“ Ouch ouch ouch " I whispered as I slowly got up from the couch
I looked back down at my mother, who still laid in a curled up position. She would enjoy waking up with her whole body feeling sore. I stretched out my arms, cracking every bone in my body in the process.

I sighed, I had a ton of work to do today, I still have to figure out a way to set up angel and Corey. I slowly climbed my stairs trying to avoid waking up my mother I walked into my room looking for my phone. Of course I couldn't be responsible and set my phone somewhere I might actually find it.

I gave up searching and decided to lay in my bed. Right when I was about to drift off to sleep, I felt a small vibration under the small of my back. I sighed and sat up, I tossed my pillow to the side.

My phone had apparently ended up under my pillow. Which wouldn't be unusual. I picked up my cell phone and looked at the caller I.D. it was Corey calling me. Perfect! I pressed the phone to my ear.

 "Morning beautiful!" Corey sang out.

I rolled my eyes. "Morning Corey."

"So I was thinking we could go on a date today."

"Sure, what do you have planned?" I asked

"I was thinking the amusement park, be ready by one okay Mel?"

            "Sure, see you then."

Fantastic, now all I had to do was convince Angel to go. I sat on my bed and crossed my legs. Just when an idea hit me. I picked up my phone and called Vince. He answered on the third ring.

            "What?" He said rather agitated

            "We have plans."

            Vince groaned."Continue."

I smiled."When is the last time you went on a date?"

Dead silence had entered the conversation.

What felt like minutes later he finally replied.

            "Awhile."

"Perfect, call Angel and ask her to spend the day at the amusement park."

"Mel, she likes Corey she would never agree to go with me."

I rolled my eyes. He's so naive.

"Girls like their options, meet us there at about one thirty."

He groaned. "Fine, see you then." He then hung up.

I checked to see the time on my phone. It was already twelve, leaving me with only an hour to get ready before Corey came. I jumped off of my bed and ran to my bathroom. I quickly threw my clothing off and hopped into the shower. I washed my hair and scrubbed the rest of my body down. I took extra time shaving so I didn't cut myself. Within minutes I was out of the shower.

I stood wrapped up in my towel looking into my closet. I decided on white studded shorts with a flowing green top. Once I got dressed I tried to quickly do my hair. With that being said it went into a side braid. I looked up into the mirror and smiled. The green top hugged my body in the right places and brought out my eyes.

My hair looked neat and sophisticated in the side braid. For rushing through the whole process I did a great job.

A knock on the door snapped me out of my thoughts. I checked the clock, it was already 12:55. I grabbed my white gladiator sandals and threw them on.

Before leaving my room I grabbed my phone and some money. I ran down the stairs tucking them into my back pocket at the same time.

My mother stood by the couch while Corey sat waiting for me.

"Sorry Corey, I got a bit caught up."

He smiled. "It's okay, I was just talking to your mom."

My mother had changed into a white dress. She threw a brown belt in the middle to match her brown heels. She also fixed her hair into a bun. She was getting ready to leave for work.

“Hi honey, I'm getting ready to leave in a few for work."

She leaned down and picked up her work case.

"I'll check in sometime, I love you, bye." she added before opening the door.

I walked behind her to see her out when she turned around and whispered in to my ear.

            "He's cute by the way."

She winked and turned around to wave. I blushed slightly, I could feel the heat rise to my face.

            "Bye mom."

I shut the door behind me and looked back at Corey. He wore light brown khakis with a white V-neck. It was one of the simplest things he could throw on, yet he managed to look like a model while doing so.

"Your mom is very nice Mel."

            "She is." I replied back.

My mother was one of the kindest women you could ever meet. She would give up anything to see another person happy.

Corey stood up, smoothing out his pants while doing so.

            "You ready to go?"

I nodded my head and opened my door. I waited until he came out so I could lock the door. He walked to his car, when instead of stopping at his door, He went straight to the passenger door. He swung open the door.

            "Ladies first."

I slid into the seat and smiled.

            "Thanks."

            "Of course" Corey said.

I was still surprised that Corey was still participating in the game. He seemed like such a respectable guy. I couldn't see why someone like him would want to play a game so cruel.

What could he possibly gain from breaking girl’s hearts? He seemed like he had the perfect girl already, so why play with me? It didn't exactly piece together.

Maybe if I won I would figure it out.

We came to an abrupt halt, it took me seconds to realize that we had arrived. I stepped out of the car and took in my surroundings. It wasn't a big amusement park, it seemed rather small. From what I could see there were three roller coasters, a Ferris wheel, and a few other small rides.

It wasn't like Cory to do something big and complicated. Instead he stuck with simple and nice. The park practically mirrored his personality. He took my hand and pulled me towards the ticket booth.

"Two please." He asked the booth worker.

Corey pulled out a random amount of cash and took our wrist bands in return. He handed me mine while he put his own on. I had easily secured the band around my wrist, while Corey on the other hand seemed to struggle.

I rolled my eyes and chuckled.

"Here let me." I said while taking his band.

I secured his band to his wrist within seconds. I looked up to see Corey smiling.

            "Thanks."

            "Of course Corey."

He was about to reply when his eyes went wide. His mouth slightly opened, his gaze was focused on something behind me. I turned around to see what he was looking at.

There stood Vince with his arm wrapped snuggly against Angel. Corey tensed when Angel seemed to laugh at something Vince said.

Just then Angel looked up and smiled.

            "Hey Corey!"
