"Hey Yoongi." A co-worker called and mint-head lifted his gaze at his work buddy. "Huh?" He was quite lost in space after sitting by the computer for several hours. "We're going out to eat, are you coming?" The guy said with a bright smile and gestured welcoming Yoongi into the group of friends.
Yoongi rubbed his eyes, which were red, puffy and tired and gave a sideway glance to his phone. The screen was dark and he haven't received a single message from Jimin, nor a call. It was making him worried-sick. Some weak voice deep in his head was telling him that it was exactly what he wanted. To lose the strings keeping him attached to his past life.
But as soon as those strings seem to have started vanishing, Yoongi panicked. He needed to hear Jimin's voice as much as he needed a next sip of oxygen. But his heart didn't beat. Just like it didn't beat all the other times. And without a heartbeat, he didn't listen to the voices telling him to call Jimin either.
"Yeah I'm coming." He stated standing up from his chair and just in case he shoved his phone into a pocket.
