We were running towards an opening that we could see, well I couldn't because I was too small but when I asked Bombur where we were going he replied 'Daylight'
As we got out of the mountain, Gandalf started to count us
"Five, Six, Seven, Eight. Bifur. Bofur. That's 10. Fili, Kili! That's 12. Bombur and Berry, that's 14. Where's Bilbo?"
We had all stopped running and we're now catching our breaths and I started to look around for my brother.
"Where is our hobbit? WHERE IS OUR HOBBIT?!" Gandalf finally yelled at the company
"BILBO?!" I yelled out to him spinning in circles looking for him
"Curse that halfling! Now he's lost?" Gloin said in anger
"I thought he was with Dori" Ori said
"Don't blame me!" Dori said in defence
"Where did you last see him?" Gandalf asked and Nori replied to him "I think I saw him slip away when they first collared us."
"Tell me what happened" Gandalf asked again and this time it was Thorin who answered
"I'll tell you what happened. Master Baggings saw his chance and he took it. He has thought of nothing but his soft bed and his warm hearth since first he stepped out of his door. We will not be seeing our hobbit again. He is long gone"
"Bilbo wouldn't do that to us! He wouldn't do that to me!" I said angrily at Thorin, not believing that that's what he thought of Bilbo.
"Your right Berry, I wouldn't" all the dwarves gaped as they looked at Bilbo who was standing behind Thorin
"Bilbo Baggings, I've never been so glad to see anyone in my life." Gandalf admitted
"Bilbo. We'd given up on you" kili said next
"I didn't" I said lifting my hand up but was ignored
"How on earth did you get past the goblins?" Fili asked
"How indeed" Dwalin muttered
"Well, what does it matter? He's back" Gandalf said looking suspicious
"It matters. I want to know. Why did you come back?" Thorin asked
"Look, I know you doubt me. I know you always have. And you're right. I often think of bag end. I miss my books. And my armchair. And my garden. See, that's where I belong. That's home. That's why I came back. 'Cause... You don't have one, a home. It was taken from you. But I will help you take it back if I can"
There was a quiet moment where everyone was looking at each other seriously when we all heard the sound of wargs growling and howling
"Out of the frying pan" Thorin started saying
"And into the fire. Run!"
"Why do we always have to run?" I asked nobody but was taken by the arm and pulled down the hill.

I finally updated! I actually thought I did until @Feefee242 commented on chapter 17 asking me to update. I then realized that I had done the save button and not the publish so thank you for reminding me
