"If it wasn't a dream, then why does it feel like one?" I asked myself over and over again. It's a simple question anyone would ask if someone you trusted did the unthinkable. I've gone through a lot with my dad. When he divorced my mom, every time he had a bad day, whenever he was upset, I was there. It's not going to be like that anymore, not after what he did. Sunday, March 13th was a good day until I walked in on my dad and his girlfriend fucking in his room. They didn't know I was there, and I planned to just sneak out with my things and leave. I would slide under the radar, and go somewhere without them knowing, until my phone rung. "Shit!" I whispered. The moaning stopped. "Nichole," my dad said, "is that you?" I ran outside with nothing but my phone. No shoes or anything. I did the first thing I knew to do, cry.
