as she began to set the table in the kitchen for dinner.

"Well I don't think I have anything planned why-"

"We already have plans actually-"

The couple spoke at the same time. Layla froze in confusion and looked at her boyfriend with a raised brow. Now what was he up to?

"Draco dear what is that you aren't tell me?" She asked in a sweet tone voice feeling irritated. Layla hates surprises.

"Well you see ahh... MotherandFatherwishtomeetyouthisweekend," Draco blurted out in fear.

"I'm sorry what?" Layla had to do a double take.

Draco rarely spoke about his parent but when he did it was bare minimum and straight to the point. She couldn't say she could judge his parents based on what she knew because frankly she knew nothing about them.

"He said his parents want to meet you this weekend. God! Doesn't anyone listen around here?" Answers Ron as Hermione smacked him upside the head, "ow what was that for?"

"Look I know it's too soon and I spurred it all on you out of no where but they had asked me months ago and I promised I would think about and when I decided I chickened out about telling you,". Draco pleaded.

Layla couldn't help but grin, "Draco its fine don't worry about it. This could be fun. I mean you've already met my parents and that went well. Trust me this will be. Piece of cake. What can go wrong?"
