It was gone, yeah vanished and I had a scar on the skin as well, was that a birthmark? Or was it a mole? What the hell had been there, whatever it was now was literally gone and I was left with a deep scar was this connected to this problem or something? Why was this so frustrating why was it reeling in my head over and over!
I groaned, as I slipped out of the bed and moved away to get showered it was a Saturday and once again I have no social life to get into or even have a job to fall back on. I was one damn useless girl I thought I could bare do anything without having someone help me no wonder my mother always shook her head whenever she thought I was getting to lazy.
To be honest I wasn’t so lazy at home as I was forced by my own sisters to actually do their washing and do their shopping without my mother’s knowledge. At some point I actually did feel as if my mother knew but she wouldn’t say anything, which always depressed me. I sighed and walked down the stairs my heart feeling heavy as I stepped out of the room I bumped into something and I moaned.
“Sorry!” I heard the voice and I knew who it was
“No problem my fault really” I mumbled I didn’t take his outstretched hands and got up and dusted myself off
He looked sad for a moment before he smiled; I kept walking straight when I looked up to see a smiling boy which set my heart racing.
“Yeah you want something?” I asked looking at him suspiciously
“Yeah I do” he replied and took hold of my hand before I could snatch it away
“What are you doing?” I asked as he dragged me out as he gently shut the door I stared at him freaked
“Nothing just shut up and let me lead the way” he said and winked at me which by the way was sexy
I didn’t say anything he just dragged me away before I protested, I had butterflies in my stomach would I actually dare to refuse him? Was I that much in love with him that I wouldn’t say NO! was I that stupid god I was pathetic I told myself nothing can be more disturbing than being clingy and I prayed silently hoping he didn’t think that of me.
“Here we are” he replied breathlessly as he turned to face me I saw his eyes light up
“Well nothing beats the arcade I guess” I smiled for his sake when reality I wanted to laugh at what he was thinking
“Come on we can play some games” he replied as he dragged me again to the places he wanted to go to
And here I was spending my Saturday with a boy! With a freaking BOY! Never have I felt bliss I thought to think a guy like him was taking me someplace I was giddy with excitement that I wasn’t paying attention to anything he was saying or even playing. We played the coin pusher machines we ended up with a lot of change we were both surprised but we use to play more games we played the shoot the hoop basketball game and of course he won as I was too busy staring at his muscles that rippled under t-shirt. Did I just say that? That was embarrassing!
It’s not I didn’t enjoy it I loved it! This was the most fun I had for so long! Literally! I thought I was always going to be alone for the while I was here and I will grow old by the time I made any real friends here. But being here with him made me feel at ease I didn’t feel like I had two heads no more nope I felt normal!
“What shall we do next?” he urged as he looked at me with a crooked grin
“How about pool?” I suggested not that I was any good I mean
“Cool” he said and held on to my hand the third time today I was going to barf in happiness! Not that I would or else I will be shamed!
“Ok want to go first” he held on to his pole and nodded towards me
I bent down and held on to the pole like an idiot, I wasn’t doing it right. I was fumbling until he came behind me and placed his arms on mine and we bent over the table.
“Look at the white ball and aim it towards the striped ones” his warm breath tingled my ear my heart was pounding erratically
“Ok…”I breathed and I managed to shot it in
I felt his arms around me; I felt them tangle with mine his hands on top of mine as he held it tight. I was happy filled with bliss no idea why I felt this way but I was just damn happy. When I shot it in I turned around to see his face so close to mine I jumped wide eyed and moved away.
“Sorry” I mumbled as I touched my neck blushing “Your turn”
And he did it swiftly, he was a pro I thought not like me but no one was better than anyone really. I only played pool a few times and with my father too but I was young so I didn’t play that well. To think I will be playing with someone my own age and all. When the game was nearing to an end I excused myself to the girl’s loo which was in another shop he said he will be here and I walked away feeling lighter.
I was so in my own world that I managed to not see who was following behind me, it was getting dark it was winter and all I wrapped my jumper tighter around me. I heard the crunch and footsteps I actually generally thought I was by myself and all I didn't think I would hear someone with me. going to the next shop was a mission by the time I actually came out I felt better but still scared I kept walking fast I mean I had to cross the road right?
But I was wrong, I knew someone was following me bu to think I had three men honing on me made me jitter in fear I ran that was any idiot would really. But to think I ran the wrong way the way I could have bumped into Raphael but no I ran where I knew I would be trapped I felt like I was trapped in a horror movie!
I was out of breath I was running too much and too fast I managed to lose the men for a quick second I ran into the shed to see if I could hide until they moved away! But I was so wrong this wasn’t a shed this was like a warehouse I walked myself into a trap I moaned as my gasps came in sharp jagged breath I was getting a stitch and I was surely to be attacked if I didn’t hide.
“Not so fast!” yelled the brown hated man I stopped and turned towards the other two
“Who the hell are you and what do you want!” I screamed I don’t care where I was but I will shout until I get out
“WE just want to talk” said the blue hated man and I gulped like hell they can fool me
“No…” I whispered as I fumbled to get my phone out but then I realized I didn’t have my phone on me and I stared wide eyed “No…” I whispered again
“Listen kid we just need you to cooperate with us and we will talk” said the green hat man and I felt my lips tremble no way was I doing this again
The first time was not fun and this won’t be either why wasn’t anything easier? Why did it get more difficult?
“If you want to talk do so now!” I said and they sighed
“Look it’s about your father” said the brown hat man said irritably I wanted to punch him why was it always about my DAD!
“Tell me what you know about him!” I urged but I edged back as they came closer I didn’t trust them one bit
“We will as long as you come here now listen kid we don’t have all day someone else wants you not us!” growled the green hat man and I stared at them
“Who?” I whispered
“SHUT UP AND COME WITH US!” shouted the blue one and I panicked they were rushing to get to me
But I ran, I ran as fast as possible and I ran towards the stairs and saw them come up the other I really did feel trapped, so I jumped and landed on some boxes and then rushed to get out of the base as soon as possible but I was trampled before I could I slipped and fell into the floor and I groaned.
So when I got up I managed to grab the nearest thing to me and throw it at the blue capped man and I ran again but this time the brown hat one placed his foot out I was on the second floor of the bars and it dropped on to the ground holding on to my leg.
It didn’t take me long when I held from behind by the green one, I used my other leg to lift them and place them on the wall and push them hard to make the green one tumble and let go of me. He pulled my leg and I kicked him in the face before I rushed down to the first floor but it was too late he held on so tight that I struggled to get out of the grip I managed to fall back over the pole and slowly fall…
I remember what happened a few years back when Faye and Felicity played a trick on me I was lost for hours and I couldn’t get out, they did it on purpose they wanted to get rid of me I gulped as I fell slowly and when I dropped I fell so hard the wind was knocked out of me I groaned and breathed slowly…
I was losing conscious, I heard the men groan and one of them laugh I was so lost and confused for a moment the last thing I heard was the gun shot I don’t know whether I was dead or not all I knew was I felt the pain and I also felt myself drift away…
“Eliza she’s waking up!” I heard Basil cry and I stirred
I was alive I thought, it took me a while before I managed to open my eyes open and close them enough to actually say I was ok and alive. I stared at warm brown eyes and a small moan came out of my mouth I was thirsty and my head hurt so did my back.
“Osservare se stessi watch yourself cara mia” He groaned as he tried to push me back down I looked at the clock and noticed it was early morning how long was I asleep for?
“How long was I asleep for?” I mumbled
“Since last night you had a nasty fall, Raphael found you lying with a small gash on your head so take a breather ok might hurt” Eliza said as she touched my head how warm she was
“They know something” I moaned I felt like crying
“They know what?” Basil asked shocked
“They know something about my dad they said so!” I groaned and it hurt so much to see things
“Honey…” Eliza mumbled as she looked at husband who looked stone face
“They are lying they know nothing they just want you to hurt you now rest up ok, were going to make dinner come along Eliza!” he warned as he steered his wife away from me
“Sorry Sage I will check again” she whispered and walked away with a sullen face
I groaned they didn’t want to say anything because it was true! They know something is wrong! But they won’t tell me how cruel what do I do now? I sat up and held my head in my hands and groaned again this business of being followed and beaten up hurt more and more!
“Hey…” I heard I looked up squinting
“Raphael” I croaked he looked pale and scared
“Can I come in?” He asked
“Of course please do so…” I said as I stared at him with droopy eyes
“You’re still tired?” he asked worried
“No no I am fine please sit…” I nearly cried. “I just want to know something how did you find me?” I looked at him “I didn’t have my phone?!”
“No but I asked around took me a while to find you and just in time I saw the men before anything else happened?” he said glumly
“Thank you….” I mumbled and smiled at him “But I need your help again.”
“Nothing bad I hope” he looked at me with a smile
“No…” I said sadly and looked at him. “I need help to find about my father…” I whispered
And he stood frozen, for a moment I thought he wouldn’t say yes to this or anything at all his face clouded over for a bit a face that looked like it was thinking too much…
“Ok, but that means I have to be with you at all times now after today I don’t want the same thing happening again twice or else I will be a failure” he whispered as he touched my face with one hand and I blushed
“Thank you…” I said sleepily
“Now rest up…” He said as he helped me back in bed
Once I felt my head placed on the pillow I wasn’t even awake no more, I wasn’t even sure if Raphael had left me or stayed with me but I knew one thing.
I needed to know who and what my father did that everyone knows besides me…
